I'm loving your videos about Amplenote, thank you. QUESTION: from my 20 years as a translator, I've been used to working with _deadlines_ . And I don't see that Amplenote has any. That's distressing, what's the workaround? I like having a "when to start" but also "when it needs to be finished". Thanks!
When I see your videos I really want to try this app specially because of its functionality, mostly things I am looking for but the UI boring and UX is so slow and cumbersome. Never able to stick more than 5-10 min
I agree that the UI is not as appealing as Notion or Craft. But the functionality is so crucial for me that I'm getting used to it. Would like to be able to have bigger text though.
Thanks. I will will presume that the opinion is sincere. I viewed the video precisely because I am shopping for a tool of this kind. If I end choosing Amplenote, I have no problem with an affiliation commission being paid. The key is sincerity and I am satisfied that Shu is speaking his truth. And yes, if it is sponsored, or not (!) it should be disclosed.
I see you're looking at the Whoop. Be aware it outputs an insanely high level of radiation, non-stop. Not what you want from something that's attached to you 24/7.
Remember magnifying photo while editing them back in iOS 16? Well we have now much better alternative app which does same job for you name : ‘photo editor with magnifier’ I think you should cover up that app in your upcoming video
It’s kind of dull visually. A gripe I have with many apps. We’re very limited as far as color. Themes are either light or dark, it’s a light theme with a little bit of color, or a dark theme with no or little color. UI’s should give more choice visually and the font choice is huge as far as overall usability.
the ability to connect your notes with your calendar and tasks is great. For me I use notion, ticktick, and obsidian, but I always try walkarounds to connect these apps together so that scheduling and tracking everything becomes easier.
He's been using it for multiple years now. I think they sponsored him at some point (and might still do) but Shu's been using it consistently enough to give the benefit of the doubt IMO.
