@@jacksonhenry5588 a lot of the "inconsistencies" on this list are just character development or things that pertain to real life. Kevin is a little bit anti-social and weird. I like to think that when someone else told him to wash his hands in earlier episodes, it became apparent to him that that is something that he should do, so he tells others to do it. So rather than being an "inconsistency" it becomes "consistent" with his character development.

@John Barber actually between season 1 and 2 there's no such thing as transplant. I have light hair so I know that when you gel up the hair, and style them pulled backwards it will maximize the balding look, on the contrary dried up side parted rested hair would be the opposite. So it's just that, but definitely Steve carell still has hair, so he definitely underwent some procedure in last decade.

If you continue the scene where Michael talks about college parties, he goes on to describe his fantastically delusional ideas of what college parties are like (inviting the professors, etc.). I think that was just another way of him trying to pretend he went to college, and very clearly not a plot hole. It's very fitting for Michael to pretend he went to college (consider that time Darryl rhetorically asks him what college he went to) and this is another instance of that.
@popperpoppler4569
@popperpoppler4569 Год назад
Yeah I think it was pretty obvious that the few instances of Michael talking about going to college are either him trying to fit in unsuccessfully or meant to be clunky segues into what he actually wants to talk about, like the scene where he says the things he misses most are the parties but really he’s just trying to get Jim to invite him to the party he knows he’s already having.

It doesn’t matter on any show really. The reality is almost all shows start out different than they end up, and while consistency would be nice, it’s almost impossible considering how many exposures they have to write. In the end, it’s all about making 20 episodes a season being funny, and consistency gets thrown out the window.

The writers were mad at Ed Helms for filming another show and missing filming the office so they added some bad character changes. You can tell throughout the ninth season they realized they made a mistake and changed his character back to the Andy Bernard we knew. We all go through personality changes in life and this was a wave of Andy’s changes. All of the characters changed. Something that is rarely brought up is how it was scripted for Jim to cheat on Pam and then put into deleted scenes. Edit: Thanks so much for the likes 🙂

Well I’m one of those weird “goes by middle name” people. However when asked like at school or work what my name is I’ll say my real name, later asking to be called by my middle. So, I would have said my name is Kelly, then asked to be called Erin if I could and then all of my friends and family would call me Erin. If you go by your middle name, it’s a hot mess and you’ll answer to anything.

Michael Scott’s hair was slicked back in the first season to pay tribute to David Brent of the Office UK. Just like how the Pilot episode is almost word for word exactly the same as the Pilot of the Office UK, and how Michael also did not wear a suit coat just like David Brent.

Where u read this? Cuz they still pointed that out with the second pair of Asian girls when Michael marked her... Why would they need to change them when they literally made a point of it ... That makes no sense.... Its either a stereo type belief in casting or it was a split filming/reshoot and the original girls couldn't come back for it... @KDotO79 2 года назад
@@EM-wo6wfI looked this up and no it's not obvious at you say... in fact it wasn't like what she wrote at all? Atleast from what the actress, producers and writers all indicate. It is said that in the first storyline... they were supposed to be different waitresses, uglier ones indicating Michael and Andy failed at picking them up and had to settle for less . During filming they realize that the new asian waitresses was to pretty to play the role they intended for in the storyline so they made them out to be the same ones instead and continue with the storyline of Micheal confusing the two.... This is directly from the creator mouth and one of the Asian actress. This is an excerpt from in an article - The episode was shot in a real Benihana restaurant. According to the show's prop master, different actresses were used because Andy and Michael failed to pick up the original waitresses, and settled for "less attractive ones". At Paley Fest 2007, Greg Daniels admitted that the joke failed due to poor casting. The waitresses that comes to the office were supposed to be unattractive. Daniels stated that the actresses they hired for the role were "too good-looking"... So yeah how bout we find out the facts and not use the obvious when sometimes the most obvious is not the correct answer. So instead of coming in this thread and telling me it's obvious next time look that shit up before you comment bud. Google is your friend. Use it instead of looking like a dumb ass.

Or it’s called “character progression.” Dynamic characters grow over time. I don’t understand how this is a plot hole or anything. EVERYBODY changes over time, and we don’t have writers directing our lives. He’s only saying it’s a plot hole because it’s a TV show. This happens all the time in real life and I’m guessing he doesn’t say that there’s a plot hole in the character development of his mom. Who used to party in college but now she hates drinking? That’s weird. Or the dad who dropped acid and smoked weed at Coachella, but now forbids his kids do drugs? What hypocrite. You live and you learn. This entire video is full of dumb excuses for “plot holes.” He acts like character aren’t allowed to change their minds or grow as people. The fact that the characters are hypocritical and inconsistent is what makes them human! We are ALL hypocritical and inconsistent. The Scranton strangler is Toby, his car is the same one that was being chase. Also everyone was watching the high speed chase around Toby’s desk when Toby wasn’t there. Also Toby got a call but Erin wasn’t at reception to forward it meaning someone had called Toby’s phone directly, probably to ask if it was his car on tv. Also, Toby had felt guilty at the dundies and had said they got the wrong guy, when he went to visit George Howard skub he got choked out, maybe because George realized he was on death row for what Toby did. Also Toby is mentally broken, he watched his true love get engaged twice and married, he also went on an amazing trip just to spend it in the hospital, then he agrees with Oscar when he said he’s mentally checked out since June, he’s also bullied everyday at work and has gone through a divorce. Toby is clearly not ok and would do something like this. Toby also seems to stop caring about himself when he gets really skinny and mentally checks out which means if he doesn’t care about himself why should he care about other people? I think the biggest plot hole is Erin being given up for adoption as a baby and never being adopted. Sorry? A healthy baby not getting adopted in America doesn't happen. That's why the waiting list is years long, and why people in America go through the extensive rigamarole just to adopt kids from other countries. There are kids in America trapped in the foster/orphanage system, but they are almost always kids removed from families. They are usually (understandably) traumatized, emotionally scarred, may have some bad history, etc., and there are sometimes custody squabbles. But there hasn't been a baby sitting around unloved in living memory. (All that said, I loved the deleted sequence where her parents revealed they were puppeteers traumatized from their work on the morbid "Dark Crystal" movie and they couldn't bring a child into such a bleak world. Wish they'd kept it in.)

You seem to misunderstand that people and characters say things that may or may not be true. Because they are human. And humans are complicated. Pam for example says she had pms so she didn't have to play volleyball - She could still do this and be good at volleyball. Plenty of people are good at various things but lie to get out of practicing. These don't contradict each other. Your Meredith example is even more ridiculous. First of all, these episodes are 4 seasons apart. That's not a "plot hole." Character's change. Second, who knows whether Meredith is even telling the truth about not liking Jim. She could have the biggest crush on him and just be playing the "oh he's so annoying card" to save face. These things don't contradict each other. Also most of these aren't even "plot"! This video is kind of shit.

It's also possible his brother used to be a girl! I mean, Josh Groban could definitely used to be female by his looks.

He's saying that so no one thinks he owns a skirt. How do you not get that?
@wiictvchannel1112
@wiictvchannel1112 5 лет назад
@@jtm232556 The problem with people just saying stuff and it being unclear as being real or just to get out of something is that as a viewer we don't really know. For example, in the early season Seinfeld George says he has a sister and even Elaine at some point talks about a sibling. We never see them and they are never mentioned again. Because of that one could assume that they just don't talk to their sibling or the writers just said "nah, fuck it, he/she doesn't have a sister/brother, forget about it." The problem with Andy is that we do see his brother(season 8, mind you) and his family structure throughout the series(even if the parents change actors) So, it leads to the question if it's a joke to save himself the embarrassment of saying he owns a kilt NOT A SKIRT because of his sister's wardrobe or if it's simply the writers wrote that in and then later forgot or just dismissed it. So, with that out of the way, why is it SO obvious that he's lying?

This can all be explained very easily. Michael kept throwing out the radon test kits and they’re all being poisoned slowly

Just cause someone made excuses to get out of something doesn't mean they're bad at it. That's not really an inconsistency. Also, the Asian girl thing was showing how Michael couldn't tell the difference between them, even leaving for the party with different women than whom he spoke to at Benihana's

Pam could have been a temp, an intern or an assistant prior to being a receptionist. So maybe the 8 years which Saul Goodman said was regarding her receptionist job.
