So you're saying that the ignition that would usually be a "star eater ignition" and the scorch that would usually be "star eater scorch" get overridden when you have helion being the first instance of scorching a target after the target ignites or when you first start your song of flame super assuming the target has not already been scorched?

@@jackburkel4119 as far as I understand what is going on: if Hellion's scorch leads to the final scorched needed to ignite, then it will be at a reduced damage since Hellion isn't buffed by star-eaters. If Hellion isn't used then every ignition will be at the "star-eater" buffed scorch and ignition values. It's hard to test, but what was determined is that if Hellion is used you will get lower damage.

@@kornboards yeah that checks out because there's been similar interactions in the past. It's a similar interaction with teammates that have scorch, where in that case it was whoever applied scorch to the target FIRST gets the ignition damage, regardless of who caps off the scorch stacks at 100. My assumption is it's a similar interaction with helion. Uffda. That really blows considering how many little nuances like this there are that were introduced in the final shape. I hope they take notice of all of them, but there's so many it's discouraging to expect it to be fixed any time soon to say the least.

Might be worth considering weavers call instead as is serves a similar function and does not interfere. Also very spammable, and unlocks the strand passives.

It’s worth it if you have Euphony, that rotation is only slightly less than with Apotheosis on strand. Plus you get star eater to boost the super’s damage.

@@Backsquatch that would be a point of debate, IL or Osmio offer far better neutral gameplay for most play styles, in the scenario you are taking about you have no stacks of spindle going into a DPS phase so you do the rift - melee - nade - super then nade spam. First issue star eater does not apply the dmg buff to threadlings and they are a large portion of the supers dmg. Second issue is what if you don't have your super and or star eater 6 stacks you don't get a huge benefit where IL and Osmio have a far higher if not to the point of 100% uptime... So in the case of spindle stacks I can get to the cap of 25 before any damage phase and have a far better pre and post super gameplay loop. Osmio gets 20% refund for each threadling that hits and if you pair it with Starfire it's spam city. Last issue prismatic does not have thread of evolution that will buff all threadlings and honestly if you are not strand and trying to use the raid exotic to its fullest you are doing it wrong. Wall of text I know but I welcome any counter points you have in case I need to educate myself.

@@shanehall23 I have osmio synthocepts 4 times, and this one 3 times. It's a waste, honestly. I'll stick to the regular exotics, even on prismatic.

Make it strand oriented for Euphony if you have it. If not, then nova would be good with whatever your personal choice of dps would be, potentially Microcosm due to the damage buff from the instant super. Euphony is my personal choice and it’s crazy with this bond

May be good if using pre nova bomb but you'd want to weaken prior to hitting with NB

I've got an Osmio/Harmony and an Inmost Light/Star Eaters. Both are nuts!

@@Mannybo209 if you want to spam nades yes, osmio makes it to every nade hit gives recharge, starfire gives recharge on empowered weapon kills, it’s on point. honestly Osmio + any strong second choice is amazing, same with inmost light, same with Apotheosis. The only issue you will find is that some exotics like get away artist, necrotic grips, speakers sight, the maxia chest and others can over shadow the warlock class exotic. Edit: for got to say verty is also really strong if you have the correct weapons, as if you like vortex the graviton lance / buried bloodline seems to be made for a osmio or IML or Apothio + Verty.

i was enjoying this a ton but then i got HOIL+ Star eater and the ability uptime seems to be a bettter better

you cant use transcendence if you are on your super and if u use transcendence the pop your super song of flame overrides transcendence

@@TargetSniper365 Nah HOILs regen rates suck compared to osmio. Throw a void or arc nade on ads and watch your grenade come back instantly it’s insane.

Heart and star is a good roll and I got that, very fun plus heart also boosts super energy regeneration I believe too

youre trading poison damage that sure is available when youre melle is but youre giving up essentially a second super/transcendence.... once you pop song of flame and spam your super and it ends you get about 9 seconds of grenade and melle.charge that although theyre not as strong as your super abilities but still pump out major DPS. and then you can pop transcendence for a 3rd round of ability spam and if you set it up just right you can just about have your super again by the time you complete your transcendence spam.

Honestly Apo is over rated, Inmost light is strong, osmio is strong, I am not saying apo is not strong I am saying it is not the be all end all for every warlock build.

That's my god roll. Maybe HOIL and star eaters. Apotheosis just isn't as appealing to me as it is for some people. No touch of flame boosted fusions is a big downer for me. Warlock spamming arc nades just isn't as good after a super imo.

@@oots4790 yeah I love it with vortex grenades. Got lucky on my 4th try and said I was done cuz I was trying to grind for this suggested roll lol. Now Imma roam around and collect from this random chests.

I've earned 15 class items, 12 unique. only one with osmiomancy (paired with claw. -_-), no HOIL and no Star-eaters rolls at all so far. Just trying to do one run of the mission a day. I can't be asked to do more, or to farm chests. I'll hopefully get something decent eventually, but there's literally a chance I don't.

Bs you were getting 2-3 in 40 mins. I've put days into farming these and you on avg get 1 every 30-40 mins. I have had close to 200 class items. You capn

unbind auto melee, and bind both powered and basic melee to the same button, and it'll prioritize your powered melee regardless of distance between you and an enemy

One two punch doesn’t work with song of flame melee, but you can use a trench barrel aggressive shotgun in the rotation instead. Just spam snaps, the grenade is garbage.
