I've just finished that long, loong, looong Dwemer site to get the final piece of Aetherium. You can exit via a stairwell down into Blackreach but ehhhrrr I despise that place: I always feel locked, trapped, disoriented. So, I took the elevator... which was locked.
[Insert a brief amount of panic and cursing]
Then I remembered I can summon my fav horse, Daedric, climb aboard and bobs ya uncle. Zoop zoop. Wellllllll...
It's a neat trick which requires a deft touch but most importly - the right angle and the right proximity: close enough to get the menu [X Ride] and not too close that Daedric is inside the trap. As demonstrated in this vid, I am no Bierand, more a Gisli.
Also, side note. Aesthetically and logically, the noise Daedric makes on disappearing is just horrific. It's a horse-in-distress sound. Not fun to hear. Horrible. But, Todd, this is a DAEDRIC horse, it should lack fear. And also also, Todd, Mr Howard, why is the horse fearing or paining returning to Oblivion? I note that @jubileewhispers in her wonderful ASMR Skyrim play-thrus uses a mod called Better Horses; I would hit that fast were it a Creation Club for PS5 and not solely PC. Wait. Wait. Is it solely for PC?
To the Googs Mobile!
[Batman music swells]
Well, buggy me, there is - there ARE. Many. None seem to scream "no horse screams" just summoning or stamina which I ain't fussed at. Tbh, I mostly walk anywhere or fast travel. Daedric is my mountineerer or gate crasher; if I could dink Serana more, I'd use Daedric more but I don't like leaving her too far behind. I ah... I um... I get anxy when she disappears. Sure, sure, I can go to get her at Dawnguard but have you never seen this game wig out?
