Those orchestral libraries can become quite the rabbit hole, love it! Orchestral Essentials and Orchestral Essentials II from Project Sam are 2 libraries I picked up recently. Pretty sweet patches and a bunch multis, including some of those eery suspense sounds and epic orchestral hits.

All excellent choices. But I can't believe you did not mention Big Bang Orchestra (VSL) which is a free ensemble orchestral library. Another worthy mention would be Palette Primary Colours by Red Room Audio, which is also free (but requires Kontakt). In the paid libraries section, I could recommend the Metropolis Ark series, Audio Imperia Nucleus, Rhapsody: Orchestral Colors, Spitfire Originals Cinematic Frozen Strings, Orchestral Devices: Battalion (on deep discount at APD). April Showers. Awesome video thank you. I love and use BBC Symphony so much in my music, but I definitely do want to add Spitfire Audio Epic Strings at some point this year. It will go well with my Spitfire Epic Choir, which I use a ton. Of course I also use the SAM project, which is another one that is my favourite along with Arcane. I was surprised you didn't mention the Sine Player freebies, as these are awesome too as well as the free Vienna Synchron Player Orchestra, which you put me onto and I use loads too. So many cool ones here. At some point I will also invest in Sonuscore The Orchestra 3 as I think it sounds amazingly awesome. Thanks again and have a great week.

@@DixonBeats No worries, there are so many. I forget half my VST's when I am looking to create sounds and things and end up using only the newer ones that are fresh in my mind. I will sometimes peruse my VST collection and find little gems I have forgotten about. Then I work on the next album and promptly forget to use them all over again!!!

I have a 8Dio version's CAGE. I don't use it much, though.😅 … As for free solo instruments, the Norrland Sample 🎺"Solo Trumpet" does not require key-switch and can be played freely. What is a little disappointing about the 'Solo Trumpet' is that the GUI is rather plain looking, but it must be said that the Library offers multiple mutes, which are of great value. Also, I think "Carpenter Trombone" is an excellent Kontakt library from VSTBuzz's Free Products. Another orchestra that gets the free treatment is redroom Audio's "PALETTE - PRIMARY COLORS". Though donations are solicited. Sorry for my poor English.😅

hey Dixon,here's my comment to your video,you can make any orchestral library lo-fi,just pass the output thru a tape emulation effect,and if you want more lo-fi,then use speakers vst,with this you can even make your orchestra sound like its in 1920,the orchestra complete is great,nothing to remark there,however,i saw you playing it one fingered,its a chord instrument Dixon,you will hear a big difference when you use chords,my best choir library is form eastwest,with phonetics you can make them sing anything,not just latin words,the best free orchestral library is from red room audio (Dicky) and is called palette primary colors,the arcane blue is a downgraded version of realivox blue from realitone,a female library wich can sing almost everything,with some tweaking,cheers mate

Well there’s different plugins here. But you need to open the plugin / libraries in your DAW FL studio, Ableton something like that. Then connect your midi keyboard to your Daw.

As a hobbyist, Spitfire BSO, SAMS ,VSL Violin runs and Heavyocity strings give me more authenticity than I deserve. I have so much fun with it all, that I find myself writing a full-on orchestral score. Only to be told that it sounds like what the Emmerdale theme might sound like if they jazzed it up. Timpani rolls ...and 808's 😂

It's not in regular Komplete 14, its only in the Collectors edition which is normally £1619.00 but is currently on sale at £809.50.

I tried to install the bbc but it said i allready have it :) guess i do then :D weird stuff. No way for me to get it downloaded 😂 this kontakt player and access and and and.. is total bs. We need max one software that we install so that we can search install and open the libraries. This system is not working and its pushing people away from making music. Everything has become too difficult really. I mean who wants to reinstall everything after the pc gets laggy after a year. You need to install every crap again and find the linraries from differend sites because they are not showing in the access software 😂 if you are even able to get them downloaded from the sites and you need to remember 1000 differend logina for each site 😂

I really can't understand why you make such a big accent on strings and recommend some shitty Spitfire product that can be made free. The only good things they made are Chamber Strings and Studio Strings Professional. As for the orchestras - CineSamples, Cinematic Studio Series and Aaron Venture can be combined into a perfect orchestra
