@@steveh1474 to be fair, it would be anticlimatic if you needed to use the LB in the last fight and someone didn't so you just wipe Would take the wind out of it, it would've been cool if they gave infinite LB but without the 'need' to use it but then it's a balance of how to do that without making the fight last 10 seconds or requiring it

@@longtimenosee6169 There's nothing anti-climactic about it. It's quite the climax actually for an attack to be so strong you need tank lb to live it. It was done in a previous Extreme too, Seat of Sacrifice iirc. If you find it lame to wipe to a mitcheck, what are you doing watching a top pov?? lol

Solving trio 1 caused a group wide depression because we kept thinking that we have to bait the spinny hands with 4 people until I asked "can't we just use 6?". Trio 3 also took a while because it's so fast!

Yup there are debuff that must be cleansed using healer lb

No benefit to not using it either, as each person only gets 1 free LB so if they don't use it it's not like someone else can unfortunately

I only have it set to 100 Mbps bitrate. Are you also playing on a 4K resolution? That's what I'm doing. I also lock my frame rate so the game doesn't steal all the processing power.

I’m pretty sure the minion version of scarab Omega travels around Eytheyris with Alpha. It’s adorable.

The phases are short but the dps checks extremely tight which leads to you sometimes getting behind in the dps check simply due to bad crit rng. This means you have to use more resources to get to the next phase and now you are missing stuff there which puts you behind again. During prog we lost runs in various phases simply because we had bad crit rng. In other runs we had to hold dps because otherwise the boss dies too fast. Some jobs are also strictly better than others. We had to swap out GNB with PLD because bursty jobs are much better for this fight. AST does less damage than WHM for 3 times the effort. Our MNK holds 1 min buffs at the end of P2 because otherwise the boss dies too fast and it will drift in p3. But if we have an AST she can use the 1 min buffs because otherwise we wipe to enrage. I like the challenge that tight dps checks bring but only if you can play what you want and if you aren't bound by crit and DH rng.

That's just a coincidence. We separate the 2 bosses a bit so we can stand a bit more apart and clearly see who we are tethered to.

I think so, yes. Both are really hard but I think TOP is harder. They are hard in different ways though. What makes TOP so incredibly hard is the randomness in everything. DSR had patterns in all mechanics but in TOP you just have to wing it all.

This isn't exclusive to TOP; most if not all of the high-end raiding falls into this category. Many people thinks fondly of the ultimates. It's like riding a bike for the first time: expect to fail many times, but if you can stand up from each failures and preserve, you will emerge victorious. I think it would helps if we discuss specific examples, like what attacks do you thinks that are not indicated in any way. Because as far as ultimates go, there's usually some sort of telegraph. It's a matter of identifying which one is which. For instance, whether Omega-M is holding a sword or a shield is a detail you need to pay attention to, because it indicates whether you need to go in, our out. I won't keep this long, so if you wanna continue this debate, you are free to do so.
