This video describes how important the converter in your RV is. The converter is the power house of the RV, the heart if you will. And while some of the larger appliances in the RV may be powered by 120vac (shore power or generator), they still need the 12vdc system to operate correctly. If you’re interested in learning more about the fundamentals of your RV make sure you press that subscribe button. You can also find the NRVTA home study course for RV owners in my website Thatrvtech.com, the home study course is probably one of the best investments you can make for your RV, and yourself.

Thank you. My Florida house is gone thanks to hurricane Ian, so now I'll really need this information. 👍

What would I do without RU-vid. I literally have no idea how my rv works or needs to be maintained or trouble shooting . I inherited it from my granddad who was an engineer and very smart and did lots of upgrades and loved it as a real home that’s permanently placed on 2 acres with city water and electric hooked up as if it was a regular house including the pluming going right to the septic tank. Half my outlets aren’t working and on a mission to figure it out. This might be it . The batteries . I figured they don’t matter because plugged in 🤦🏼‍♀️ thank you so much

Your outlets are mostly ac. So it wouldn't be the batteries. I'd check fuses and breakers

Very very helpful video. I completely understand the converter, AC/DC 12 volt etc etc so much better now. Thank you. The unit you mentioned that has the converter built into the breaker box, do you have to replace the whole breaker box also, or does the converter come detached from that unit? Thank you.

Great video! I have a question. If my tvs are not working but everything else is, could this be an inverter problem?

What’s your opinion on changing a single 12 v battery to two 6 v batteries or doubling up two 12 v batteries? It seems my single 12 v battery runs down in a 3 day trip. I do have a single solar panel on my roof.
