Just an FYI - The combinations for each of the vaults are the same each time you do the tall tale, so just look at the combinations in the video and replicate them. You can also skip the entire underground section of the tall tale with a well placed sword lunge from the room right after the broken spiral staircase, this lunge will take you right outside the boss room where you have to lower the drawbridge (You will need to do the underground section if you want the journals though)

Worth mentionning that you can lunge aswell from a rock behind and on the right of the statue It's less difficult to get it than the shortcut after the spiral staircase

I can save everyone here a ton of time. Here are all the combos that never change for each vault in no particular order. South side: Look in the book Kraken, Shark, Turtle, Fire North side: Snake, Family Make a key do the southern vaults first put medallions on boat and then move north to second harbor. Park next to ladder. get northern vaults and put on boat. then take medallions up the ladder to coin vault. Sword lunge from rock behind Ancient statue and do skip in trapped portions with sword lunge as well
You have been a god send. I tried many versions for the tall tale after trying to do alone and i kept drowning in the south vault. Yours has made the most sense and just wanna say thank you 😊❤

Dude we played this yesterday with a friend but it was half done from months prior and we didn’t know what to do. Was so funny. We had to position our ship and launch ourselves out the cannon to open the door by the headless giant statue

I did it expecting the journals would be at the end. They despawn at the end. You could have included that in the gameplay. You only stopped at like 2 or 3 journals
The jump cuts around the navigation parts are done very poorly. You can't jump cut to someplace and then say "go southwest" - since you have disestablished where you're going from.
alright so why dont any vids explain that you need to unlock the tale after doing the shroudbreaker, just did shroudbreaker and the tale is still locked and im stuck
I know this sounds stupid but I honestly don’t know. For the “lords of gold” commendation, do we have to sell the skull or leave it in the chamber cause my game got laggy so I was kicked out of the boss battle room and the skull stayed in and I didn’t have it but still got 1 more to it?
Yo, as soon as you defeat Wrath Bone (A.K.A. The Gold Hoarder) and the Pirate Lord has done his speech, you would have done 1 of the 5 times times “returning” the skull. Rare does it this way just for reasons like yours, or if you were to get grieved you still get to advance. The Tall Tale actually finished when you have defeated the Gold Hoarder. Im on a galleon & the first puzzle's got 4 blocks instead of 3 with different combinations. We tried them all and none of them work. Is it possible to do with a 4 man?

My friend dropped the warrior medallion in between 2 rocks and it was so hard to get and we realized we could just do the vault again -_-. BECAUSE OF THE FRIEND WHO LOST IT HE FOUND THAT OUT.

Why not take a treasure chest with you so you can keep all of the medallions together as you go...would save oodles of time I would think, or will this tale allow it?
