The history of James Town Accra, the Oldest Town In Ghana is fascinating. Many Africans went through the tunnels and taken as slaves never coming back ,hence the called the door if no return.This town houses the first free water fountain in Accra. It also houses the king makers & the kings palace .

I was traveling with a black man from Ghana once. We were both in technology, so we made good money. They sent us to Puerto Rico, and we visited the fort where they kept slaves. He got so distressed and had to go sit down. He could not go down to the slave chambers. What happened to Africa can never be repaid.

Ann was it too difficult for you to video the under dungeon? I wanted to see but you stopped. As hurtful and sad as it is people need to see the evil that was the kidnapping and enslavement of our people. I pray to the ancestors that they have found peace in heaven. Their lives mattered and I will never forget. I am a descendent of an African country and village unknown to me because that knowledge was stolen from my ancestors who were brought to the Americas against their will. Thank you for this vlog. So there was no town or cities built in Ghana before the white man came and built a town called Jamestown in 1619, a town named after a white man. Before 1619, there was no town built in Ashanti land. Before 1619, there was no town built in Fanti land. Before 1619, there was no town built in Ewe land. Before 1619, there was no town built in Upper Volta. Before 1619, there was no town built in Ghana. After the white man put his foot on the soil of the Gold Coast in 1619, that is when towns and cities started to be built in Ghana.
