As a teenage metalhead in the eighties, all long hair and band t shirts, no one knew that my guilty pleasure was watching The Golden Girls with my grandmother. We laughed so hard at the antics of the characters. I miss my grandmother, but those were good times.
@@RikDog91 Agreed about The Golden Girls. I didn't appreciate them so much at the time...but now - WOW. The writing, the superb comic acting - High quality on every front.
He also missed Larry Storch and he’s now 98 He also missed these 3 people who have since passed away Cicely Tyson As you mentioned Rhonda Fleming Marge Champion And Sir Sean Connery The ones that are still living that he missed are Elisabeth Waldo As you mentioned Marsha Hunt As you mentioned Janis Paige And Arlene Dahl Nehemiah Persoff And Caren Marsh Doll
Sean Connery who's still kicking at 90? No one? I know he's sadly no longer with us. At the time I posted this it was amazing he was still around that long. RIP Sean and we blessed for the 90 years you brought us.
@Boston Guy She was cheated of seven years' career via contractual revenge, and that's complaining???? She never even had legal recourse because women didn't have such rights, then.
All these hollyweird ppl the more i read about thier practises the evil things they belive in and do for money and fame to the point of thinking like the Eygiptions leave nothing behind either that or realized that you cant take it with you so have a field day every day .....
okay i'm going to sound completely insane but when my dad died in oct. 2017 i couldn't sleep so i started playing golden girls all night on my computer to comfort me. three years later i am still watching it every. fricking. night. now i'm starting to get tired of it but i'm afraid if i quit watching it betty white will die. i wonder what a psychologist would say about that.
@@areiaaphrodite i am OCD, i didn't even recognize that. i thought it had something to do with starting it with my dad's death then transferring it. now i totally see how that superstitious behaviour is OCD. i am not compulsive like if i miss a night i can't sleep for fear of betty's imminent death at my hands, lol, it simply started as a joke to my brother and after i said it i started getting creeped out. i truly don't think that would happen though, but i will update you when i quit going to sleep with it and if b.w. dies after that i'm definitely a witch. :P that's really cool you saw this so quickly and answered. i needed to hear what you said. thank you!
"I knew it!" "Im surrounded by assholes!" Rick Moranis, Spaceballs I saw that movie in the theater when it came out. They had to stop the film for a few minutes. Because the guy in the projection booth was laughing so hard, the film ran out.
Aaah Betty White 😍😍😍 Amazing actor! She has this mischievous little spark in her eyes, i adore her. Heaven got a brilliant angel that will make everyone happy and laughing!
ALL of these actors are national treasures! (And let's FINALLY see History of the World - Part II; Hitler on Ice, Mel Brooks!) Also, just very recently, the entertainment industry just lost the AMAZING actress Olivia DeHavilland at age 104! What a career and what a shining star! It's so nice having these actors still around. (And I didn't realize that Carl Reiner had just passed this year. 🥺)
I was looking for Marsha Hunt, who was one of the sisters in the 1940's Pride and Prejudice. Born 17 Oct 17, she is still with us and will turn 103 very soon.
How does one miss Mel Brooks' earliest career highlight? His big break was not being the co-creator of Get Smart, it was being one of the writers on Sid Caesar's staff. That's significant because the other writers in that Murderers' Row were Neil Simon, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, Woody Allen and more.
Because Millenial creators of these videos do not do their homework nor have an idea of who these legendary performers are, what they did in their careers, nor have seen their most famous works. This occurs all to often in tributes to veteran performers.
She helped Tammy Thies along the way when Tammy started the great Wildcat Sanctuary in northern Minnesota. The two became friends. Not only does Tammy get to be around tigers and lions and bobcats and lynxes and leopards all day, she gets to talk to Hedren now and then. I'm so green with envy! :)
WOW! Very good job! I really loved hearing about these people born when my great grandma was around. Great job! They still moving around enough to do television and movies and stuff.
Sadly, we lost Cloris Leachman last week...Jan 26th. She was an absolute hoot on the MTM Show. I also enjoyed her playing Meryl Streep’s motivating mother in Music of the Heart.
Hey, you forgot about Max Von Sydow: this old time actor has been in hollywood for over 70 years.🙂 He's like a chameleon: this great actor is from; The Exorcist "the power of Christ compels you!!!" 👀😬
Old hollywood actors always fascinated me since a child with their class and natural good looks and glamor today I couldn't tell you who is popular in music or acting
Tippi Hedrin. I havent heared of you,in quite a few decades. In short, you were/are a ladt with scrupples high personal standards & what is very rare now these days, integrity! Your style, your actress ability was the true art & personal goodness. Stay to be the same dear, don't ever change?
What about doing a video about the oldest living British actors? Tom Courtenay (currently aged 83); Sheila Hancock (currently aged 87); Wendy Craig (currently aged 86); Jean Boht (currently aged 88); Ronald Forfar (currently aged 81); Bernard Cribbins (currently aged 91); Gudrun Ure (currently aged 94); Julian Glover (currently aged 85); Brian Murphy (currently aged 88); Jim Dale (currently aged 85); Maggie Smith (currently aged 85)!
There are, as of 20 Sep 2020, five surviving Silent Film era actors. They were of course all child actors at the time. There's a Wikipedia page devoted to them. I've followed the list for a good many years, beginning when it was significantly larger and still contained Silent Era adult actors.
Clint Eastwood should’ve been mentioned in this video. He is 90 years old. Yes he is four months younger than Tippi Hedren, but he is the most famous actor among the over 90 brigade. Not to mention his directing. Probably the best actor/director In the history of movies.
Agreed. He's over 90 now, isn't he? What a horrible oversight! (Has anyone noticed that his youngest son Scott is his doppelganger? Sexy as HELL and a good actor too! 😉
They should’ve also added in Sean Connery and Marge Champion in there as well of course they’re no longer with us but they both died in October 2020 and this video was made in September 2020 so yeah I definitely think 💭 🤔 that they should’ve also added them in as well
As a white child growing up, i loved Poitier's movies. They were integrational, and i welcomed them. How do we get from there to now? I am not the one who started hating!
YES, YES? SHIRLEY JONES! SHE WAS GREAT IN THE 1950s, AND MANY MORE? I MEAN, SHIRLEY IS STILL WITH US! INDEED, SHIRLEY WAS A MULTY TALLENT, AND ALWAYS WAS A KIND GOOD INENTIONAL LADY! WHY ISN'T SHE MENTIONED.??! SO DO MENTION SHIRLEY JONES, IN THE NEXT VIDEO YOU GUYS GIVWE OUT??!
Yes I forgot about alot of these people I thought most of them were dead 🤣🤣lol I like all the old cary grant and elvis movies♥️♥️ good video thanks grunge👍👍
frisco21 That's who I immediately thought of too. He was a Hitchcock regular and was definitely still working at 100. He terrified me in the third Hitchcock film I ever saw, Saboteur, as Frank Fry.
I'm amazed that Norman Lloyd's great 'claim to fame' - ie as the villain who was pushed off the Statue of Liberty at the end of Alfred Hitchcock's 'Saboteur' is not mentioned.
