Nope, this is not a joke, the title is correct :) IF I was to COMPLETELY detach and strip away sentimental value, remove the "makes my heart sing" mentality and just look at my handbag collection in terms of what I really NEED and what really WORKS for me-these 5 bags are it, 5 is my IDEAL number when it comes to bags. Crazy right? Seems a little cold-hearted no? LOL! I thought long and hard on this list and it was pretty eye opening. I would LOVE to hear your ideal number of bags are and what they would be. For me it’s 3 bags. A bag for work, a bag for running errands, and a bag to go out to dinner/party . My favorite is the Gucci soho disco in black. I recently bought a Marc jacobs tote bag in small as my going to the movies bag.. as a mom of 4 I go prepared with snacks and drinks lol

Loved this video! I would also pick six bags, but I would divide them into three categories with a black and a neutral/beige bag in each category. The three categories: Tote/Large Size: (i.e., Neverfull, and Black Longchamp Le Pliage); Everyday/Medium Size (i.e., Beige Prada Galleria, and Black Givenchy Antigona); Small/Mini Size: (i.e., Beige Mulberry Lily, and Black Chanel WOC). I feel like with a black and a beige bag in each category you have something that will go with any outfit anytime of year.

As soon as I saw the title, I thought of my top five. We agreed on three: Antigona, WOC, and Neverfull. My fourth is red, but my Gucci soho disco (I do need a cross body). Love this list Minnie! I’m happy to see that 4 of your 5 top bags are either in my collection or on my wish list. I have the woc and antigona, and the medium flap and Loewe puzzle are on my wish list. This video makes me think they are good choices. Great video idea! What a great video Minnie!!🔥❤️I wish youtube was existing when I started my collection 15 years ago, I bought/sold a lot of bags☺️Here are my picks from your categories: 1- LV pochette accessoire with Samorga chain to wear it long/crossbody (its not expensive so im ok with travelling with it, nothing ever happened so far in 12 countries) 2- exact same!! (LV neverfull azur MM) 3- Hermes Kelly 32 black 4- Hermes Birkin 35 grey 5- tie between Lady dior red lambskin medium with SHW and Fendi mini peekaboo in pastels pink/yellow (depending on season) 6- my 2 Hermes bags are making me fell extra so everytime I want to feel “Wow” I go for those😁 ✨That being sais Minnie: I realized that I have fews bags that are not sentimental to me, and don’t make any pick for catogories either. So I should consider selling my LV Lockit, my Speedy B25 damier ebene and my Prada Large Saffiano. What a great video, Minnie! You’ve inspired me to look at my bags and try to answer the same question. For starters, I would need my Chanel black lamb skin Golden Class WOC for dressy occasions. For travel, I’d bring my LV Favorite in Damier Azure, very versatile with crossbody strap and hand held gold chain. For winter/hand held, I choose my YSL small Cabas in black, and for summer/crossbody, my YSL small Loulou in dark beige. For very casual and bad weather, I love my little Fendi camera bag. I don’t usually carry totes on a daily basis, but I would also need a straw non-designer tote for the beach, so that would be my extra. 😀

Chanel classic flap black caviar w gold hardware 4. Louis Vuitton black speedy cube embossed (retired) 5. Louis Vuitton Delightful GM monogram (retired) 6. Bonus bag: A Judith Lieberman bag that I inherited from my mother. Evening size. Black crystals on one side, leopard crystals on the other with two handles. One black beads, one a chain, but can also be used as a clutch. I swear I can still smell her perfume in it. 💜

Yes! Finally! I couldn't agree more. Five is the ideal number when it comes to handbags. That makes one for every possible occasion. An absolute maximum would be seven for me. Not more. With the right choice of bags, a collection of 5-7 bags classifies as a perfect, well-thought-out and curated collection. And the best thing is: only the most stunning and well-used bags will stay. My ideal collection of five bags: 1. My dark green Celine Triomphe (for lunches, museum visits and weekends out). 2. My Louis Vuitton Felicie pochette (for every days errands). 3. My black Saint Laurent Sunset Satchel (for any time I need a medium sized black bag, love the top handle). 4. My Bvlgari Serpenti Forever (for dinners. And drinks.) 5. Tote (for every day errands) If I could add 2 more: 6. My red Bottega Veneta mini BV classic (for a pop of color) 7. My beautiful pearl clutch for weddings, events and special occations. Et voila!

Loved your choices. That zipper on the Antigona is second to none. Smooth is an understatement! This is a topic I’ve given serious thought to over the years. Plus it helps curb impulse buys… I think 7 is the perfect number as there are 7 days in a week. Here’s my list: Travel bag - Tumi vachetta leather with black accent handles duffle with shoulder strap Crossbody - Loewe puzzle in tan Work bag - CC single flap in lambskin - it holds a ton and can crossbody Pop of color - Evelyne PM Rose Tyrien Evening - either a woc or Chanel mini rec Everyday - Dior oblique print from the men’s line Exotic - torn between a python Business Affinity or a Croc puzzle. I made a bag plan in 2020. In the ideal situation I would have 7 bags. This will never become a reality since I love to switch my bags often. I do try to keep max 2-3 bags in a category because I don't live in a castle and therefore storage space is an issue...all of these bags I already own besides the Delightful and Dinky. 1. Question: have you created a video on the perfect pouch? I have quite a few items that I carry in my LV Neverful MM Min Lin Sepia [a tote: always my bag 👜 of choice]. My current pouch [Kate Spade], that carries it all, measures 8 1/2" x 5". I've looked thru the LV cosmetic pouches, toilette, etc., & honestly can't determine which one would work BTW: I can't access a store, so I'm purchasing thru the mail 📬 What pouch stands out for you that handles a LOT?

Great video, thank you Minnie! „Cold hard handbags“ 😂😂😂 I enjoyed that, please do more videos of this style 👍 If I tried to chose bags I REALLY need, it would be more than 5 for sure 😃 At least I would need more than one LOEWE Puzzle bag and I would add a category like „always makes me smile when I am low“ and my fovorite bag for this would be a cute mini bag like the LV Montsouris mini or the Chloe Marcie mini tote

I love these types of videos! I am very happy with my current collection. It’s very well curated! I use my Neverfull for work, LV Pochette Métis & Gucci Soho Disco on weekends (I have two toddlers, hands free is LIFE), & I have a beige YSL envelope flap bag that is such a dressy beauty! I have space for one more….hmmmm. I would love a black Chanel or white Goyard tote! xx

So, I own a red GM (large) St Louis and a navy GM St Louis and added a black PM St Louis tote last winter. I wore my red one daily for a year and it’s perfectly “broken in” and the color has faded beautifully. The navy and black have been worn a lot but not daily obviously :) I have seen friends with the white St Louis tote and the color has faded a lot faster than my red and my red is def lighter but in a good way. It’s my observation - haven’t seen any color transfer. Black goes with everything and is year round!!

Mine would be the black caviar WOC and a black Toy Loulou as the super versatile bags, two Pochette Metis,mono and reverse, for two everyday bags, the Nano Luggage for travel. That’s literally what I have now (plus the Boite Chapeau Souple MM as a more unique piece that’s super practical as well and a second Toy Loulou), I purged more than 30 bags in the past two years. I’m getting older and grumpier, sorry wiser, it seems. I used to be an avid collector, now I can’t stand to have objects I don’t use cluttering up my space. PS. A runner up for amazing travel bag is the Puzzle. I only got rid of it because my hands are ridiculous in winter and the Puzzle’s zipper scratched them up every time I reached inside. Otherwise, it’s stellar.
