I think Vlad the impaler was the first actual one to begin the lore. He was a hundred years or so before her. I could be wrong though I'm not an expert on vampire lore.

Please don't be scared Marian, sorry if I butchered your name but these people are charlitons and grifters using people to sell books. Don't get me wrong I love the movies but I can't stand to hear someone say this scares them because of it's supposed to be a true story. Just take it with a grain of salt and just enjoy the movies. You're the a**hole at magic shows who ruins it for everyone by explaining how every trick is done to try and "gotcha" the performers, but really you just end up looking like a big dummy because everyone knows it's fake to begin with and are suspending disbelief to have a fun experience, but there you are ruining it because you want to sound smart.
