I am trying to do videos on my channel and take pics but the moment I turn the camera on I feel myself slip into someone else, it goes after a while but then I think 💭 maybe people will not like weird me....until I watch you and that inspires me to be me ✌️

To all the people who think that they absolutely need a prime lens with a wide apeture like f 1.8. Look at sorelle. She is taking amazing self portraits with a zoom lens which only goes down to f 4. 👏👏👏👏 Moral of the story, you can do great things with whatever u have.
Agree, I detest the opinion in photography that you *need* to shoot off primes. Primes have their place, but you can get the same shots with not a prime lens.
f4, inside? *flinches* yeah, certainly need something that goes to f2.8 I say at least, or, throw a flash at it :) I was more trying to get at that you don't need to have a prime that does f1.8 though.

This is so encouraging! I don’t have the money to get the most gear or the highest quality things. I’m currently working with just a Nikon D5100 but it’s so nice to hear that that shouldn’t be the focus or primary concern. Also, that beautiful location is everything!! 😍
I don't think anything you do can be classified as lame! I love your personality and how you'll just throw caution to the wind. You're like a free spirit! When I'm out taking pictures, i'm constantly thinking "omg, what if someone is looking?" Or "I look so ridiculous right now" and it just makes it so much harder to dip in that pool of creativity and go beyond the conventional. You're so inspiring! Don't ever change ❤❤

Love the simplicity of the gear! I'm with you 100%. You don't have to have all these crazy bells and whistles to make the art you want. Just need yourself and your camera haha. (obv other things help) but restriction is great for pushing your limits creatively! I love all the different locations you filmed this in! :) Have a peaceful rest of your day my friend :)

Luckily, I used my amazing camera-malfunction-inducing powers and it refused to connect to the remote. Sooo... whew!! Thanks for sharing all of this. One of the things I love about your videos are the naturalness, meaning, you can tell that you make mistakes and edit them and keep some of them. I perform on stage as a singer some. In college when I worked some venues for tips, you make better money with a couple of bloopers. If you are too perfect, people can’t really connect. This is something that is difficult to teach guys in bands that are trying to perform too perfect. Be well rehearsed but savor the time that something is not perfect/forgotten etc. it’s live….it’s actually alive, right?

You should really visit newfoundland Canada it's really beautiful here and we have lots of icebergs and other really cool things like signal hill too. I really hope you visit sometime soon :) and all of your gear is so simple yet really good quality thanks for making videos, so that when I decide to be a couch potato I have something good to watch :)
Thanks for demonstrating you don’t need all the fancy gear most photo channels try to talk you in. I’m on a budget (who isn’t these days) and I simply don’t have the money to go with all the hypes. Besides, it’s all fun to have the gear, but it doesn’t come with a bigger house. And if I want to shoot outside, I’d have to find an assistant to carry all the extras for me. Ain’t gonna happen 🤣 I like to work with what I have. I don’t have fancy strobes, but it inspires my creativity to work with the light that’s given by nature. During winter it can be challenging, but even then I sometimes come up with ideas I would have if I didn’t have to think creatively. Summer lights can be overwhelming too. But I found they work great for macro photography, which some claim is impossible to do without strobes 😁 Thanks for another fun video!

I also think I’m way below average photographer but a professional friend reminds me that it’s about having an eye for what looks good . He reminds me what I lack in technique and technical know how I make up for in creativity or just having the eye to see what could make a good shot 🙏🙏

I Just got the Sigma 16mm 1.4 for my a7sii - less than $500, super sharp, great shallow DOF and auto focus is primo - it is cropped but with APSC mode is 24mm equivalent and i know your like ive already got 24mm but so did i and trust me - its soooo nice having a lens that goes straight on, no adapter and auto fucos works AND the shallow DOF makes it so worth it - do it, u wont regret it!! Also i just learned about clear image zoom on the a7sii - so you can then turn this 16mm (which becomes 24mm) into 48mm by digitally zooming in :)
The Sony 16-35mm f2.8 GM is quite heavy too! The Sony a7s iii and a Tamron wide angle zoom are expected to be announced later this year, might be great upgrade for your needs.
