They share the same name and they are two of the greatest ever to play the game, but Ronaldo Nazario and Cristiano Ronaldo only shared the pitch on one occasion.
The two were on opposite teams during a charity match organised by Luis Figo, a teammate of both Ronaldo's in his glittering career, back in July 2005.
The game was held at the Algarve stadium in Portugal in front of 25,000 fans and helped raised money for Luis Figo's Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

All he did was a couple of easy passes the entire game. On the other hand R9 was incredible, controlling strong passes from behind, stealing balls, good assist-worthy passes, long passes and 2 goals. CR7 is the most overrated dribbler in history. No fluidity, no grace, barely beat a man. Half the time he would do a step over and pass back to the LB (Evra or Marcelo). But the real Ronaldo was a juggernaut, the best stepovers in the history of football, a magical running animation and he could be several players easily.

Cr7 in 2006 world cup dribbled the most dribbles well R9 never been top dribbler in any word cup plus cr7 have the most dribbles in premier league from 2003 to 2009 and the second most dribbles in UCL history.

@@pauliyonas3576 Dribbles completed just means beat a player. For example he played on the RW then, so he goes past the LB by sprinting past him. That doesn’t mean you’re an elite dribbler.

@@SuperMuneera he is world class dribbler in his dribbling prime plus even R9 uses his speed to dribble and cr7 dribbles with Skill moves to. The only dribblers that are better than every one in history are Messi and maradona.
