@@oyloy9836 I think he means that kind of strength older guys have, when you think an older person is out of shape and then you load stuff onto a truck with the person and you realize at that moment that the person is a lot stronger than you thought they were.
As a huge UFC fan I would have to say Glover is one of the most mature, humble & wise of the pack. He is almost like a father figure to the fighters. So happy for his success & fruitful journey. Thanks for the wonderful documentary.
The story about his farther teaching him real strength and how to use it, has me choked up. That's what a father is in every word he spoke. So many boy's need that growing up.
I agree fully he puts alot heart into these videos, you always seem to show the entire heart breaking storys of some of the best fighters in the world.
The build up is crazy, I can’t lie…when he spoke about his grandad questioning him being the champion of the world my eyes welled up. This channel is so good.
"Visa issues." Now I know a horrible oversimplication that was. 😆 As always, thank you for telling the full story behind the story. When I look at Usman, Oliveira, Ngannou and Teixeira's stories, it really becomes no surprise that they were all champions. Anyone who's gone through what they've gone through is going to successfully chase down their dreams.
This hit me a lot harder than anything, my parents legally migrated here to the US and seeing the things people have to do just for a better future is beyond anything that I can amass in my mind. I hope one day for things amongst the Americas will be more unified. Thank you for this amazing documentary.
That was so powerful. Considering how disgusting people can speak of fighters when they lose or count them out when they get old this story is the story that silences the crowd and gives us all pause. Thanks for humanising these amazing life heroes who fight against all the odds to win and realise their dreams
You make me cry every time. The way that you tell Glover's story side-by-side with Rocky's was so beautiful, up to the last phrase. Perfect! This is art! Congrats!
Same here, I couldn't hold my tears it's crazy that he left Brazil and he got through so much to end up there again tonight to fight for the belt once more
This is excellent work. As someone who just got into keeping up with MMA in the past year, this is an amazing insight into a seemingly legendary fighter.
Patrick, your documentaries are at another level. Your editing, storytelling, sound designs, music editing (choice of music) blend so well together. Once you start watching, you just keep on going because you want to see how the story ends.
1st- I cried 3 times during this. 2nd- I actually watched the ad. They need to pay you extra because you made that shxt entertaining 3rd- Thank you for sharing your talent and these fighters stories. Truely inspirational.
You do amazing work with your content, I especially enjoyed this one. I had no idea that Glover went through all of that to get to where he is today, I teared up a little bit because of the adversity he went through along with your other video on Francis Ngannou. This is how the UFC should be promoting these fighters so that people know their stories and make them more invested in seeing them fight win or lose.
The king is back. And it's another absolute legendary documentary, reminds me so much of the Francis Ngannou doc. Glad you're being sponsored now too, you deserve this.
Amazing video as always Patrick. I saw you in a comment chain saying that you're terrified of letting us down, you can let that be a driving force for you if it helps, but we will love anything you put out. Your ability to set emotional tones throughout the videos is unmatched. Thanks for another superb video. 🙂
Glover has been one of my favorite fighters for so many years. I was so excited when he won is first title that I yelled and almost cried. I believe he is the example of what an mma fighter should be.
Your documentaries are incredible. I have an idea of the amount of work it takes and I really appreciate you producing this, they are so much better than anything else in the MMA space it is a quantum leap. There is so much there in these guys & girls stories and far too often those stories go untold, or they get told but maybe in bits and pieces that deprive us of having a connection with it like we can through your documentaries. I'm consistently impressed by your work, and it has an impact.
Patrick, thank you for these. Your work on covering MMA and the stories of its warriors are nothing short of spectacular!! I’ve shown my dad your channel and he’s a lifelong mma fan and he’s been absolutely blown away by your work. Again, thank you!! ✌🏻❤️
These are alwagreat videos and I love how Jiri calls Glover "D Glover" .Anyone who doesn't like Glover is just weird he's just an amazing humble guy.Good luck to him tonight against Hill Brazil 🇧🇷. I never knew this was Glovers story ,I just heard he had "visa issues".
Thanks so much for doing this one, Patrick. I was watching Izzy v Alex over the weekend and it made me happy to see Glover in his corner. He always has a light-hearted way of making me feel good. I had no idea of the trials and tribulations he has been through and can really relate to your storytelling where the characters come alive. Thanks again.
Just when I thought your last one couldn't be topped, you do it AGAIN Patrick! I can't fully put into words just how well done, inspiring and thorough these docs are. All while paying respect to the fighters we all love so much. Thank you for what you do, truly. Another banger my friend.
These Documentaries are something else. Lowkey the best stuff Ive ever seen on YT. Detail, work, creativity and emotions everything on point. Keep working!!! Different breed!!!
Patrick, you do an absolutely incredible job painting a picture we all can understand! People like Glover and others deserve their story to be told! Glovers story is a movie and this is the introduction for the word to see a glimpse of what Glover Texeira has went through to fulfill his dreams as a World Champion! He is also a World Champion at this thing called Life! Thank you Patrick!
This documentary and the one with Francis brought happy tears to my eyes. Your documentaries are honestly some of the best ever. It makes me feel like I escape this crazy world while I’m watching them. Keep going brother 🙏🏽💙
One of the best if not the best MMA content creators on RU-vid. Your videos have unique vibe, I have never seen anywhere else. Thanks for the hard work.
In 2 days i watched all of your videos it's was so inspirational, motivational, and emotional and it was so fun to watch i keep watching like 2/3 hours. In my opinion one of the best MMA doc channel You are the 🐐, Thanks Patrick Gavia! 🙏
Your work is so underrated, the research, writing, commentary and editing + everything else is so entertaining. Keep these coming because I cannot get enough.
Brilliant yet again, Patrick. Well done on bringing your sponsor in using the Rocky theme. I normally forward through similar stuff, but by making it creative and interesting, you kept me watching. Soooo good!!
I was, and still am, a huge fan of Glover Teixeira, even before he made it to the UFC. After losing his first title shot to Jon Jones and getting one-shotted by Rumble, I thought his title aspirations were effectively over. I'm proud to have been wrong about that, and my excitement for Glover when he beat Jan was immeasurable. He has one of the most inspiring stories, up there with Ngannou, and will always have my respect, and I will never doubt him or his abilities again (regardless of his age).
Got me all choked up, trying to eat, part about his Grandpa. Lol. Well done. You're timing & storytelling leading up to UFC events incredible. Look forward to many more. Next level documentary talent
Thank you for this, man. I'm a Brazilian myself and a fan of Glover but didn't know about a lot of the details you put on this. Great job. God bless you!
Patrick, your documentaries are on the next level!! I don't usually comment on RU-vid, but your skills are way too good!! Glover Teixeira and Francis Nganou have the craziest stories of the UFC, that's what makes them so strong
This was so well made, thank you for putting this work together. Even though Glover lost tonight and has retired now, I hope that he knows the amount of people he's inspired by doing what he's done.

Jesus Christ this is such a work of art. 🙏🏼 He was already a man I respected, he was the man I am rooting for tonight in Brazil (UFC 283 ) but my god….now he is a man who has touched my soul. All bc of your film making and passion. 🙏🏼 #respect
I will be honest unlike others. These recent doc's are not as good as the one's you released a year ago. Dustin, Francis, Colby, mighty mouse these were the best ones .
I would say the story doesn't have the psychological drama you require to reach the same dopamine response as the others, guess what, all biological systems adapt so you don't become addicted, its not the document that's different, its you.
You consistently tell great personal stories with a wonderfully empathetic and humanitarian tone. Well researched and compelling, keep up the great work
Your videos are like a gift on birthday or any special occasion. So special. Just made my weekend. Now i am going to listen to this for the next few weeks while working out. Thank you so much for inspiring people all over the world with such inspiring stories. God bless you and your family 🙏
Holy cow ! That was a masterpiece. I had no idea what to expect really at the beginning, you did an amazing job, even brought tears at the end. Well done.
@patrick Gavia, I have watched close to 10,000 HRS plus to content in my lifetime. Nothing brings me to tears more than your documentary on UFC fighters. Absolutely amazing work !!!
The humanatiran will that was displayed by Glover and his wife is the eptiome of the human spirit. I would have never known his journey was this hard. God bless!! Please @joeRogan get this man on the podcast!
