It's ok but not spectacular. Fine for 5-10 degree inclines, not serious hills. Not the strongest 250W motor I've used and the pedal gearing is better for speed than power. Also the pedal assist takes some time to kick in (no fancy torque sensor here) so you can find yourself really struggling before it really starts to help. Main reason to get this bike is weight and how small/cleanly it folds.

I like the 3 speed gear on the QiCycle and it’s torque sensor (none of that surging that reviewers report). Though the draw back of the QiCycle is it’s not half fork and the way it folds is not as compact and easy to carry. Though with the Qicycle if your worried about chain oil / grease getting on your clothes there are kits on the internet to replace the chain with carbon belt drive kit. The advantage of the half folk can be the disadvantage of not able to mod / pimp up the Jaunty much, a concern for wheel spare parts if rim is damaged. I seen the non electric version of the Jaunty @ 7.5kg if i remember right. If the bike last 3 years on moderate use of 4 out of 7 days (before battery dies) its a bargain. Was looking at 16” 750W eBike conversion kit for the QiCycle from leaf bike to beef it up but I end up replacing the torque sensor with a cadence sensor, the kit alone weights 10kg! Think I give that a miss as the battery voltage is different / wiring. Seems any Ebike with good weight and small fold up size come with a price tag 2 to 4 times of the song of youth without sacficing wheel / crank size. Any one known the difference between the Jaunty CFD1 and CFD2?

It seems fine/well built. The only thing I've been wondering about is the bearings in the wheels. It's all custom components for both front and back wheel have a single arm. It's impressive, but seems like a lot of torque being applied to the bearings if that makes sense.

$1150 all in. Not cheap, but if small and light is your #1 requirement then not bad.

@DS7: Nearly fell for their well promoted adverts that so enticing, I got led to his channel from an honest reviewer. Done the dirty swapping for inferior parts when the bike is already cheaply made in terms of quailty. Glad the ordinary person spent time in sharing valued hands on information. Watching less of the pros, more on the cons (pun intended). Void channel names that is the same as the brand name.

If thin and light is your #1 requirement then this is the bike to get. I.e. if you ride public transport and want to bring a bike for the last mile, or maybe want to leave it in the trunk of a car. Also the brakes are fantastic. But its on the low end of power for bikes with 250W. Ride quality is fine but not great. Not as comfortable as bikes with bigger/wider wheels. And I prefer a twist grip to a thumb throttle.

Yep, on the way. Initial thoughts are that its not the most powerful 250W bike, but it is the cleanest/thinnest folding. The best I've tried for public transportation, storing under a desk, storing in a hallway. It's also very light, but not quite as light as advertised. Battery life seems strong. Braking strong. Tires are thin, frame is stiff, so you really feel the bumps. Front light is ridiculously bright. Folding mechanism and magnet are impressive - true one-handed carrying. There is a trick to folding it, you kinda need to lower the handlebars at exactly the right time or the wires get in the way of the folding mechanism. Throttle/power not as quick/responsive/comfortable others I've tested. Can be annoying when getting started without instant torque. Bike is decently fast when using power, but really drags when not. Kickstand kinda cheap and not well positioned.

Yes to both. Pedal assist is just based on speed of pedaling, not how hard you are pedaling (torque).

It was included, so the price was $1150. I believe a couple hundred bucks of that is air shipping from China.

I actually found the manufactory and on Alibaba Got it for 700 wayyyyy better Quality I will do a video on my Pattylocsyn channel! Mine doesn't have a thumb throttle you actually turn the handle instead, the kickstand is wayyyy better. Everything is way more updated too! :)

Not a scam, same bike different branding. If you google around you'll see that United City Bikes is just a rebrand of this Chinese bike that came out in 2017 (www.jauntybike.com/en/aspcms/productlist/list-2-1.html ). Google around and you'll find that's the case.
