15:36 Pam's reaction here is perfect. She's not disappointed that he said that cuz duh... she's disappointed that he said that within 15 seconds of meeting this new woman XD
There was a great line that I saw in a version of the syndicated show that I cannot find anywhere else for "Branch Closing". Jim says something to the effect of: "I always knew the Scranton branch would close, but I thought it would be because Michael sold it for a thing of magic beans."
I've watched the entire series like 10 times and don't recall that line. However with syndication and also Peacock has the longer/ combined episodes, I'm sure I just might not have seen it
Karens and Pams reaction to the GI line were fucking priceless. On another note, I do think that filling up that milk bottle is not an appropriate thing to do during work hours. But what do I know.
I don't have kids or coworkers who've dealt with that, so I don't know biologically what best practice is for timing. but heres the thing...they HAVE a break room. There is definitely a space to do it where the sound isn't distracting from the main office work.
I like Pam, I didn’t realize that was a hot take 😅 I mean, the essence of this show is how flawed human dynamics can be. (Dramatized of course, but just reality with the volume turned up.)
I think not liking Pam is a backlash thing. PB&J was SO hyped when this show was at its peak, it made people a lot more willing to focus on their flaws in retrospect. But their flawedness is intentional! so while its totally fair to acknowledge, going too far with it is pretty silly. that or it's some incel thing.
Love Pam!!! Everyone has their faults, but she is a sweetheart and life is not always black and white. That would be the worst feeling having her bestie come back and feeling like nothing:(
She rejected Jim, and Jim had been obsessing and creating a relationship with her only for her to lead him on and reject him. She acts like she didn't invest all of her emotional availability and vulnerabilities to him. Jim is actually not being a red flag for once and now we should feel sorry for Pam? She deserves it for ruining every relationship she comes across. She had her chance *SPOILERS*(well at least for now until Jim simps out later).
@@a-a-rondavis9438 She treated him exactly the same way that most women treat their close female friends. Maybe guys just relate differently to each other. That said I do think she was getting romantically attached to Jim but had sunk too much time and hope into Roy. Pam's biggest flaw is that she's afraid to take risks and lives her life in a rut. Jim admitting his feelings was the motivation she needed to make some changes but I don't think she was immediately ready to jump straight from Roy to Jim.
@@a-a-rondavis9438well for the most part, he was just a friend. She was already engaged so their friendship was probably just that to her, a friendship. We could argue that Pam should have seen that she deserves better but we cant really blame her for not breaking off her engagement so she could rush into the arms of her best friend. Jim only told her right before running away to Scranton so its not like she could have realized beforehand that he was serious about her or that she made a mistake and she should have picked Jim. Had Jim stuck around, I think she would have eased up to the idea that they could make a good match. And then when Jim did come back, he tried his best to distance himself from Pam because he was in a relationship and because of course he would after getting rejected. There wasnt any obvious bad guy here, just a storm of bad circumstances that got everyone hurt.
But it didn't. It just costs different people their jobs as opposed to Scranton. Pretty realistic on The Office's part though. The workers always seem to blame other workers as opposed to their corporate overlords.
@@JimmyMacram Except Josh was a manager. He had a responsibility to his workers, not to stay in the company, but to at the very least keep people aware of how things could go for him so that his workers wouldn't get the rug pulled out from under them as they did. I don't think it's wrong for him to take a better position somewhere else, but the way he went about it was a dick move.
@@yomama5368 This is how I saw it too. It wasn't that Josh took another job or even that his branch closed down, because that would have happened anyway. It was the fact that he lead everyone along, including his own employees, to believe that they would keep their jobs, while knowing that he might take the other job and leave them unprepared. Michael (at least according to Jim) would never do that because he actually does care about his employees.
3:42 : I had forgotten this moment... And damn, she DID get topless in front of Michael during the booze office party in season 2! Yep, Meredith WANTS SOME OF SCOTT! hahaha
4:06 is it just me or is bob vance buying out the warehouse never addressed? Or did he not buy it out just yet and is waiting for the Scranton brach to close, cause Daryl straight up said he bought out the warehouse
I can’t begin to tell you how smugly satisfying it was to see Pam’s reaction when she finds out Jim is dating someone else. I love it! Michael’s “this is the worst” face is hilarious. And I appreciate it when Jim goes to bat for Michael after finding out just how much of a snake Josh is. I enjoyed your reaction and commentary as always Jimmy. Thank you! My obsession with Dwight continues!
Yeah, we shouldn't feel sorry for Pam. She broke up with Roy, as she should, but rejected the one she actually liked and invested a lot into. She doesn't deserve either.
I mean it took Jim quite a long time to break out of his status quo. He knew how he felt about her and it still took him a while to tell Pam his feelings. She was in a long term relationship and it's s not easy to let those go. How many people stay in actual abusive relationships? And I'm sure Roy didn't start out as neglectful as he was by the end. I think Jim admitting his feelings probably gave her an impetus to make a change but most people need time to mourn a long term relationship like that.
Nah don’t feel sorry for Pam. She knows Roy a dickhead and tolerated it because reasons! But saw Jim who she had a great vibe with as just a friend. Then gets jealous when he’s with another woman. Make it make sense 😂
She already had feelings for Jim, she lacked the courage to recognize who she should have really been with all along but realizes it now. That was easy.
