Its been 5 months now. I been moving on. I look back at my 6 year relationship with my ex . There’s nothing there for me. I haven’t made contact with him I have no desire. I been working on my self. We live close to each other I only seen my ex once passing by in a car. I only regret not leaving him sooner. Don’t care if he contacts me. Don’t think I will ever go back.
I’m hurting bad. Like it pains physically even. I’ve grown immensely, stayed strong. It’s been more than 2 months. Pain will remain, but I’m making sure that pain doesn’t mean suffering.
You may have stayed strong but you are yet to do the hardest part. You have to let go. I know it seems impossible but it’s the best thing to do. You can only control what you can control. If they come back it’s their decision. You have no control over it but to let them be with their feelings. And if they don’t then there is someone else out there who is worth your love and time. I wish you the best and your not alone as I’m going through the same things right now.
I understand that feeling, sadly I’m still terribly in love with my ex despite her awful behaviour. Problem is I’ve read so much about what makes her tick that I now regret not having figured it out much sooner…
Nothing you can do about it now. Only thing you can do is learn from your mistakes and look ahead 😊 I miss my ex a lot even though she treated me badly. It’s important to realise that we’re not innocent in our situations and that a part of us are responsible for letting it happen. I’m dedicated to never let myself be treated that way again as it’s the only way to move forward and become a better person 😊
This 💯.. whenever I have a new Store Manager take their own store.. I talk to them the day before and they are usually scared.. I give them one piece of advice.. Surround yourself with people who can do what you can not do.. this is advice have have given to many managers over the years, yet I have never thought to incorporate it into my own life.. thank you Chris for putting that into perspective! You are truly amazing!!
Ha, nah, my ex got a great new promotion, and finished her associates degree and basically broke up with me because she outgrew me DURING the last couple years of the relationship. While I fell into a horrible debilitating depression and was just holding on to the relationship by a string. So...she's years ahead of me in terms of self development. I'll never "catch up" and outgrow her. She'll always be ahead of me. So...literal love my life (I'm dead serious, never had love, chemistry, or companionship like that with anyone in my life) down the fucking drain. Mostly because of personal issues that I have little control over. I tried to get help for them but all the medications I tried did absolutely nothing and I couldn't seem to find the right therapist to work with.
So fight. Fight for yourself, not her but for your future relationship. Maybe it’s just me but you’ll only see me down for so long then my pride kicks in. It’s hard but start by distracting yourself with other things and people. Friends family and dating. Against all odds never underestimate your power.
Similar situation for me. I am getting divorced. Life is not fair, you can give your all still you won't be treated fairly. She always had issues and I only tried to encourage her to feel better about herself and grow. I supported her with all my might and now she feels she has outgrown me I am getting dumped. Hell no I an less than anyone, I was massively depressed for a year now and finally started seeing myself again with the help of my therapist. She still hasn't seen any therapist and doesn't believe she has any problems that she needs a therapy infact leaving me would be a better choice. You must fight for yourself buddy. You can do it, never give up.
Outer success is not self-development. Spiritual development is personal growth and that would have included that she brings understanding for your situation and it would not make her do this egoistic step of leaving you behind because she is better off materially.
Love the direction your research and coaching is going in...it's right on! I'd love to hear your thoughts about the timeline of self improvement in relation to re-engaging with an ex. You talk about NC over 45 days maybe going too long, however, it takes more than 45 days to really grow. Is it possible to rethink the suggested length of NC? Also, it seems like it takes more than 2 months for some people to miss someone else. So, I guess I'm suggesting (as and hoping) you might make a vid more about that timing. Pros and cons of reaching out before you've made signif changes, grown stronger...etc. thanks!!
I felt to sad in the breakup that I felt I needed to do something to distract myself and to look forward to. I’m taking pilot lessons and he doesn’t know yet because he doesn’t have social media, but if he ever calls me back I will be very happy to tell him I have not been down spiraling and that I have been accomplishing something great.
To Be Your Greatest Self 💎🙏🏻✝️🌄 Yes I understand. They will need to see us in our Highest Self. Something so much changes towards on our best self. Which of course make them jealous as not reaching theirs. But by that moment, we will normally get over them & able to reach of higher level of another person.
Perhaps it's not a Magnus Opus but I will focus on my hobby and passion of Sim-Racing (actual racing is my passion but ermm NO too expensive lol - (in the hundreds of thousands to compete at a high level)
If you dumped her and you really and genuinely want to fix the relationship with her then YES. If you were dumped then NO, I did that mistake it backfired eventually. At this point nothing will convince them to come back. I am also having a hard time moving on and stop trying to see updates from her or her friends etc. But I am trying to let go, not very successfully but I am trying. If your EX comes back it will come from within her/him. There's nothing you can say or do to convince them otherwise. I have ordered some PC parts a couple of weeks ago, still waiting for them to restart my hobby of Sim-racing. I will be doing something I love, perhaps it's not a Magnus Opus but it's something I am passionate about and will allow me to take my attention off her and focus on something that brings me joy.
