Bruv Arabs and Latin Americans have always been similar look at how many Millions of Arabs and Arab descendants are in Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela and more. also many might have north African origin because most migrants came from Iberia and because Muslims and Most notably Muslim Berbers used to control the Iberian peninsula as well as a lot of Arabs there is a huge genetic mix-up also we are both Conservatives unlike the west (America, Western Europe, Canada, etc.)

In Egypt we don't have that kind of bread in every place.(just in specific bakeries) We instead have (العيش البلدي) or (العيش ابو رده) you can cut it open to put ingredients in it. We often use for (طعيميه) or (فول). او لتغميس الاكل. ميزته انه اقوي من الخبز العادي و تقدر تغمس بيه الأكلات الرطبه(مثل الفول).

In Egypt, we have our own version of "Normal bread". The type of bread presented to us in the video is called "عيش شامى" or "Levant bread" in Egypt. Egyptian bread is similar to this one except it is slightly thicker, which makes it more durable but sacrifices some flexibility. As a result, we mainly use our bread in "utensil mode". We don't roll it (cuz remember, less flexible) but we can make sandwiches with it by cutting it in half and then stuffing each half with whatever you want. Side note: In Egypt, we call bread "عيش" or "Aesh" instead of "خبز" or "Khubz"

Thank you, Marc, for your videos. It helps to dispel many prejudices about Arabs after all the recent disasters. People are people and 99% of people are good ones. Caring, loving and generous. They just want to grow their food and eat it with their families. Only stupid people want to fight. I love food and have lived and travelled all around the world. Your bread looks amazing! In Ethiopia, I ate Wot, a sort of soft bread with dimples like a J cloth which soaked up the juices of the meal. I've made Turkish bread, Indian Naans, American cornbread, French baguette, the many English loaves that we have with herbs and nuts, all are excellent. Thank you once again for educating people about your culture and food. Very Best, Sue

I love Iraqi bread with meat shawarma, it’s soft and spongy from inside perfect for absorbing the sauce

I wanted to like the video more than 4 times!! Lol It's really vital in our life as Arabs.. if I were on a diet & I avoided eating it, my family would be so mad & surprised.. they'd be like: how could you? How are you even enjoying your meal?! Bread = En خبز = عربي Pain = Française Rotti = Urdu (Hindi) I'm working on my French & Urdu tho!

I'd assume it would be easy to find this bread in Australia since there is a big Lebanese population in Australia, no?
