To me, I think each DPS getting to use LB would be a lot more epic than just Tank, Heal, Tank, Heal. Not sure how they would work in the ranged DPS LB, given the obvious fact that range/caster LB on a single target is a mortal sin. Still cool
Yeah, the phase opens with a tank LB. You get two Melee LBs before Cosmo Meteor Caster LB the small meteors Phys Ranged LB to finish off the two big meteors. Tank LB Heal LB Tank LB Heal LB One Final Melee LB
Congrats on the clear! If you don't mind, I have a question. Would you happen to know how many pots you used over the entirety of prog? I want to get into ultimates with this or DSR, but with pots being necessary and costing gil, I'm wondering how much of an investment I might need to make ahead of time
The ending is nice as it essentially keeps to the continuity of omega afterwards a bit, just that this version we know the OMG actually is omega now instead of finding out later
Was watching from Gerald's end and god the 0.3% wipe earlier was crushing just to watch. Huge congrats to all of yall and the memories. We had fond memories of Soundboard Mr. Happy in phase 1 for the number callouts over there as well as the Throatgoat Legend
Wasn't there at the moment of the clear but I was watching every step of the way. Big congrats on the clear to you and the whole party considering the many hurdles you all went though!
Speaking of feathers, one thing I hope for as a DNC QoL someday is stacks of Fan Dance 3. Can't tell you how many times I've been spamming 1 or 2 and missed a 3, so I'm haunted by missing it. >.> Never knowing if I would have procced another.
Yeah but your boy Mazz cheated lmfao. He was "just testing it for others" right? LOL. I heard you also called people "losers" for pointing that shit out. Damn.
I followed a lot of the prog, I wasn't around for the clear sadly. But I hope my terrible jokes made it a bit more bearable. Congrats guys. Heres to less RNG in future DNC updates.
I love the onscreen chat replay that can barely keep up in the end. I started FFXIV when Heavensward came out and have followed Mr. Happy since then for guides and general info. His Ultimate and Savage clear streams actually help me take naps because him and his group are really soothing to listen to. This is the first one where I managed to be present/awake for it and I'm super happy for him! I'm sure that bit of Blue Label was delicious and I hope he's getting some nice rest before his upcoming deep dungeon escapades. Though I'm sure after Ultimate, deep dungeon is barely a nosebleed.
I think there's two points they use it that are unique but not 3rd party. The 1st time they are used they all had a macro that can be replicated by anyone. It was used often for Wroth Flames in DSR, but if you are a player who needs a marker, you click a macro and it gives you a number (unsure if its in order of who clicked it first or if its randomly generated between a few #'s) The second time in the final phase is manually applying them, and I'm pretty sure Zheph the PLD marked the tanks to make them stand out more
People are gradually learning how to use the in-game macros to headmark players. /macroicon "Attack1" enemysign /macrolock /mk "Attack" The above macro will mark the target with the first available marker from that category. It's perfect for when you need to use some sort of priority system.
Pretty much spot on. The 3 chains during Trio 2 are one of our healers marking people. The 2 chains and 4 head markers are split between both of our healers marking people for Trio 3 Part 1. Zheph then unmarks the people with 1s on the first set of Dynamis hops. We used to have people unmark themselves, but he opted to make this easier on people during their 2-minute windows. Finally for the final hop, the 4 players not marked with near/far or with 3 stacks of Dynamis mark themselves.
Congrats haps! I know this was a frustrating fight and I can see it. It was all worth it! Definitely learned a lot by watching your stream. Enjoy the victory!
