This is the first in a new segment I have on my channel called: 9 Questions. Today it's all about screenwriting and we have an expert in the field, Naomi Beaty. Naomi shares writing advice, tips, and tricks that show why she's one of the best in the screenwriting game.

These are the nine questions that I asked Naomi Beaty today:
1. What have been some turning points in your career or life that have brought you to where you are today as an author, consultant, and screenwriter?
2. What is one element of writing that 99% of new writers suck at? (Or what is the biggest obstacle that newer writers have to overcome?)
3. What is something pro screenwriters do that newer writers probably don’t?
4. What are a few questions that are helpful to consider to gain a deeper understanding of the story we want to tell?
5. You’ve launched The Screenplay Outline Workbook. What are the secrets to not only forming a good outline but also sticking through the entire process of outlining without giving up?
6. What has been the best investment you have made, financially or otherwise when it comes to screenwriting?
7. From your experience, how long can it take before someone comes up with a draft that is properly polished?
8. What has been the single most helpful piece of advice that someone gave you, or that you discovered that impacted who you are as a writer, or how you shape your stories?
9. If you had to recommend a feel-good film that moved you, what would you recommend and why?
Personally, I am passionate about screenwriting and movie scripts. If you would like to learn more about my journey of trying to become a full-time screenwriter, then you can check out this video: • How I Went from PASS t...
