The "fry cook" thing is derived from a rant Brendan went on about how anyone who criticize or makes fun of him is just a hater and "no better than a cat or a homeless person". He also said "they probably all work at PF Changs". Brendan truly thinks if you aren't famous and work a normal job then you are lesser than him and "donut madder". This rant is why the subreddit calls themselves PF Changs or the homeless cats and why it's such a big sub too lol. Most people on the sub were never fans of him and only know of him from the rogan podcast circle, it's just one of the funniest subreddits ever and he is super unlikable.
Most people can't fathom the fun of making fun of someone. Brendan is someone you "love to hate". I think they go overboard like Kaya mentioned some communities do but mostly because I think Schaub is so R that it's ALMOST sad.
I work at a Greek restaraunt, And we took Greek yogurt, cucumbers, salt, pepper and a few other spices. You just made Tzatziki. And its soooo good as a sauce for anything!
I'll drop a few facts here, first we learned fermentation from watching animals eat half rotten fruits off the ground. As a second women can keep producing breast milk if they never stop breast feeding, that's basically what a "wet nurse" was for in the old days.
around 8,000 years ago in what's now Turkey - just when humans were starting to milk newly domesticated cows, goats and sheep - mutations near the gene that produces the lactase enzyme started becoming more frequent. And around the same time, adult lactose tolerance developed. So lactose intolerance is partly due to domestication of dairy producing livestock. which is also related to the larger percent of cheese being eaten in the northern colder hemisphere population. whereas oil was easier to store in the more temperate Southern Hemisphere, compared to solid fats like butter.
There's a lot of nice, wholesome MMA fighters. Ryan Jimmo liked to do silly face off pictures with his opponents. Brandon Moreno streams his lego builds. Demetrious Johnson streams his games on Twitch. Stipe Miocic is a firefighter in cleveland. Kevin Holland just helped stop an active shooter. Matt Cera gently detained a drunk guy in a restaurant without even hurting him a few years back. The majority of fighters are just normal people.
Westernization has helped, but it isn't everything. Alot of island nations have only recently started to have more imported food, so they are genetically more efficient at storing fat than most other types of people. Americans have lived in an environement where they can get whatever they want for so long, that their bodies don't store it as well. I mean just look at most Samoans. Odds are they are either going to have a shit ton of muscle, or are really far. Another aspect is that because these nations just began to become integrated, a lot of them have the culture that a more fat body is beautiful than a skinnier body because it shows wealth. Countries like Mauritania have camps where girls do nothing but eat fatty foods so they can gain weight and find a husband.
Yup from what I read, it was in part due to genetics and in part due to fried foods becoming easy to import and cook rather than their traditional foods.
As a lactose intolerant person, I refuse to be weak and succumb to my body's wrong opinion that I shouldn't be eating cheese and that it's painful me. If it's bad then why it taste good
As someone who loves sugar but cant eat too much of it due to frequent bathroom visits I believe anything that tastes good is bad for your health. Alternatives could never get rid of the original even Coke Cola.
As a lactose Intolerant person I second this although I really only eat cheese and not other dairy products 😅 I have found that some cheeses like mozzarella tend to agree with me a lot more than like cheddar etc which is good because pizza my favourite food.
As a man from rural Wisconsin, I approve of this episode. Also I need to try some of that Turkish yogurt drink. It just might change my life for the better

stephen “wonder boy “ thompson is a ufc middle weight fighter who’s prolly the nicest guy in mma, he’s made some pretty mean ass dudes laugh during staredowns because they couldn’t get mad at him😂
That yoghurt drink is very eastern. In India we have "Lassi", which is exactly the same thing, but sugar instead of salt. We can make it both ways, but the sugar one is more popular. And both of them are really good for your health.
@@CaptainApathetic yeah sugar one is a delicacy. The salt one is kinda niche, mainly for those who are either diabetic or who are actively avoiding sugar for some reason or other.
Yeah there is a ufc fighter like that. His name is Wonderboy Thompson and he is genuinely one of the nicest people around but also a stone cold badass! He has a RU-vid channel as well.
@@matthewfranklin5823 It can, it depends how your body reacts to it. It can completely destroy your mental and cause to to have recurring nightmares, paranoia etc. Some people kill themselves from it. On the other hand it can be a completely dope trip. Just depends on the person. Not worth the risk imo.
I quite like cheese, and milk for that matter. I couldn't imagine how drastic it would be to suddenly become lactose intolerant. Eventually it would be nice to go and try Turkish dishes and what have you.
I use this podcast to help me sleep, and I immediately jolted awake at 1:03:10 , being used to people calling me KrispinWah lol. But yeah, it's a tragic story, his signature move was literally a flying headbutt from the ringpost
Dam Bapa, ya'll keeping the kitchen open late. Must be a reel VIP in the dining room, nevermeddum. Anyway, just wanted to say fryers are on til 2am then we gotta shut it down. BUT - If you come back tomorrow at open you prob get about a thousand homeless cats meowing and making a stir. T'awlembout gettin thangs real hot here at Changs. Yo Clin, pull up that chip.
Imagine what Koalas would think, if they could think. Or Pandas. It just doesn't seem fair that they have to survive on a single, very low nutrition food source, while humans have such a vast array of things they could eat.
Pandas and koalas eat very little different foods. Animals aren't on the same level of humans anyway, so it's not like they should get as many foods as we do.
@@complimentbot7015 I know. Koalas eat eucalyptus leaves (and maybe bugs? Not sure). But Pandas I know only eat bamboo shoots and leaves. Which is a stunningly poor source of calories, especially considering the size of a Panda. It isn't actually unfair, of course. It's just evolution.
@@michaeltalpas actually pandas will eat small animals and scavenge leftover carcasses if they don't have any other food sources readily available. They also eat berries and the like the idea that they only survive on bamboo is just inaccurate lol.
@@michaeltalpas no prob 😁 don't get me wrong the meat eating is pretty rare and to my knowledge its more of like an opportunistic thing as they don't really hunt. Bamboo is still their main source of food but I don't think it has the nutrients to completely sustain them.
The reason island nations are so fat isn't tourism, it's because they were relatively isolated places with meagre diets for a very long time, and all of a sudden were introduced to the types of foods eaten in largely agricultural societies that relied on heavy loads of carbohydrates to get through a 16 hour day of farmwork. Japanese food also isn't very healthy, it's very high in salt and Japan is like the only modern country where cancer rates are going up.
Places with lower economic status actually end up with more obesity because unhealthy food is generally cheap while healthy foods tend to cost more to import if not available locally.
I’m from one of those islands with the high percentage of obesity and it’s not the tourist, it’s just our food out here is real salty savory food and people just love to eat out here
i went to a turkish restaurant because of this and tried ayran and it was delicious, maybe it’s because i’m swedish and salt is quite common in our cuisine but idk man. it really wasn’t salty either, just tasted like good old fashioned yoghurt
I remember my first experience with that Turkish drink when I was there on vacation, my first reaction was ''Woah wtf is this?'', by the next day I had to watch my salt intake. I will say mine didn't taste like cheese, that would've probably changed things, mine just had a refreshing yoghurt taste.
I'm from sweden and i grew up on ayran, it's really nice in the summer. More swedes would probably like it if they ever ever dared to try something "new"..
Love you guys, in general, but especially for calling out the Schaub BS. Absolute clown and perfect example of the type of PoS who shouldn't be given a mic. Birds of a feather, btw...
"Ayran" is very popular for all the right reasons over in Turkey. It doesn't exactly have a taste, but it goes well with basically most of the food around here, especially if it is very cold and bubbly. It could also be served as salty if necessary. Just pure refreshment.
Bruh India and China are in the lower tier not because of diet, but because the average person doesn't eat enough. The ones I found interesting are Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Greece, France, countries that are renowned for their food which unlike the first two is probably because people exagerate portion sizes.
I'll give y'all examples of nice mma fighters for those who don't know. GSP or Rush, ciryl gane, also Brock Lesnar competed in the ufc before and seems nice tbh, Randy the natural Coutore, Rashad Evans, Stephen Wonderboy Thompson, Francis Ngannou, DC Daniel Cormier, Max blessed Holloway, Robert the Reaper Whittaker, Israel can be nice, Khabib Nurmagomedov seems nice, Henry Cejudo, rose naumajunas, roxane modeffari, Charles Do Bronx Olivera, Glover Texiera, Jan Blachowiz, Urijah Faber, Stipe Miocic and the Korean Zombie. Nice people can get heated up with scenarios like in mma but those alone are good people it seems.
In Jordan we have something very similar which is basically exactly that but we use a bit of milk too and we call it Shaneena. I agree with Kaeya though, Yogurt is used in a lot of Middle Eastern dishes as well.
Side fact: The reason why polynesian countries hold the majority of obese people are due to genetics and the rapid westernization of these islands which only promoted worse diet and a sedimentary lifestyle.
I actually read about Nauru in an anthropology course, it's a nation that's used for phosphate mining so Western nations went there to extract the phosphate and they mostly have processed food without much nutrition which might explain the high obesity rate
My aunt called me racist for saying most asians are lactose intolerant.... 12 years later Charlie says this same fact in this podcast. This is my favorite 😍 JACK podcast.
Human milk farms kinda do already exist but they aren't called that. They exist so that people who can't produce milk for their infant have a way to receive breast milk. Also, all humans are capable of lactation with stimulation, there are certain countries where men breastfeeding isn't unheard of.
To relate to the cheese drink, boys get your hands on a case of Spotted Cow beer especially Kaya. It’s beer that is also made with cream cheese from cows, it’s only for sale in Wisconsin(go figure) and it may sound gross but it’s so amazing!
I would like to add that is rugby you also can't raise someone's hips above their head. Imidiate red card. Also when you tackle someone is rugby your goal isn't to just knock then down. Ideally you should get back up and take the ball before the ruck is formed. The contact in rugby always has a goal outside of knocking someone down. You also can't guard. Can't tackle high. And the lack of pads encourage you to pull someone down when you tackle rather then hit them as hard as you can. You use your body weight and pull people to the ground with you.
I am now theorizing that Kaya might be lactose intolerant, or at least doesn't have enough enzymes to digest all of the cheese and dairy he apparently eats. If he takes a week off of all dairy, (which he probably won't) I'd love to hear about the results of that. Source: I'm lactose intolerant, and need a pit crew and a clean up crew after I drop the browns off at the super bowl. = Edit: Okay, what the fuck?
I’m sorry but as someone who trains and is a huge mma fan, there are dozens and dozens and dozens of nice MMA fighters I can think of literally hundreds, you’re just wrong if you say most MMA fighters are nasty and roidef out, first of all Roidz are illegal and second of all watch Steven Thompson, Bryce Mitchell, Edson Barbosa, Alex Volkoff ski, Daniel Cormier, Kevin holland, I could keep going but I’m not going to
@@complimentbot7015 Donald Cerrone, Joe Lauzon, Michael Chandler, Gegard Mousasi, Benelux daruish, Vincente Luque, I mean it’s really hard for me to do this because the majority of MMA fighters are really cool people, I honestly don’t know what he’s talking about, it’s mostly the big ones that are pieces of shit like Conor, But anyways Marcin Tabura, Tai Tuivasa, Sam Alvey, Roxanne moddafari, Rose Namajunas, Valentina Shevchenko
@@complimentbot7015 Chris Barnett, Mackenzie Dern, like I said the majority of them are pretty cool people look up any of these names and watch their interviews, majority of MMA fighters are cool, I mean I could say the same thing about boxers there’s always the crazy boxer though just like there’s always the crazy MMA fighter, fucking Deontay wilder who is a boxer said multiple times in multiple interviews that he legitimately wants to kill someone, And there is an MMA fighter named Sean Strickland who is also kind of a psycho, most martial artists are pretty cool people
"Americans are so unhealthy. Oh did you see the turkish butterman? Every turkish restaurant has a butterman, he pours a pot of pure boiling butter on your food."
