Got wrecked by a BA/Garnet team earlier. Was terrifying, but the round itself was fun.

My duo partner is the best Garnet in OCE, and we have been absolutely recking it with this duo, they have such awesome synergy.

@@justincaldwell8954 agreed. I mained ganon to a couple small tourney wins and superman actually feels more like him IMHO (garnet too). Supes is slow, super heavy but hits like a truck. Just like ganon all you gotta do is punish them a few times before you can delete them with a well placed charge (or a cheeky throw). While black adam is lacking KO power with only that back kick thing really coming to mind and waaaaay to many cool downs to keep tabs on.

His speed and even his animations feel extremely Ganon like to me, but Black Adam is so fascinating mechanically. A slow, heavy character that can just straight up fly, plus with plenty of anti-projectile tools. It's like they took the idea of Ganon, shored up his weaknesses, and then lowered his kill power until he was reasonable and that's where Black Adam came from.

@@42_violets Sure, I can see that. I've mained Ganon since melee; I even tried to make him work in Brawl (impossible BTW). So, when I saw that Black Adam had similar attributes (slow, methodical, big hitboxes) I played him all day hoping he'd become my new main. However, I really do think that the comparisons begin and end with him just being kinda slow. Black Adam honestly feels like more of a mage type than a bruiser or tank class. He has a million cooldowns you need to be aware of, in addition to TWO anti-projectile moves (bubble is OK, the one that attracts projectiles, not so much). Additionally, as a few others have said, he is severely lacking in KO moves. While IMO, practically every move Ganon has can KO if landed at a high enough percentage. The only move that even feels similar to Ganon's kit is Adams down kick as it can easily KO if it hits the sweet spot. Don't get me wrong, the character is certainly interesting, but I think becoming a high-end Black Adam will be difficult; he has a ton of moves to master and chain together, while with Ganon it was simply just a matter of punching the other guy until he was in the blast zone.

@@PrimalZeno black adam kills with confusion and high damage. He keeps the Finns Harleys and Morty’s from just waiting for you to attack and then hitting with their faster attack, but also punishes them for being too aggressive - i like how he balances the game once people get pretty good

Morty is hard... Rick does not have a steep learning curve, I touched him & instantly got results, many yolo moves, Not the case for adam

@@curtoconnor154 even under the circumstance that this was the case, he learned the full moveset, recorded each individual move, discussed what each move means for that character competitively, demonstrated any potentially unique attribute of the moves, edited the entire video down to each demonstration, put a thumbnail on the video, and uploaded it to the public. I doubt most people can do all of that in only 9 hours of a character’s release.

Well he does make the guide vids for pfg themselves he tests all new characters before they get released

It’s don’t think it’s considered a projectile since the whole beam has to track on you and only hits during 1 instance.

If it works like that on Rick lasers and meeseeks or Velma's word bubbles it could be useful just to negate them even if you don't have enough time to change their direction.

@@dierrunner9406 yeah, which is why the entire perk loadout for BA should be cool down mitigation. Both neutral specials have a more than significant base cool down. It’s a lot of time spent to jump, do neutral special and either swat them away or avoid the slowed down projectiles, though.

They move a hell of a lot faster, that's the key issue, I've had matches where we have been the exact same character and had the same perk load out. Yet soon as the match starts they move at insane speeds, it's like being in a race vs someone except they sprint and you walk. Literally killing the game for me.

They focused too much around him countering projectiles, that they gimped his kit. Nakat is the OG, but he spent almost 2 mins trying to justify neutral air special

Nah it’s better when they release weaker instead of the weeks we had of busted Rick being in literally every match launching you to the next galaxy with just the SAIR.

@@Tob10k yeh honestly a lot of their classes dont make sense, wonder woman is classed as a tank but moves like an assassin, jake is class as a bruiser but can take damage like a tank and deal good damage.

@@shinoway_- Lol awe I like winning. Sowwyyy. Stripes way cooler than all the other characters. I don't think he's any more over powered though. Only has 3 cooldown moves, and the bomb thing that hurts him is rarely used. Compare that to Rick who can do nearly all the same stuff as stripe and more. Stripes not over powered. I use other characters well too. Gt is ODD GOBLlN if anyone wants to add me. The i is a lowercase L.

Btw this isn't a flex. This is just a funny observation of a feature in the game. If I play using my best on a day a new character releases theres tons of easy wins.
