As a POD vendor that has multiple vendors that do the printing, it’s becoming overwhelming how much shipping costs per vendor. How can I work around this so I’m not losing sales cause customer is getting sticker shock?
These are some great tutorials! When I was in print on demand on Etsy, I used Printify. She said in setting up shipping you needed to note where an item was shipping from in setting up shipping. This would be hard with Printify since it used different providers in different locations. What's the solution?
Quick Question when you are talking about free shipping, and you mentioned in the video is one of the ways is to go to your products and put 0.00 for Cost Per Item. So my question really is do you uncheck that charge tax on this variant or do you leave it check for free shipping?
Hi there! Tax charges are separate from shipping charges in your customer's invoice. In the video, we recommend to include the price of shipping in the total price which is why you are putting zero for Cost Per Item. This will display no shippnig charges at checkout or free shipping for your customers. The tax you charge for thr product is different from this. We always recommend you seek your own tax counsel for your business and jurisdiction.
Hi there! If you set up your own flat shipping rate based on minimum order $, for example $5 for purchase under $75 and free shipping over $75 but also create a calculated shipping by carrier (based on weight etc...) then which one will really apply at checkout? I don’t have a way to put these different shipping settings « active » or « inactive » and it’s obviously either calculated or flat that should apply.. Hope my question makes sense 😊
Hi! When it comes to shipping, you can create shipping profiles so that certain shipping rules apply to specific products and collections bit.ly/3gJeBRq. Have you tried creating profiles at all?

So I want the same shipping rule for all my products but I was thinking flat fee so I created that but I also created calculated shipping by carrier in case I want to switch one day. When I have both of these created I did a test purchase and the flat rate applies which is fine but when even after removing the flat fee settings the calculated shipping doesn’t apply and it gives an error message when I do a test purchase. Can you switch from one to the other by creating several shipping rules but activate or inactive some? And why can’t calculated shipping work even when I delete the flat rate ? Can they both be created but I can see the which one is active or not? Kind of like « themes » or « payment methods »? If I create both flat and calculated, how can they coexist in the shipping settings since there completely different?
You can create multiple shipping settings and profiles and the customer would be able to choose the shipping they want to apply. If you want the system to apply a shipping rate automatically, all your shipping rates would need different rules to know what orders to apply it to. If you're not seeing those options appear in the checkout you might need to go over your rates again just to make sure everything was set up correctly. Hi Samantha, great question! Some apps such as Printify, do take care of the shipping and fulfillment as you mentioned. I would however, recommend checking with the app developer directly to confirm what set up is required before installing!
I'm a bit confused. Do we print the shipping label? I thought wherever the product gets delivered from has to package and ship? for example, my product is in china so they ship it from there to the customer right?
If you are dropshipping, then your supplier will handle all the shipping logistics for you, but many merchants use Shopify to sell their own products that they make or store themselves. In those situations, the merchant will need to print their shipping labels for delivery.
Great question! Yes, you still need to setup your shipping costs, even if you are dropshipping. This is because even though you are not shipping the product yourself, the supplier might have shipping costs that you want to make sure is covered, and not coming out of your profit. Hey there! That's absolutely possible. Just keep in mind, however, that the store name you enter becomes your .myshopify.com domain and it may not be changed, depending on whether your store has the ability: (bit.ly/3DTS7qg) to do so or not. If you are unable to change it and you wish to edit your .myshopify.com domain to your actual store name once you've come up with one, you also have the option to start a new store and create a new .myshopify.com whenever you're ready. Hello, I wanted to know If I can sell items in US from canada on shopify without charging tax ? As I am a small business owner I do not have to pay tax as my revenue doesn't exceed a certain amount in four quarters. But I am not sure If that also applies to selling in US ?

If you are dropshipping then no, you wouldn't need to handle the shipping labels yourself - that would be the supplier who sends the order straight to your customer. Automatic and Manual? The type where orders come through and the store owner pays for it and then places the order? Or the Customer makes the payment on checkout and the order is processed that way? Hi there. All new merchants should receive a 14-day free trial when they start their store; when did you sign up? Did you sign up for a free trial via shopify.com?
@@learnwithshopify I am seeing the same situation. Whether using your link in the description OR going straight to Google, there is no 14 day trial, only 3 day. Im located in NY. Im assuming the free trial model has changed, just want to be sure thats all.
Its as if All the issues DONT Exist & just continue making videos while Instagram is trash for creators trying to sell!!! Shopify issues Meta issues Etc.....like stop n fix the problems maybe.
