The Old Bee is a spacious and inviting, one-level, 2300 sqft, 3 bedroom/3 bathroom, private home. The original house was built in 1937 and there have been numerous additions over the generations. This beautiful bohemian-styled home is ideal for folks who want to explore Asheville and the surrounding WNC area during the day and come home to a private, comfortable retreat at night. There are plenty of private spaces inside and out for work and play. The chef's kitchen has everything you need to entertain. Enjoy classic games, arts & crafts, ping-pong, darts, and croquet.
The house is located across the street from Warren Wilson College with 1,100 acres and 25 miles of hiking trails open to the public. The Old Bee is a 4-minute drive to The Center for Conscious Living and Dying (CCLD), a non-profit center that supports and hosts folks in their last 2 months of life at no charge. The house is a 15-minute drive from downtown Asheville to the west and Black Mountain & Montreat to the east. 3 minutes from The Old Bee is the Charles Owen Park which offers fishing, and jogging opportunities, a playground, and river trails. The Blue Ridge Parkway and Folk Art Center are just 10 minutes away.
