I’ve brought and returned 6 different cases because they all had that weird smell. I kept the one that smelled the least and did the same as you and aired it out for weeks outside

New subscriber to the channel. I was really skeptical about getting this device. But then I start realizing I’m not able to get to my PS five or a series X as much as I used to be able to due to fatherhood and every day husband duties. This device is truly great for Dad’s like me. I been gaming on my switch OLED a lot more but been itching to get back on the 5 too. Definitely going to go pick this up this weekend!

The ps5 is the ps5 the portal is a travel size ps5. So its fits for my needs.

Nice video! I’m also on the fence about the headphones. They could be so convenient paying in bed next to my girl but is that really worth the price of the portal when there’s a headphone jack? Probably not.

can't you not use it unless you are on the same wifi as the play station? so what would be the point to make travel stuff when you can't travel with it like a switch or such. let me know if I'm wrong

Yeah you’re wrong. I think you may have misheard or was told the wrong information. It doesn’t matter if you’re on the same WiFi or not. You just have to be connected to WiFi. I left my ps5 at home and took my portal with me on a 300+ mile trip and it worked perfectly fine.

@@StaticxJFord did very little research and found this "Does the PlayStation Portal Need a PS5? You definitely need a PS5 to use a PlayStation Portal. More than that, you need them to be on the same Wi-Fi network and in reasonable proximity because of just how the portable system works. That means the PlayStation Portal isn't meant to really be played away from home." This was around December so unless they changed it in these couple months since then, I'm still very confused none the less

@@thypoggers gotcha. But yeah you definitely do need a ps5 to actually operate the portal but you don’t have to be connected on the same WiFi. It basically remote plays your ps5. Don’t mirror whatever your ps5 is doing but you’re controlling it by the portal. If that make sense.
