I think it will help with eliminating fakes being passed off as real, but I don’t think it will help with resellers buying out stock.

I believe the date codes should stay with no chip. And hardware should be changed on the speedyb to all shiny hardware like other bags

I don't understand why it would prevent fakes? Can't they make a microchip too? They just buy a new one, scan it and see what info it has and load it onto their fake chips.

I think your points are fair enough, I hate when people/influencers decide that a bag is basic and just because of that it must be "cancelled".... I also love the Cannes bag and the capucine!!

I really love the Alma BB in Epi leather, I feel like the leather is durable, understated and the silver hardware won’t tarnish. Plus the price is only marginally higher than the canvas. I only wish it had an adjustable strap.

Dear Lou, First of all I'm normally a silent subscriber but I really have to say that you are one of my favorite youtuber and I'm very grateful that there are people at my age who buy luxury and give honest opinion to it and also reviewing. (FYI - I'm also 24 but live in Switzerland ) and Louis Vuitton was my very first Luxury brand that I got into and have been buying there since I was 17 with my own money. But now at my age I really have to say that there aren't that many bags who are really really worth it at this point. My last piece from LV was a special edition in monogram empreinte bicolor leather because I the last couple years I got more interested in the leather bags than the damier ebene or canvas one, also because sometimes leather and canvas bags were at about the same price. Right now I'm thinking of either buying the LV Twist MM (CHF 3'300) or my very first Chanel mini rectangular bag (CHF 3'680). I mean look at the prices... this is not normal anymore for 300 francs more I can get a chanel bag. I feel like this is getting out of hand in the luxury industry and these price increases...

Great video and well said! I just started my LV collection with gently preloved and I added the classics - Neverfull, soeedy b 25 and 2 Alma bb’s. I love all of them. I was a bit worried about the basic vibes but I need classics that will stand the test of time and I really love them!

You're right about quality. I purchased two Gaceful PMs before I found one without flaws. The first one had the leather tab closure was sown on crooked. The second was worse. The handle was attached backwards. When attached, the logo on the handle should be facing outward and the one I purchased to pickup at the store had the logo facing inwards.

I have the same exact problem with the hardware tarnishing on my speedy after 2 years. Apparently it’s a common issue and the only thing that worked was the Blue Magic metal polish cream. It literally transformed my bag and it’s brand new again!

first of all great idea for a video!!😊 and i couldn’t agree more on the boite chapeau collection. Was super hard for me to find mine. And I also loooove the Cannes, I know the french grammar is super annoying, the “s” at the end of “Cannes” is silent. I just got the Dauphine MM last week, it’s muy first LV and it’s beautiful, they also had the Pochette Metis in the store and it’s pretty but the Dauphine looks better on me I think, also the Dauphine fits more stuff and it’s about the same size. If somebody is looking for the Pochette Metis, they have it in the Cancun store, and the SA told me they restock it all the time.

I got the on the go tote in the creme leather when it just came out! It was sooo difficult for my SA to find, i had to wait for 3 months but she is so worth it !! I hate the bag in the canvas and all the other versions because they are too loud for me but the creme leather one got me hooked 😍 i use it in the city, as a work bag, i bring it to the beach, travel bag,.. it is def one of my fav bags i’ve ever bought & i normally only say this about chanel bags 😂✋🏽 also love the fact that you can’t get it anymore, i never see it in the cream leather which makes me happy

I agree on the hardware on the speedyb. My Neo Noe’s hardware is absolutely amazing, compared to my speedyb’s which is somewhat starting to chip on the Bandouliere hooks, ugh. But I still love my speedy. Great video Lou! 🥰

We can realize that they heard the complains about the vachetta leather (not a quality issue) and that is why there are so many alternatives even in the monogram models. In the other hand, I agree that is about time, that they do something about the Hardware. I think that more and more woman are using their design bags on the daily ( even if rotating them). Their bags are robust in general but the hardware does not match the quality of the bag sometimes. Price increase based exclusively in the high demand has „short legs to walk“ because many customers will start to look for alternatives. Anyway this message could apply to other luxury brands aswell. Love you videos😘

Ooooo I love my Ana Luisa pieces I've been looking at the Pietro bangle for a couple of months now, I think I might have to go for it! 💛 I still have the LV soft trunk clutch and the PSM on my wishlist. I love my Neverfull GM and my NéoNoé in Monogram Noir and they're both fabulous! All of that said, I completely agree about the pricing & quality, they seem to feel like they can get away with it because we'll just keep on buying.... And sadly, a lot of us do! Great video Lou! 💕

All great staple choices for sure , I also heard that they were going to be stopping “Made In Stamps” , in other words the tags will no longer say “Made In France” or “Made In USA” . I think it has a lot to do with customers asking for bags specifically made in certain countries and I’m sure also for the reason you mentioned ! Great video as always ! 😘😘

palm springs mini is my most used bag for the past 4 years. bought it in 2017 from paris flagship and it is money well spent! i had the cannes and i sold it. it is super weird to wear crossbody and feels like carrying an ice bucket when carried in the crook of the arm. however, i believe i'm kinda old and big for it and it looks so much cuter when used by a younger petite person. i fell in love with it when i saw it on a petite asian girl in spitialfields markets in london.

The Cannes, the keepall 45 in eclipse and the twist in epi in a bright color are the last 3 pieces on my LV list. I only have 4 other pieces but there’s only so much canvas etc can do. Not traveling yet so hope to add the Cannes this year. I’m open to accessories though like boots. Love your birkin in the back. Now that’s the real goal lol

I totally put a pre-order in for the Felicie Pochette in the scarlet empreinte. Yes, is more expensive but, I missed out on it in the past. I don’t have a red bag either so, I said why not. Small bag, expensive price tag. Oh well... I hope I love it! 🤞

I have the Palm Springs mini (it’s my first lux bag) and I’d definitely love to one day add the Boite Chapeau Souple, Alma BB and Cannes bag to my collection one day along with a few SLGs if possible. I am a bit worried about the quality because I’m already noticing some possible peeling on the leather near the D clips of the straps even though I’ve barely used the bag 🤔

The same thing happened to me and my Palm Springs mini when I first got it where the d ring loops started fraying or splitting. I called LV customer service and sent in pictures and they were able to repair the loops by re-glazing them. If it’s really bad and considered a defect I think there may be a small chance they can swap it out for a new one depending on when you purchased your PSM

I am 100% fed up with resellers / fashionphile. I used to browse / shop and actually sold to them before. But after I was hunting down some hard to find LV items like the mini pochette, nano speedy, pochette accessoires and seeing them on fashionphile brand new for 2x the retail price and seeing how they have 50 in stock really turned me off from the site.

OMG I agree!! I ave been trying for a year to buy a Nano Speedy for myself. Never available. Meanwhile Fashonphile has a glob of Nano’s for $1700-1900. I’ve bought & sold to Fashonphile too, for unloading bags or accessories I don’t use anymore etc but the price gouging is just disgusting. Not sure what can be done though.

But please be aware that the nano speedy has alot of quality issues.I received a pretty bad quality one because I wasn't able to view in store so I ended up returning it.

Yes I get so irras when I look at the preloved market and pieces are brand new but the price they try to sell it for is outrageous. I also noticed on my speedy that everything looked good after a few years except for the hardware. Stop doing insane price increases Louis! 😫 you hit all the checks on this vid👍

It breaks my heart that the alma bb doesn’t have an adjustable strap. As a taller girl, it’s sits in a funny place when I tried to wear it cross body. So I returned it. Always been a fave. I also have the Speedy B but in a 30. Thinking to sell it for 25

I love my neverfull damier. I bought mine preloved but will have it repaired at LV then yes, use it forever. Then have it repaired again before I give it to my daughter. It's such a classic design and very functional.

Yes hardware!!!!!! I love the palm and I need to add a neverfull and speedy 25 bandouliere next. Im trying not to have so many bags. I want to take it up notch later Chanel. The malle and the chapeau its just not my style but so cute!

Agree with your picks! I have the alma bb and think it is an awesome bag. I am waiting to add the petite malle to my collection. it looks great, but can't fit much so it has always made me think twice!

My speedy b in the Damier ebene has tarnished pretty bad too :/ and it started when my bag was less than a year old! I brought it in and the SA wasn’t super helpful

i have the mini backpack i got it as a bday gift last year and the neverfull gm i had for last like 11years and i agree i will ever get rid of either of them ! the quality is amazing !

Palm Springs Mini is my favorite LV bag they offer ☺️ because you can wear it so many different ways, I don’t think it will go out of style. If they release it in the Empreinte leather it would be a dream 💭

Hi dolly I own most of the bags you mentioned here...except the Alma bb. I used to own it a couple years ago but sold it. That bag still calls my name lol. I agree with you about the neverfull I have the same one as you and NO OTHER brand does a good tote like LV. I totally agree. The speedy however I’m thinking of selling bc I never reach for it and it feels very “juvenile” to me if that makes sense 🤣. Awesome video love. 💗

I agree with the neverfull it's now higher and very hard to get unless you buy preloved, You have to practically stalk the LV site everyday all day because it almost never is in stock online or in store. I wonder if they will discontinue it in the future that would be so shocking.

I like the recommendations, especially the neonoe with the black trim and palm springs mini! I want to start my luxury collection this year and I'm debating get a mini or small Givenchy Antigona or a Speedy B 30 in Damier Ebene as my first luxury bag. The Givenchy is my preferred style but I also love the look of the Speedy B and God knows the prices aren't going down so I'm debating which I should start with first. Decisions, decisions haha

@@samcassie9192 yes, I'm a really big crossbody girl. And agreed, I think the Antigona looks better and suits what I like more I just know that I would also want to add a speedy b and don't want to wait until there's another huge price increase.

Hopefully you get the chance to try it on person before you buy it, I know so many people that buy it as their first bag because it’s a classic but the bag just ends up collecting dust because it didn’t suit their lifestyle (no organization, too bulky and sticks out of the body, tarnishing hardware, strap snags on hair) If you love it and tried it and it fits your lifestyle and intended usage it’s definitely a classic piece that’s worth buying!

Mcm is also a great brand it’s not as expensive at Louis Vuitton but you can get the medium Liz tote for $650 and their backpacks and duffle bags are super cute.
