The receiver would only probably make a difference at lan tournaments but even then nothing noticeable, zowie would’ve been praised more if it was an optional accessory and the mice came out at $100.
I thought the receiver would be a gimmick that was mostly useless. Now I want this on all my mice purely to just dock and charge at the end of the day.
@@senseofpermanence receivers arent gimmick for sure, its just the way they did the receiver thing to be so big yet so expensive rather than a normal small portable ones that are much cheaper and ig more practical
@@senseofpermanencethe reason why the enhanced receiver was made as a dock as well is just a gimmick to justify the cost. “If its broken, dont fix it” applies to this mouse since it came with the dongle plus the wire. Assuming it runs out of battery, what are you gonna do? At this point Razer offering their 4k dongle as an extra accessory look like they are geniuses compared to Zowie
I'm using the EC1-CW and I ditched my Deathadder V3 Pro because it's just better for me. I used the EC1 for many years in CS and now with CS2 I find it's still the best shape imaginable for myself.
@@GRiMS2K It's not really noticeable for me. I don't measure these things but it's better than my Vaxee Outset AX Wireless and not as solid as on my Deathadder V3 Pro Wireless. I honestly don't think you'll notice it at all. The mouse is so solid, it's insane. It's also not incredibly light, so if you press on M1/M2 you're not going to be moving the mouse if you're gripping it.

It shouldn’t matter, if it’s different, you can just adjust your sens slightly so it’s the same as your previous mouse, even then it will barely be any different

I simply don't buy the whole receiver voodoo magic thing. People keep citing it when explaining why the price is absolutely ridiculous but there's zero technical information and/or proof as to what the receiver's effects actually are. Also I've not seen mouse disconnection reports from pro players on stage that use logitech/razer or literally any other wireless mouse brand so how can they "improve" what's already working perfectly fine. For me this mouse is antiquated, massively overpriced and underspecced. And it doesn't feel expensive, 2 worst offenders being the terrible scroll wheel and the feet (yes I have held their mice fanboys, they are terrible).
As I type this using my xlite v2 mini lol. This is just another gimmick from a company trying to differentiate themselves from the competition instead of giving customers a solid product as a reasonable price.
Totally agree. The scroll wheel feels/sounds like it’s from some no-name bargain mouse. I sold mine because I couldn’t stand it. The feet are bad but easily replaced. Tend to put core pads on everything anyway. So not much of a factor for me. While the receiver seems like overkill, and generally unnecessary, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like the easy docking feature. Sure I could just unplug and charge with cable, but theres something satisfying with parking it on the dock.
I have EC1-CW and love it so much Despite the older sensor, for me personally I don't mind because I have Darmoshark M3 4K too and still stuck in silver lol But the price is too harsh, luckily I bought a second hand from local community (like new) and still my main mouse to this day
He kinda left this out... but its also a mouse for pros (just check the stats on how many use this) so if you think your missing something you need it might be worth re-evaluating.
lol mouse for pros don’t mean crap - a mouse this price is straight up underwhelming when it lacks so many features and there are clones with significantly better specs and innovations. The point is that it’s too expensive for the features. Pros literally get mice for free. lol
@@ZXTech If considering the tools the top of the field use doesn't mean anything to you then you might want to think about how you evaluate things. Due to the fact that pros use this you can easily conclude specs beyond this are unnecessary. Complaining about the price does nothing against my point either. It is likely overpriced due to subtle endorsement by pros.

But as a reviewer, and you are a gaming brand claiming to provide the cutting edge, you should be doing so not overcharging for stuff behind the rest, and I will complain if the mouse doesnt provide what the mouse claims to be - cutting edge(which they do say so in the marketing).You always judge a product based on 2 things , its claimed intention in marketing, and its price. As for marketing ive already explained the complaints, as for price, Theres almost no bad product, but there is always a bad price. And at this price its not really all that good at all - and no, just because you have esports sponsorship you do not justify overcharging. The margins are plenty regardless I am confident. Furthermore on the spec front, im confident that once the tournament monitors start moving to 360hz, 500hz or OLEDs as standard, im sure pros will start moving to mice with more than a 1000hz - which they already have begun to with the significant uptake in Viper V3s, lamzus, beastx, pulsars and gpx 2s in the latest few cs2 and valorant events ive watched. Just cos it will do doesnt justify not complaining. Im gonna complain if my ferrari priced car works like a toyota camry.
@@ZXTech Your essentially just arguing with a bunch of points I didn't make but feel free to go on. My only point is that you had a considerable section on who "this is a mouse for ___" and it seemed shocking you left out the simple answer being pros given the percentage of pros that have and continue to use it. I haven't disagreed with you at all in that the price for the tech is inflated. We live in a time where most gaming mice top of the line tech is indistinguishable from each other so you essentially are paying for how it feels in your hand and the track record. It likely won't fit the price of the components since it just doesn't need to. If you need me to say this then sure, buying this mouse for it's hardware would make it overpriced. I still haven't argued against that nor should anyone.
@@Vindettacon there's a reason certain pros stick with zowie, and it's because they make a reliable product and the price doesn't matter to them so it should not really be included in that side of the argument. obviously this mouse is a bit overpriced for that tech, but the *_implementation_* of that tech is also a huge part of why people are so loyal to zowie. anecdote - i've owned high end mice by logitech, razer, glorious, etc. but zowie has had the best shape & build quality by far so i am probably biased in this.
