Right I was expecting like fishing or something I’m brand new to this game just got my ammolite armor and now following this video for money and weapons pretty fun so far
I love that you made this guide from a completely brand new character. So many guides like this are put in the perspective of a mid level or high level character
It is pretty easy to do even from the start which is what makes it so good. Honestly, going straight to this is very possible if that's what you want to do.
This was my thought too, so many guides seem to assume you already know how to do everything effectively making their video guide useless. This was actually helpful as a new player to the game. It is an actual helpful guide to getting into the game
Just as a tip- 1) on the way to the enmerkar forest, pick up possessed from the immaculate 2) BEFORE the Cabal of Winds Run, pick up the master trader garb. This is THE most important for the hot desert and pouch space. 3)When getting the ornate chest in the desert, talk to the immaculate and tell him he can keep what he will offer. 4) Now, just go out of your way to the swamp to pick up the halberd, another powerful/high cost starter weapon. 5)While passing through the swamp, do the spire of light run and pick up the pillar greathammer. A great impact weapon that also sells for a ton!
Simply the best guide for making money in Outward and 100% legit. Also, I've spent hundreds of hours on Outward and for some reason I've always wrongly assumed that the scourge monsters were immune to poison, so thanks for correcting that misconception!
Glad you got something out of the video! I too thought the scourge would be resistant to decay, but turns out they just have some physical resistance and are weak to lightning. Odd but pretty useful!
To be fair, there's a video guide that talks about running around in the clock tower without needing to kill anything, which also seemed like a good money guide but this one is definitely GREAT for beginners... fo sho'
Just a heads up to any day 1 players. After idk 3 to 4 hours i made it to 8:22 in the video. This is no small quest. Also, for the horror weapons there some stuff you need that he doesnt mention till its time to craft. If he did mention it, sorry, again, im HOURS in. But what you NEED is ecactly 8 predator bones, 4 occult bones, 4 linen cloths, 4 horror chittin and 4 palladium. Another thing to point out is when he does to the dragon temple its kind of misleading. You want to take a hard right and look for a big white building. Kinda got lost there for a little, but im also not the smartest. Im just going to take my horror weapons and just go back to the beginning and learn from there. THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!
Ya I was not super specific at certain points. This is mostly because the video was already extremely long. First time doing this I can see how it would be very confusing. I have done it like a lot at this point so its hard to remember being brand new to the game. Hopefully you have it down now though!
I just started too this game within the last month and my son and I have really enjoyed trying to figure it out on our own. I started a new character last night and started this guide and left Charsonese for the first time. Made my first horror weapon and really enjoy this new adventure. In my mind, I can imagine this guide being like given a map and directions from a wizened old sage whom I camped with over a snowed in few days of the Charsonese winter...
Glad your enjoying it! Outward is challenging at first, but truly one of the greatest adventure games you will ever play. Finding different paths through the game. Discovering secret weapons with untold power. And learning all the ways quests change depending on which mistakes you do or do not make. And the combat is is much fun especially in coop. Hope you continue to enjoy the game.
Im impressed...Im a new player...even with your video Im not sure if I can do it...I can see it now, Im in some dungeon with the game paused..surrounded by mobs ...trying to watch this video to see what the hell do I do next.😂
The first run is definitely more challenging, especially since you aren't familiar with these dungeons I mentioned. Luckily the wind temple is large enough to run around in and after that you at least have a few weapons such as traps and a horror weapon to help in the next area.
while going from electric lab to the 2-3 chest, enter the cabal of wind tower for one more shell horror (if you can kill him in a small space(chacram build))
@@marcinduman2651 knowing is half the battle, and just like you said after subsequent playthroughs you're swimming in excess silver. Very satisfying at least for me.
Just bought the game and this is the first guide I've come to. Currently on the quest to rescue Rissa from the bandits and I am dirt poor. OK gear but absolutely loving the blind play, but I need some silver!
On console I did the split screen thing for money at the start town. Can get a few thousand silver a hour. You can also use split screen to have a mule that you can pull up anywhere to hold everything you don't want to carry.
One more thing there is cut to get to Berg 2:05 when you go left there you can run up the hill and enter enmerkar from behind much faster. And as always thank you for good video.
Liked and subbed, for one reason - and one reason alone. For the fact that you are knowledgable at the subject at hand. The fact that you broke up the video timeline into sections for easy referral later on is a fucking bonus! I hope other youtubers take a lesson from this video because THIS is how you do it. You even waited until AFTER the presentation of your material to mention a like and sub, most youtubers these days only spew out content and always ask for the like/sub at the beginning (ie. within the first 5 seconds) of their video, which shows you have manners.
Well thank you and I am glad you enjoyed the video. I have tried to make content that I myself would watch rather than chasing the subs. I myself don't like hearing about subs and likes 2 seconds into videos even if they say you are supposed to. So I try to avoid it especially in a guide video like this one. And if you want to know about Outward... this is the place to be 😅. I have covered 90% of the game now I think. Welcome to the channel.
It is interesting how some craftables are worth less than their materials, and then the horror is better to craft for profit. Thanks for the helpful info!
Ah ya you will need that to get the most out of this. On the other hand, this path does still give you a lot of stuff to sell so its still worth doing for some decent coin.
My god. Im Very thankful for this. Seven of my playthroughs. Getting full tsar gear. and Basically a Man who lights himself of fire and uses Greatswords. Only to get to Caldera and Be eternally chained to Building a town, another method of getting money. is Doing the "Compass" Puzzle. Just go to purple mountain in starting area. And get to the top. (Have way too many arrows or it wont work) Then just walk a step forward Facing north. and avoid the Invisible holes. Then just do it for all the other regions (In Berg Its the cabal temple. In monsoon its the Flower on top the mountain. Then is Abrassar its the Statue with the Spear in the desert. Head to the Levant palace. head upstairs And if you did it right. You can see a wood bridge that gives 100 Gold ingots. Might have forgotten the amount)
Nope you didn't forget anything. You get 100 gold for this and its a great start to anything. Also nice to do while playing the rest of the game so you have a guaranteed 100 gold for New Sirocco.
That one is pretty hard to find unless you are familiar with the area. If you leave the second hive which is above the other one you can hug the wall there and run into it. It shouldn't be too big a deal though as there is plenty of palladium in the desert later on in the guide.
Great guide! I already had a saved game up to the third Holy Mission faction quest, I did the Electric Lab part of your guide and could buy all the skills I wanted and still have about 12 gold left.
Good video. Unfortunately it lacks a few little details. It's good to mention that you can Shell Horrors close at the bottom to run upstairs and detonate the bombs again. I don't know if those who aren't completely familiar with the game and the mechanics will guess that this is the way to do it (lock mobs at the bottom). It's important that you also can't stay in corridors with corruption for too long. Occult Remains are also dropped from Burning Man near the burning tree. There is also another palladum vein there (near the entrance to Bandit Camp). In my opinion, it is also important to watch out for Hornet clouds from Walking Hive. This has to be avoided in order not to get Hive Infestation, which has to be treated with poison. Despite these lacks, the video is great :D I suspect that you created it for people who are already somewhat familiar with the game, and that's why you skipped these things. I wish you good luck in creating more tutorials ;D
@@SheenShots Thanks for your reply! :D I have an analytical mind and always analyze everything and try to be very thorough with everything. Is it good or bad even in games. When I wrote out everything I think is missing here like that, I didn't mean anything bad of course :) I'm simply writing what I think might be useful to the viewers of this video and to you in making future videos. In a positive sense, of course ;)
I'd recommend it. There are still some aspects that aren't done well, like how long the second DLC takes to complete. But its a blast overall once you get into it.
You missed the green hive while in the forest. Dangerous, sure, but a guaranteed 900 silver unique decay greataxe plus an ornate chest. Should have enough traps to cheese it just by looting stashes on the way. Also you mention crafting but not the warm potion grind? Was that patched in definitive?
Warm potion grind does not work well anymore. You only get one potion per craft instead of three like you used to get. So its possible to do but not fantastic. And ay I skipped the hive guy because I tried to avoid as much combat as possible. But if you manage to kill him absolutely do it. Another 900 silver is never bad lol.
i usually do the 100 gold easter egg with the invisible bridges but decided to try this out. the burning forest palladium scrap had me looking for like 10 minutes because I paused after the video sped up again thinking that you just didn't show the scrap location.
When you're pulling the lever in the tower you can drop down from right above the lever without taking fall damage, sometimes the enemies don't even see you if you do it that way instead of running the long way around
For anybody too anxious to leave chersonese until it's mostly complete some good money makers from there are: The trog cave questline (200 silver from hackmanite, drops, and turning in the shield and giant heart) Looting the bandits at the camp (at least 140 silver if you sell the cleaver halberd and the brutal weapon) Farming hyenas for leather (5 silver) bones (8 silver) and meat which can be made into Jerky with 2 meat and salt, which can then be made into travel rations (the exchange rate makes each meat around 9 silver a piece) Farming crabberries to make toxic charges with 2 grilled ones and a salt at an alchemy station (3 silver with each craft making 3 charges, so 9 a piece) Farming for blue sand (14 silver) on the beach where you get the tribal favor you can also kill the shrimp for husks (9 silver) and eggs to make bolt rags the cave on the beach also has 3 piles of sand and a shrimp to kill but only opens at night
Are there any mods that let you share materials in Co-Op? I just started playing and noticed my friend raided a big chest and I got nothing....which was frustrating. Feels like they should just do their own stuff in their world and only join if I need help with fighting? Because if they just take everything it won't help me with what I'm trying to do. 🤔
you can dup anything if you play split screen. Gaining silver its easy because loot always comes back. Weps and Armor are best loot. Game still broken, you can get stuck, waiting to die of hunger and thirst.
I remember the money making method I used when the game first came out was becoming a world class potion maker and traveling from village to village buying up all the oil possible to sell in the desert
New player, in the Cabal of the Wind Temple I did not realize what Corruption was, ended up getting Corrupted then Defiled & died. I didn't think I stayed in one spot for that long, was just trying to get the enemies to follow, but it seemed to be everywhere, before I knew it, it was like something was attacking me & I didn't even know what it was/what was happening. Took a LONNNNGGGGG time (& a lot of gold) to get the Corruption off of me. Super frustrating. Lesson learned, I guess. Besides I guess running faster, anyway to prevent that? Use Resist potions? Armor with better Resists? Thanks in advance! I was almost ready to make the Horror Weapons but had spent so much time getting that debuff off of me, had to log off. Good stuff, thanks for the video!
Corruption can be cured using sanctifier potions bought from almost all alchemists in each town. Typically the money from your temple run will pay for them. At least that is how I deal with it usually.
Just really sincerely want to say thank you for your Guides. I'm late to the party, just discovered Outward, & honestly, if it wasn't for this Guide & some of your others, I'd probably have quit in frustration by now. Game is still difficult for me but at least it doesn't feel hopeless like it did when I first logged in. I've got some Monies, some decent Gear, the barebones idea of how Combat works, at least the framework of a Build, some direction, I'm overcoming my brutal start & starting to actually have some fun with the game. My 1st play session in Outward was an exercise in futility, don't think I've died so many times in the first few hours of a non-Souls game in my entire gaming life. I was flat broke, lost, literally & figuratively, I was ready to give up & call it quits. Then I found THIS video & some others, & decided to stick it out & give it another go; glad I did. You probably have no idea how huge your hints & tricks are to someone on the cusp of uninstalling. Much appreciated, thanks again!
Glad I could be of help. Outward is at its core a very simple game. Exploit your enemies elemental weakness and stagger them for good openings. Problem when starting out is you don't know enemy weaknesses, have never seen how enemies move around or attack at all, and won't know which skills combo well for staggering. This makes the early game SUCK big time because the more you die the harder it is to recover. Major learning curves to get over, but once you got it, a huge world of possibilities open up. I would highly recommend good blocking options like two handed mace or shield and some one handed weapon. This lets you block much longer and actually see enemy attacks before risking a hit. You could also use guns or magic to range out enemies, but to actually learn combat really well a shield is almost too good. Hope you continue to enjoy the game!
There is a pickaxe at the beginning of the game, in cierzo storage, and leaning against a bench in berg. All better chances to get one than buying one.
Just got this game it’s so frkn hard haha but I love it so far even if it’s such a slow beginning I’m gonna follow this vid as I wanted the horror spear anyways and need moneyyyy
I just started too and my son and I have really enjoyed trying to figure it out on our own. I started a new character last night and started this guide and left Charsonese for the first time. Made my first horror weapon and really enjoy this new adventure. In my mind, I can imagine this guide being like given a map and directions from a wizened old sage whom I camped with over a snowed in few days of the Charsonese winter...
I got second tzar stone from one chest in desert. Also, I found very effective to make poison spears in swamp area for sale. If you unlock mana, then wile in berg, advice to learn couple runes that make a trap spell. This way you can save on pressure plate just using trap as first trap
If your playing online with a friend you can glitch in endless money, just get the person who's joined(not host) to drop all their silver then crash by going back to home and shutting down, then you load back in to the hosts game and you will have your gold again plus what's on the floor. Rinse and repeat!
I noticed that when returning to the Electric Lab, killing the golems doesn't seem to matter as ornate chest can be looted again, and the tsar stone doesn't respawn. You also can't interact with the purple orb anymore.
I followed making Horror Weapons and selling in Levant but....there was no disclaimer that the merchants there would not have enough money lol had to shift gold around
i would highly advise against doing this. Outward is an absolutely lovely and immersive game and you'd be ruining the experience by doing things like this.
Well yes and no. This is simply another way to explore the game. It is also just crafting weapons and clearing dungeons. But in a very optimized way. Ya its so good at making you money it will be hard to try to get rich any other way. But it also gives you much more money to buy all kinds of potions and gear you would otherwise need to wait on. Plus for getting to the New Sirocco town building this massivly cuts down on the grind for samples.
If the horror weapons are not working it is likely you are not p[laying on Definitive edition. The soroboreans DLC added the recipe for the horror weapons so you need either that or the Definitive Edition which comes with both DLCs. The desktop application will not change to DE unless you do it yourself so many people end up playing on old Outward without realizing it. The title screen should say Definitive Edition. If it doesn't you are not in DE. Hopefully that helps and I know this is a bit frustrating.
Hey there! It took for me a days to reach out the progress on 7:22 even its not my fyrst time in Outward. Thank you for the infromation - I will keep going , but its not that easy how feels like on the video.
This isn't really necessary as money comes from crafting. This will grant you enough money at the start to spend as much as you want whenever you want. Its sort of overkill. You get get by fine just playing if it's too much at the start.
@5:03 : In fact my GF & I discovered that it s pretty easy to make the big Horror Baboon falling down from that large window ;) . You just have to slightly move after the edge of that window , then you will fall down but quickly stopped by a little cornice 1 meter below .Then just run left or right on this cornice , and the (stupid) Horror Baboon will follow you , but being way bigger than you, it will miserably fall down ... like a Big Baboon ;)
There is, but I have not covered one unfortunanlty. Usually I will simply farm out the caleygrey arena and then head to the oil caverns and ancient dweller cave. There are actually a lot of ornate chests over there but it's hard to explain where they are all at.
This feature came with the soroboreans DLC. If you can't craft that recipe it means you are not in definitive edition or don't have the DLC. I would recommend checking the title screen to see what your on. It will have definitive edition if your in that version.
@@SheenShots oh silly me, I had opened all the gates to the central room to help round them up easier. Oops haha EDIT: Went back to berg, healed up, and nailed it on my second try. Managed to get em all in one go too!
Would be nice to have an update, as it seems there is a lot of corruption gained in the wind temple. Pigeon eye now only takes 40 silver and there's no chest to loot.
You should try and read the dialogues and/or the quest log sometimes. You’d learn so much from the game! Like how you can actually give Pigeoneye silver up to 5x (ie total 200). Don’t just blindly do what the video is showing man, or else you won’t even enjoy/immerse in the game on your own.
@@Ardeus saddly im too slow irl to use my shotty laptop to do that but 1) load up game 2) split screen and sign into account u want to dupe silver on 3) drop 2nd players backpack with silver in it 4) 1st player gets ready to spamm pick up 5)2nd player presses up on dpad to equip the backpack and presses stop split screen 6) gotta be fast but not early player 1 spams pick up on the silver right after player two stops split screen works on original game not definitive edition good day sir
You can continue on into the desert. There are always hive in the next location that are a bit more reliable. Some inside that hive too if you are low on occult remains.
For some reason i dont think making money in outward is hard. I went runic sage and i just clear out all the zones getting more than a k each. By the time im done with one the other is ready to go. Ive got like 60 gold bars, and 1500 coin.
If you play through the game and explore well, money really isn't and issue. Monsters often drop high value loot and any ornate chest is guaranteed to have something to sell. Then if you get into crafting you can get rich instantly as crafted items sell very well depending on what you make.
Great guide, thanks for the help. Im having some difficulty selling the weapons because the NPCs dont have enough money to buy them. Is there a way to fix this?
Each piece of meat is worth 4,5 silver if you make it into Jerky and then into Rations...... Only reason you would do this is if your jerky is about to rot
Just wanted to ask. Why didn't you cover the 100 gold developers room. That alone can be done right at at start much quicker and at far less risk. Love your videos, but I was really surprised you didn't go do it
I never tell people to do that as specific advice, because honestly it is quite hard the first time. And it takes a bit. However I did cover it in a separate video because its a really neat puzzle they added in. Here is the link if you are ever interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sDjL6xjLa3Y.html
Buy the gold bars. They weigh less and allow you to sell more. Then you will need to spend three days in a tend outside, in a house, or in the inn to reset the shops. They will have money once again for you to strip them of lol. Hopefully this helps.
This is a good idea as there are many instances when this can happen. My initial advice is take a closer look into the foods that get rid of burnt stats. Having more of those on your person can alleviate the pain of dying and being stuck with 15 stamina nd health in total.
how does this work after you've activated all the levers once in the electric lab? If i come back after area reset do I need to hit all the levers and do the whole puzzle again? Or are the chest already available after you've done the puzzle once permanently?
So the ornate chests will never disappear. They are unlocked forever on that character and only need the region to reset for their loot to respawn. The levers inside the cave will go back to their original state after area reset. This way the dungeon stays the same. But you don't need to do it more than once so it should matter at that point.
The weapon balance mod changes that. Proboina did not like how easy they were to get and then sell extremely high. He said its feels a bit more balanced that way.
I'm confused, you're saying to use this guide to make money, but is it feasible to apply these methods to get the initial 150 silver you need to keep your home? Can the methods you describe be used within the first 5 days?
To get the money for you house, leave to the beach and save a man there. He gives you a tribal favor which will replace the 150 needed to save the house. Then for the build and potions you can use this to get the large amount of money needed.
@@SheenShots - Thanks, I forgot about the tribal favor. Also I find it amazing that you connected the lever in the Dolmen Crypt with the room in the tree husk. If I played this game for ten years I would never have figured that puzzle out. Well done.
What does he mean by "once you buy every house in every town"? I thought from the wikiy ou can only buy one extra associated with the faction you join?
So houses are available in each town. You can buy all of them in a single playthrough as well. However, this is only the case after you beat your faction quest. Which means you get one house until that storyline is done. Then, since you need to go to other regions for the other caves and quests you can purchase the houses in those towns. Which helps with the storage being connected between houses now. It used to be separate which was very annoying.
@@SheenShots I just got into this game and I've been watching every video youhave, thank you. This reminds me of what Dragon's Dogma could have been if it had coop.
