@@paranoidandroid1997They were incompatible: Carrie wanted a 100% perfect fairy-tale defining her relationship (all of them) and "Mr. Big" (a stupid nickname coined by Carrie) was pragmatic, mature to a fault and had his own idea of romance. Some people would've kiIIed to have John as a partner, some people would've kiIIed to have Carrie as a partner, they're not so bad that they're "toxic", they're incompatible. Miranda and Steve were toxic... well, Miranda was.
@@TheBandit025NovaNah... Leonard got out of his shell to be with Penny and he knows that, Penny learned to admire Leonard's intelligence. Neither Rachel or Ross do that in their relationship.
Ok, I'll settle this. NEITHER ROSS OR RACHEL ARE BAD CHARACTERS, they are just flawed. Stubborn and immature people especially in their relationship, sure but both made mistakes and had their reasons to act the way they did in their interactions, it's just human nature. And I happen to like the realism, it'll be dull if these 2 never had any flaws or conflicts which why people were so invested in their relationship for so long. It was good drama, good writing and good tv.
Rachel was/is right and Ross was/is wrong. It doesn’t matter if they were on a break. He had sex with another woman the same day that she said, “Maybe we should take a break, a break from us.”
@@Chanchanbong If it's valid, Ross thought that the breakup was final and they wouldn't come back, so for him he was already totally "single", so technically he didn't do anything wrong.
@@RedHairNarakaBladepoint without agreement, communication or discussion, i have decided by my own I'm not married to my wife anymore, now I'm single and can sleep around ...
Im not tryna defend Ross, but before he “cheated”,he called Rachel and heard another guy on the background,The same guy that rachel told him not to worry about, that its only a friend, and she invited him as soon as she ended things up with Ross,Ross had gone through the same thing with his Ex wife,When she used to tell him that they are only friends and she cheated on him,Ross isnt 100% at fault, but better communication could’ve been done on his part, instead of bringing past relationships trauma to the new relationship
Exactlyyyy OMG that's why I said Rachel shoulda gotten over it sooner cause she definitely wasn't perfect. That guy should not have been around soon as he made it clear he wanted to get wit her
@@mackenciasteinberg7619 50% Rachels fault for not seeing through that guy, being nice just to sleep with her,50% fault Ross for lack of communication,Both of them toxic in their own ways
Love friends it's my all-time favorite show!! I'm currently going through a separation soon a divorce and it's been pretty difficult but I've really distracted myself laughing at friends. Thank you for posting these I watched these short ones at work
They arguments were so funny 🤣 They should've ended with the last one went Rachel goes to Ross apartment to explain why she didn't say goodbye to him and then he kiss her🤍💍
I always get annoyed when people say "Ross should have trusted her" when he clearly just didn't trust only Mark and he's suffered emotionally from his first failed marriage which gave him trust issues.
He does but Ross has got to have more trust and faith in Rachel. Just because there’s someone who has an interest in her doesn’t mean she’s gonna turn tail and drop everything to go sleep with him
Ross WAS right! Mark would have at least tried to socialize with Ross if he was an honorable man who truly valued Rachel’s relationship. Even though Mark didn’t actively try to break them up, he certainly hoped it would happen. And when it did, he went all in on Rachel.
His fault for dating a hottie like Rachel, if not mark any other guy would have been attracted to her, men get attracted to pretty women, Rachel was always loyal and ross was always insecure, it was his problem ...
“FRONT AND BACK” “Fine BY me “ “Dont you worry abt me falling sleep , i still have your letters “ Everyone’s acting was top notch and matthew perry was a gem ❤
I used to be very on Ross's side back when I first watched (I was a teenager) because he had this wounded puppy look and was generally a respectable person. But as time passed I realized so many of their relationship issues were caused by him being insecure. The thing is, it's not Rachel's job to babysit his emotional wellbeing. She tried so hard to reassure him and make him feel special but he continued to live in his bubble of insecurity even after they got together. And even if we look at Rachel pre-show, as a teenager; she should never have felt guilted into dating him. Just bc Ross was there and available doesn't mean she HAD to date him. I know Rachel can be shallow and mean at times, but honestly, she rarely ever was to Ross. We actually get to see this aspect of her change through her friendship with Monica. But it's not like she bullied Ross or made fun of him or anything. In fact, Ross was so insecure, he joined an I Hate Rachel Club -not because Rachel made fun of him- but purely because of his unrequited feelings. The toxic nature of their relationship would have made more sense if say, it was actually Rachel and Will. Then the guy would have a leg to stand on when implying she's shallow and having insecurities. But Ross literally had no reason to doubt Rachel, yet he constantly sought reassurance, overreacted, accused her of liking others more, and played the sympathy card.
He was also more concerned with being right, than actually fixing the problems with their relationship. It's why he clung so hard to their argument about being broken up instead of being on a break.
Rachel said we should take a break. Ross said ok lets go get some yogurt or something and cool off. And Rachel says no, a break from us. HOW ELSE CAN THAT BE INTERPRETED?! lol
i’ll be the one to say it: they were just terrible for each other. i mean yeah they ended up together (but they were so petty towards each other other, selfish, paranoid and just childish). i get its a comedy, and i love david and jennifer’s excellent acting but ross and rachel were just horrible for each other.
All Ross manages to do for ten seasons is prove why he is an awful romantic partner and how he never works to improve himself, no matter how badly he needs to, mistreating all the women he dated as if it was other womens fault that his 1st wife turned out to be lesbian ... 🤷🏻♂
How Ross actively moves on from her and even helps her when she's trying to date someone as well. How is he solely the reason. When Rachel evem goes as far as getting one of his girlfriend's to shave off her hair. Ross is not perfect by any means, but he is not solely responsible for the breakup. How do you invite the guy that you just broke up with your boyfriend about inside of your house though
@@romallohenry5700 Bonnie shaved her head on her own no one forced her and this was not Bonnie's first time doing it as she is used to shaving her head and this whole situation truly showed us how shallow ross is who was apparently only dating Bonnie for her hair and looks & then he also cheats on Bonnie He cheated on Rachel that's why break up happened and it's quite clear he only lusted after her never love her and once again mark had feelings for Rachel but she had no feelings or was interested in him, he invited himself in and she was just being polite and thankful cuz mark got her that job, she was thankful to him, meanwhile ross never supported her on her dreams & aspirations, she has always been a loyal woman unlike ross who cheats on his girlfriends, hopps from one woman to another and treat all his gfs horribly...
The best thing about friends is no what they say but how they say, the tone and catchphrases like'' that 's what she said'', oh sorry that's from another show.
First of all Rachel didn't date around a lot like ross, ross was literally in the streets,he and joey hooked up the most like strays, When she first met paulo, he tried to get him to not sleep with her, he did the same when barry came back in the picture, when they broke up and the guy called from the bar, he never gave her the number, before they dated someone else left a message for her, he whined about that too, he sabotaged her possible relationship with gavin, the episode with the prom video ross sabotaged when she was flirting with a guy at the coffee shop & made him think she was a prostitute,he sl*t shamed her, called her a sl*t in front of her date, yelled at her again and again, so concluding here I'll just say he never loved her, his actions makes it very clear, he is selfish, toxic, spoiled, narcissist, manipulative, loves playing victim and worse than a monster...
@iloveIndia-re7sdRachel did that too. Phoebe's ex-bald friend, Julie... apart from Ross, she manipulated Tag, Joshua... Emily was Ross' mistake but no one ever blamed Rachel for that, fortunately. Rachel was also raised as an entitled brat and would've turned out like her sisters if Barry didn't cheat on her. And she had daddy issues, she can't confront her dad on anything.
Since he was parents prince mamma's boy it won't be surprising that his parents bought that degree for him, they made sure baby ross gets whatever he wanted while ignoring Monica lol 😂
Much of the show felt like it was about these two growing up and trying to be better people. Sure. The writing didn’t exactly hold up at times. And my god the drama got tiresome. But at its best, Ross/Rachel is about two flawed people learning to get over their hangups and be there for each other. And I still enjoy it.
