The Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism (also know as the B&B Commission) was established in 1963, with the goal of reporting on the state of bilingualism and cultural relations between French- and English-speaking Canadians. The two co-chairs, Andre Laurendeau and Davidson Dunton, faced the enormous task of helping Canada build an equal partnership between the two linguistic groups through the recommendations of the Commission.
