My 35 year daughter introduced them to me last Thanksgiving. I'm 77 and enthralled. A few weeks ago my sister-in-law and husband were visiting from St. Louis (we're in Wilmington, NC) and were seated in a back quiet section of a new restaurant. And there they were, with their cosmic far eastern psychedelic score coming down from the speakers in the ceiling. I said, I know this music! It's K........something! George quickly pulled out his phone and then Shazam and bingo. Made me love the new eatery even more.
The most creative, new sound I've heard in a while: Drummer's a one-man rhythm section and the girl and the guy are playing counter melodies that occ. synch up. And, nobody plays bass like her. Just brilliant!
i'm so glad i found out about this band like a year back :D i'm now lifetime fan and trust me i will be old and gray years old and i will be still listening to this
Mark Speer- When we first started the band, we wanted to have a formula,” he says. “It’s like, ‘This is what we do, and we’re not gonna try and go outside the box too much. We’re gonna explore the box we’re in. I’ve always been a big fan of that. I used to be in bands where was like, ‘Man, we’ve gotta think outside the box!’ And all I’m thinking is: ‘You guys don’t even know.’ Music should never be just for the sake of being experimental. Before you even start, you have to know what you’re experimenting with first.” Love this and yes, in 2024 just discovered these musical geniuses and I’m a better person for it.
Exactly what I was thinking, why aren't these people standing and being involved with them?? Every other live venue I see them at EVERYBODY is on their feet interacting......
