Wow the fitment and bends are so precise. Most people dont know how hard that is to get the bend in the exact place and same radius as the original part. You really have an eye for getting it right. Your parts are straighter than the ones sold most places. I really cant wait to see the sheet metal parts and forming how your doing it. there are also some compound bends that are pretty tricky on the frame that will be a little tricky. I did the same on the rear frame parts. made a piece like that then bent it around the torsion tube. But mine didnt look quite like that quality. great Job!!!!
I remember when I also had very long hair and the showers after a days in the shed welding and grinding would leave black water on the shower floor ;) Great work on the chassis ;)
OH it will come soon enough. All the Barn door guys in CA know about it. and they think he is CRAZY......But they thought the same about me and the bucket truck.
"Oops I didn't have a brake for this 14 guage metal so I made one myself" is exactly the sort of mentality I admire Also respect for leaving the angle grinder guard on
OH yea the spot welder wont do that thick very well. Unless you can find or have a high voltage automotive body shop one. Sometimes you can find one out of date used pretty cheap. The body shops need to have one that is within a certain date. Once they expire they need to buy a new one. Old ones go for between 1500usd and 2500usd. new about 25000usd. But for some reason stuff up in the north seems to go even higher. My wife is from ON.....I know all about the Canadian problems.
