@@marilenatriantafyllou5751 to her friends, to everyone around her, the mikealsons were a problem for them, for all of them, and the last time they came around it consequented with a lot of death including jenna, i can understand why she wanted to meet ester that badly, she was the weak human and she stood defenseless in front of the originals, she was trying to help, and ester wanted to help her get rid of them, which is why she came to the part in the first place (to meet ester) but damon didn't want that, she was just fed up with it all, and honestly i don't blame her, being a human admist all the supernatural shit can be a lot, especially when you can't do anything to stop it
Damon is literally me: Alone, Sad, Destroyed, can't have the one we love, Hide our pain with anger and selfishness. We pretend we're fine but we feel like shit. The pain never goes away and every mistake we make never goes away. We can only count on ourself.
the thing with damon is you have to respect the stuff that he is willing to do for the person that he loves and to ensure their safety, and ye you can think hes a bad person doing bad things but in reality he is just doing what he has to do to keep the ones that he loves safe. hes the only one willing to make the hard choices and that is what is admirable
Damon is amazing. He is misunderstood. He is selfless. Caring. He's just a broken guy who does terrible things to become what people think he is, a monster. He's just a little boy who was hurt over and over again. By everyone, he cared for. Stefan, Elena, His mom, dad, Katherine, etc. Sure he's done terrible things, but he just did terrific things also. He is and will always be my favorite tv show character. He is so relatable. He only turned his humanity off once, but the thing is, he didn't have any good left when he killed all those people, so it didn't make a difference if he turned off his emotions. Also, Stefan would turn off his feelings at every bump, when Damon wouldn't. When Stefan did something terrible, you guys would ignore it, saying that he is a ripper, but when Damon does one little thing wrong, you all will bash on him. Elena was the only person who loved him, especially when he couldn't love himself. Stefan and Elena were never going to last because they were in a high school relationship that was cute but would eventually break down. They fell in love in a week because of the doppelganger prophecy; all the doppelgängers would fall for each other. The thing is, Damon and Elena went through hell but still ended up together. Sure they were toxic at points, but so was Stelena. First, Elena loving Stefan, Elena dying, the sire bond, her turning off her emotions, turning them back on, Damon breaking, Elena erasing her memories of him, Elena with Liam, Elena falling into a deep sleep, Sybil messing with Damon’s head, but still they came out together. If that's not, real love then idk what is. Stefan only liked the idea of being human with Elena, so when she turned, he saw her as a broken toy. He let her die and almost drove her off the bridge where her parents died. Damon saved her from when her car flipped, Klaus killing her, Klaus using her as a blood bag when that girl shot an arrow at Elena. He stood in front of Elena when Elijah or Klaus tried to harm her. Even after she rejected him, he still helped her.
@@mu6192 Not necessarily, he did do some shit, and should be accountable. But it’s not fair if some other character does some shit, and gets forgiven, but when another character does some shit, they aren’t forgiven.
What's worse is that Stefan knew why Damon felt this way yet he still made Damon out to be a monster with no reason for being one Damon was abused physically, emotionally, mentally, And verbally constantly and often by there Father way more then Stefan was and also the effect on his Mother leaving had a major effect on him and then Stefan only started chasing after Katherine once his brother did as shown in the 1864 flashbacks then Stefan did other stuff to him
@@callumbrown7604 he was not willing to let him die! He needed his brother. It's the same when Damon took away the choice from elena and fed her vampire blood so she wouldn't have to die. Stefan did the same thing. Well he didn't cause misery to him, to everyone else also.
Whatever Damon did he don't deserves shit like this , Elena is gone everyone he saves hate him now . I hate everyone who hates him , he did everything for her and he need a Happyend !
I agree loads I put a comment like that before I read this and I’m so glad I did and they didn’t get w happy end especially Nina in real life because Ian went for Nina’s ex best friend but either way he still deserves Elena, maybe not Nina but definitely Elena
Seen so many shows liked many ppl n dere acting but DAMON and KLAUS stand IRREPLACEABLE ....NO ONE literally cud hav ever done justice to these roles ..they brought something gud out of these roles coz no matter how bad how houndrous things dey did bt IN THE END we WANTED THEM TO B HAPPY.. cheers to JOSEPH n IAN fr being a bigger part of my journey ...learned care protection passion will to destroy for the one thing u want..trust n dat in the end we hav to defend our demons which we hav inside us n being a better Man ...thanx fr being an EPIC PART
The way Damon looks at Elena at 0:33 he look at her in passion, joy, happiness, relief and little sadness ✨⭐️ that’s break my heart every time I see this clip 💔 That’s sure we know that Ian somerhalder is a great actor 👍
Every single person in Vamp diaries has have tough lives full of death and despair, their characters are judged based on how they can accept the flaws of themselves and their companions.
Damon deserves Elena not Stefan because Damon is always there for her he always saves her and Elena always hurts him. Damon is a good man and he changed just for Elena. That is awesome.
Mesut Ozil Okafor literally yes omg he is so similar to klaus even tho sometimes they want to do things their own way or are so selfish its always because of someone they care about and love its always them trying to protect their loved ones and yet nobody sees it :(
@@vesaosmanaj7852 don't you see a pattern with Stefan and Damon, and Nik and Elijah... the big bad wolf who makes all the wrong decisions for the best and the good bro full of bad history and murders
ilinca vladut what i love most about these two shows is the bond between families like its so important than love and always chasing love i love how it always shows how klaus always puts family first and he’d die for it and damon also always cares about his brother like 🥺
One of my favorite scenes in TVD that explains why damon is the way he is. Its the blood brothers episode in season 1. Damon wasnt going to transition since Katherine was dead but stefan made him turn. Stefan made him the monster they see him as
I feel like the only character the writers have the guts to give proper development is Damon. Whenever the other 2 screw-up there’s always an excuse or is brushed under the carpet. *stefan* Stefan stalks Elena for 3 months - brushed under the carpet Stefan doesn’t tell Elena she’s Katherine’s doppelgänger before sleeping with her - swiftly brushed under the carpet Stefan risks elena’s life when he doesn’t have his bloodlust under control (1x18-1x21) - oh it was the bloodlust clouding his mind Kills tons of people in the summer - he had no control, he was the ripper Stefan calls Elena a human bloodbag - oh he was the ripper, he wasn’t himself back then Stefan tries to drive Elena off wickery bridge - he was having blood-control issues Stefan let’s Elena die - he was “respecting” her choices (even though he fails to do the same three episode later when she decides to ask Damon for help) Stefan can’t accept vampire Elena - she’s not herself anymore so maybe he’s justified. *elena* Uses Damon as her whipping boy, pushing and pulling him, giving mixed signals - NEVER MENTIONED EVER AGAIN ON THE SHOW Elena chooses Stefan yet again but it clearly is a mistake since she goes to Damon 6 episode later - never even mentioned, let alone be treated as a mistake for which she needs to redeem herself in Damon’s eyes. Elena turns off her humanity and goes down a dark path after all the pain she’s been through - it wasn’t her her choice, Damon made her do it. Stefan and elena’s mess-ups are always left ambiguous which restricts space for their proper character growth Now Look at Damon Comes in town to destroy it and release the tomb vampires on the town people - no excuses, he was evil. He spends the rest of the season redeeming himself by protecting the town from those tomb vampires, almost loses his life in the process. “ I came into this town wanting to destroy it. Tonight I found myself wanting to protect it. How does that happen?” Snaps Jeremy’s neck - no excuses, spends the rest of the season protecting Elena and trying to be her friend to redeem himself. Let’s his humanity back after an intense internal conflict because SHE wants him to feel. Forcefeeds Elena his blood (to save her life, but even so) - no excuses, realizes his mistake, apologizes to Elena and spends the next few days running around doing damage control to prevent the sacrifice. Snaps Ric’s neck - no excuses. Apologizes to Ric and spends the next few episodes trying to get back his friend. Every mistake Damon has been treated as one. This has led to further character development for him. The writers don’t fear to completely break him down to build him back up again. As Damon says in 2x21 - “it was ALL ME” I’m not the one that wrote this I just wanted to pass the comment because I absolutely love it.
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE SAY HE SELFISH literally he always saves everyone I know he’s done bad stuff but he awkward helps people.Him and Bonnie are the most selfless imo
And when he does something good someone always finds a way to hate him and damon isn’t evil he’s just broken and Elena was the first person to make him happy
Klaus is the bad guy Damon wished he was. I didn't realize how far of a character he was until the originals came on the at Joseph Morgan showed me how to be the anti-hero properly.
@@dhruvbharija172 at first was absolutely true and I would agree that calling him an anti-hero is a bit far. However in the end he did do the right thing and he helped a lot of people he didn't need to help.
@@lordraiden1 umm he only helped his family Which is not something selfless And even if he did a thing good , it doesn't erase thousands of killings he did Ant- hero is a lot deep Like Anakin from star wars Snape from hp Luke from pjo But klaus was just a villian Who would kill 1000 of people but would save his family
@@dhruvbharija172 that's mostly true but Cami did change him. He saved her friend from shooting himself. And he never killed Davina though he could have and should have at points. In the end he did self sacrifice even if it was just for his family.
damon is so much more than they can see, he is kind, loving, and most of all selfless and you know what he needs new friends if there going to be like that
He was my fav character since the first episode of TVD. He is hurt that is why he acts like he is the bad guy he is hurt by his friends his enemies frenemies and sometimes his own brother .He thinks that acting like he does not care about anything will lower the peoples expectations so he won't dissapoint them make them sad or angry . He is actually more selfless than Stefan . I even argued with my BFF for this
You're right. Damon was willing to make Elena hate him if it meant keeping her safe, like in 2x18. Stefan was weak and kind of a sap. I liked him but he didn't have the guts to protect Elena like she needed to be protected. The correct endgame played out. Now, according to Legacies, Damon and Elena married with kids, lol. Now *that* would make one helluva sitcom. 😂
It's so bad that no one in the show care what damon wants for himself he is the one who always get hurts and still ready to sacrifice himself to save everyone that makes him my favourite
being selfless is done quietly but no one understand it so the one time you put you over others you become the selfish one i had nothing but good intentions with everyone that was positively involved in my life yet i was always the selfish one so one day i just said fuck it i might as well be what they all think damon did the same thing he tried to make himself a selfless monster but deep down he just wanted everyone to be fine and him wantimg elena was labeled as selfish move because no one saw all the unselfishness he had showed so many times
Stefan , jumped up to that's Damon hasnt his own lexi before he met Rose and Bonnie , he was alone and in pain. He just turned off his humanity when he run from vampire prison. He was trying to live being a vampire. He never did a massacre. He always wanted loved by someone.😭
