Pierre Gasly's Formula 1 career has been tumultuous, to say the least. From being dropped by the Red Bull Racing team to winning the Italian Grand Prix, Gasly's career has been through the motions in his three years in the game. In this episode, we look into his career to date and how he went from a Red Bull reject to Grand Prix winner.

What happened to Anthoine is what I love most about Pierre. I can’t imagine having a friend that not only has the same dreams and aspirations but that you’re both good enough to be able to get to the top level (I personally think Anthoine was an F1 level talent) and then to lose that friend so tragically and that happening at the same time as his Red Bull demotions must’ve absolutely destroyed him to the core

One big factor you missed, is that at the same race weekend he was demoted from Red Bull he lost his best friend Antoine Hubert in a tragic F2 accident. To bounce back like he has after such personal and professional turmoil, Gasly has proven himself to be an excellent driver and young man.

It was very different. I watched that race. It was super rainy, and Seb looked like the rain master that day. Then in a Ferrari in Hokenheim years later... that skill went into the wall :( But that day he got pole on a rainy qualifying day, and then the next day in the rain he kept his pace. He had a McLaren (a top team at the time behind him) behind him and I thought the win was more comfortable

Same it sucks that RB just sucks the life out of some of it's drivers. There's a serious problem with their car if only one driver (or two if you count Riccardo) can actually extract anything out of it. I fear though the problem RB is having with their second seat drivers is only going to get worse as development of their car gets deeper and deeper. They've built a really fast, but difficult car to drive that works well for Verstappen, but not for anyone else. Verstappen is a great driver no doubt, but having the entire development for your team centered around a car only he can drive isn't good for a second driver and ultimately will mean RB won't be able to take the fight to Mercedes.

However, I'd have been much happier if it was Checo and Vettle going forward, but that's not the world we live in. Then again I am a shill for Checo especially after he put so much effort into securing the future of the team after Force India.

This win really gave this season a kick up,what a race that was, maybe not the most overtaking race in the final 10 laps, but the tension, one mistake and the win is gone, plus winning in a hybrid era without a Merc, ferrari or Red bull, and the 7th best overall team,Mclaren,Renault,Ferrari,Racing Point definitely better till then didnt won a GP

I might be miles out with this comment but for me he's found a new strength since his countryman and friend Antoine Hubert passed away after his horrific crash at Spa, maybe it's a coincidence but I feel it put him at a crossroads in life as he must have been questioning his future at the time.... one things for certain the Pierre Gasly story would make a great script for a movie

I'm a big fan of the dude, ever since I first saw him drive the STR. I was super disappointed with his stint at Red Bull and cheering for him to get back on his groove, and it made me sad to see the dude replaced, but when he started putting that goddamn Alpha Tauri in places he had no business being in, it made me so happy. I hope at some point, this guy gets a seat at a team with a shot at races and the title. I definitely believe he has it in him.

Lucky enough to have a square of the flag from Monza. Whilst, as a Ferrari fan, it wasn't the result that I'd initially have hoped for. It definitely made me smile.

I thought that one of the greatest radio messages of all time was Pierre's after he got second in Brazil 2019 (up there with Senna after he won Brazil 1991). I was wrong. I'd argue that Pierre's radio after Italy 2020 is the greatest radio message of all time.
