I absolutely love this camera. Had mine for over a decade, does everything I need. I sold off my other cameras. I got tired of changing lenses on vacation, carrying all the extra gear, and always searching for the latest and greatest thing. I am not a pro, and this handles everything I shoot

Yes, I'm totally with you on the camera and the subject matter. I've still got my Canon G10 which I bought new years ago. It still works great. Even if I ignore it for a year, I get it out and the battery is still fully charged. I took one of my shots ever with this camera. I'm super attracted to urban decay and things being taken back by nature, and signage, faded worn out signs, painted on brick buildings, wooden signs, metal signs with rust. It's all appealing to me.

I love the thing. I’ve been tempted to look at some of the newer models like the g16, but then I keep coming back to the g10 and wondering if there’s even a point. As for the urban decay, I can’t get enough of it. Thanks for watching 🖖

Thanks for the recommendation mate. Just picked up one of these in amazing condition for 80 Canadian dollars. So pumped. I can’t believe how fun it is to shoot with this camera.

I've got a G15 for my everyday carry, went for it because of the fast lens throughout the range and reasonable ISO performance (and love it), always wanted to give one of the older CCD sensor models a go.

I was inspired to dig out my canon G10 and try to charge it up. It charged up immediately and works fine after 17 years. I ha forgotten how much I liked this camera. Thanks for the video. Subscribed.

My battered old G9 goes out with me everywhere now, since those original G10 videos you made at the beach. I’ve now just started taking street photos and the G9 (12.1MP CCD, f2.8-4.8, 35-210mm equiv.) has given me similarly pleasing results. It’s heavy and chunky but rugged and reliable (apart from the OVF which aims a little above the AF point). Thanks for the inspiration to have a go!
