As a top 30 Finn, it’s not always good to attack the opponent off stage especially with the new hit boxes. One slip up and you’re dead

You also can shoulder bash into a up strung almost immediately. I still need to do more testing but I've gotten an additional hit after the shoulder bash and up strung. And I'm talking 3 hits happen in under .5 seconds

I've always noticed On The House was the popular choice, but I've personally always run the discount perk. Main reason is I want more control over when my side special shoulder bashes versus does the in-air/teleport version. I prefer to be able to do charged attacks without a gem having to be spawned. It just gives me more control overall.

@@lostgriff I've actually switched to using the free gem perk lately. I feel like they're both viable options, but free gem does have more advantages.

as batman when I play agaisnt finn I expect his shoulder bash so instead of aiming rang at finn I throw it over and since I throw it while at mid range it lets me punish finn after his bash is over and do my combo and let rang return for knockback and hit stun letting me combo again. the other move I do agaisnt the bash is use grapple and cancel and going above finn giving me enough time to down attack and juggle if the dmg is high enough it will just kill, but if it isn't the juggle with bomb will most likely kill if I can get the juggle to go high enough.

Ground side special is great for turning on someone that’s chasing you w a combo since it activates on frame 1. Currently trying to get top 1k w finn in 1v1 and still need to improve on my creativity w the gems/setting traps

I have never seen another person use BMO besides myself because they always spam the backpack move and it makes you lose some coins to summon him (I think like 200 coins) but the BMO Chop is OP to mid and high damage characters and sometimes low damage depending on how close they are to the edge.

While watching this video I came up with a combo, 0% to death! It's charged side neutral > Up neutral (turn to the left if in the lab, the AI might go back to where it was and ruin the combo.) > Side air > Air Neutral > Up Air > Side Air > Side Air > Side Special > Side Air > Side Air Really strong combo if combined with some perks I'd love to see this used :))

This. I topped out at rank 85 Finn (solo queuing 2v2). I like to run iced to meet you + speed force, and I use gem as often as possible to start my combos. It keeps them slowed while I'm sped up by speed force + buying speed buff. Gem is also the safest way to recover from the sides. Also, you don't even need gem to get the benefits of the slow, you can still hit the opponent with apple to slow them. My go to perk setup is Iced to Meet You, Speed Force and Tazmanian Trigonometry. I'll swap out Iced to Meet You for school me once if I'm going against heavy projectile teams (since landing your gem is harder against them anyhow).
