ik how you feel!! i never realised there were so many art shops in paris before this trip :'( also i saw you do bookbinding - there was a tiny shop i passed in place dauphine, called ggbookbinding. When I passed by the man was working & showed me some of the books he made, I think you might like it :)
Great video! Paris is awesome. I’ve been there one time and had tickets to the Louvre, but my flight was delayed one full day due to volcanic activity and I missed the Louvre! It was closed the next day and I had other excursions planned for the rest of the trip. This video makes we want to go back!
thanks!! Ahh the louvre is amazing, you could spend a couple days just walking around everything, there’s so much stuff to cover 🌟 It’ll definitely be worth the visit 😍
This is lovely. I am going to Paris with my Mum is September and so I jotted down all your recommendations! Musée de l'Orangerie is on our list and I'll have to visit Charvin as well to pick up one of those stunning palettes and sketchbooks :)
Awesome video! Enjoyed some peaceful watching of Paris! Be good to see a little more of your drawing though! Albeit a little difficult to film at the same time! Keep it up :) - James
oh my gosh this video is so lovely and underrated! i especially loved seeing the art shops- if you don’t mind, how expensive were the watercolours and sketchbooks? :0
thank you!! going back this weekend so hopefully there’s part 2 soon 😂💗 I’d say a bit on the pricier side, it was €69 for a 12 half pan box and around €8 for individual half pans (I guess because they are hand mulled instead of machine made) I think it’s a really nice souvenir + art supply in one if you do pass by, but maybe not the best value The sketchbooks range from around €7 (small paperback) to €12 and €20-35 for the bigger hardback ones (looks like they consist of Canson paper) their website is here, not sure where they ship to though: charvin-arts.com/
@@softandcosy ty so much for the quick reply! i might be going to paris in a few months; your video definitely helped me find some places i’m interested in. looking forward to seeing your future content haha, your channel has quickly become one of my favourites :>
Paris in winter will be so cosy, hope you have the best time if you do go!! 💕💕 & thank you so much, i’m v slow but will be posting sometime in October again 🤣
I'm going to Paris in a couple of weeks. Which places do you recommend to go and sketch in peace? Also, where can I find a bunch bronze sculptures? I like to paint those.
In my other Paris vlog I sketched at the Medici Fountain! The sculptures there are beautiful & in the morning it's very quiet and idyllic. It's tucked away in a corner of the Luxembourg gardens which has lots of seating & marble sculptures scattered around :) For bronze sculptures, the Rodin museum has some in their gardens & I saw lots of plein air painters when I went. Other museums like d'Orsay & Louvre have them too but I'm not sure if you're allowed to paint inside! Dry media is usually fine but I would double check before you go. Hope that helps 😊
Lovely - visiting Paris with a fellow artist in June - so this was helpful to see - excited to check out the Sennelier store, and now I think we need to go to the Charvin store as well! Thank you so much!
From what I understand, the Sennelier stores are no longer affiliated with Sennelier paints, they just retain the name. Beautiful video; thanks for sharing 🙂
you made paris so pure and.. clean?? How is that possible 😭😭 I hope you enjoyed your stay in Paris. It was so nice meeting you after so long. Come back to Paris soon~ Paris misses you and so do I!! Your vlog is beautifully edited ♡ so dreamy

SO PRETTY! I was at the St. Louis Art Museum (in Missouri) this week and saw a Monet there, too! As well as some Van Gogh and Rodin. It was incredible T_T
@@catheroldart it does take up a lot of space compared to photos, but it’s nice it’s like having a video diary 🤩 & the st. louis museum sounds amazing i’d love to see it!! 🌷
