I do not like zoom lenses, only prime Lenses. That is like I do not like automatic transmission in a car, I like a manual stick, it is more integrating to the mechanic and a greater joy.
Not bad combo at all. I am using sony 20 1.8 + tamron 35-150 and it performs extremely well on events but only where you do not plan to use flash. Because tamron is a natural brick. For travelling tamron is rather heavy and sucks dust, and it is rather short. Waiting for sony 24-50 f/2.8 and probably will replace tamron with it paired with 70-200 gm2 with TC, because i like long telephoto lenses.
I totally agree. Tamron 35-150mm is not a lightweight lens for sure.😅 But optically it is really good. Would I switch to Sony 70-200mm M2? If I had the budget I wouldn't waste a sec.😅
@@SonerBaysal from other hand there are cases like children football cups on small fields where players run fast from far to near gates, with 35-150 you can take whole series ended by goal. And shoot almost everything without switching cameras (if would not lose focus while zooming), also in dark restaurants where action happens from far to near, tamron is very good, and extra stop at 35 is nice to have. Not easy choice…
I personally prefer the Sony 16-35mm f4 PZ. The Tamron 17-28 is pretty soft, and f/4 on the Sony is still totally usable even in low light. Currently pair it with the Tamron 70-180 f/2.8 and a 35mm f/2 from Sigma.
