How do you overcome the feeling of everything wrong in your life being your fault because you're defective or because you didn't make the right choices whereas other people in your exact situation did and now they are better for it.
Bro we all have this “should’ve would’ve could’ve”. But your life is going according to Allah SWT. Read Salah prayer and inshaa Allah you will improve your life. Have good mentors in your life who can help you make good life decisions. No one is perfect in life.
What happens in your life rn is the best scenario that Allah choose for you. If it happens because of your bad decision in life, Allah will give you consequences in hope that you will learn your mistake and repent. And one more, whats destined to be your rizq, will eventually be yours, there is nothing in this world including you that can deflect it from you. And what's not your rizq, will not come to you no matter how hard you pursue it. And in every condition, there are always opportunities to perform sabr (patient) and shukr (gratefulness). And both is a good thing in front of Allah, no matter which one youre tested with P.s. practicing all of this is so hard, even Im struggling with this. But bro Im saying this in hope that it can ease your heart a little bit, because you're not in control of the outcome, Allah is. And He want you to be better and close to Him. Hey brother, salamu alaikum. I totally get where you’re coming from. As a previous commenter had said, we all experience this and it’s also easier said than done to get out of this mindset of comparing yourself to others. However, things can and will change! The beauty of this life is that until we take our last breath and meet Allah SWT on Judgment Day, you can always simply choose to do better; to make better choices… I know it’s kind of cliche but every day is a new day; every hour is a new hour; every minute is a new minute. Just simply decide to do better and do it! And eventually, you will see your life turning around. Also, comparing yourself to others is extremely demotivating because we all have different timings for things. And we don’t know what we don’t know. We don’t know how things are going to end. Aside from Allah SWT, ofc. The success you’re seeing from your peers right now may be temporary. What you see of their successes might also not be the full story either. Maybe they sacrificed their social lives to get there and therefore are rather lonely; maybe they’re stressed out in their jobs, etc. Don’t compare their highlight reel to your own life because that just isn’t fair… also, there isn’t a single person in this life who doesn’t have problems; that’s just part of the test we have in this life

Sorry to hear that. I'll never understand why people look down on dark skinned people. You're probably desi , the colourism there is insane. You'll have to learn to love yourself, there's no other way. I personally never looked at a dark skinned person and thought they're unattractive. Do not let the words of society make you feel bad about yourself. Its very backward thinking. Allah doesn't look at your looks, wealth, or grades. Allah only judges us according to our deeds. :]
