Great take. I thought Fury would become this generation's Ali or Lennox too, but he just stopped trying after Wilder 2. And it wasn't because of mental health the Klitschko rematch didn't happen, but he got caught with PEDs, had a ban and then he started doing all the other stuff. The boxing media just deleted most things about that. Usyk 100% beats him.

If he hadn't lost the plot after beating Klitschko and kept on going, maintained his fitness and took on allcomers he probably wouldve but he blew essentially the best years he wouldve had as a fighter physically sat on his arse boozing and coking. Even if he's kept working after Wilder 2 and maintained that he wouldve had a good chance. But he's had one foot out of boxing for ages and money has been his only goal. He's not the greatest of anything, he's just a good boxer, a mention when youre talking about real greats of today like Usyk, Crawford Canelo, Bivol etc

That's still one of the weirdest technicality things too. Tyson Fury was caught for PEDS by one belt (WBA?) BEFORE the Wlad bout and yet, oddly the fight carried on with that belt still fully available and won by Fury who does indeed hold it up after the bout. Then, AFTER that they strip him of the belt for the previous pre-fight PEDS thing. Then he loses the others for not doing the rematch but then is banned from boxing (all orgs) for testing positive for Cocaine use. It's all confusing.

Yes, 2nd fight fury won fair and square, but fury did try and get out of the 3rd fight because he won the 2nd fight, only took the 3rd fight because whilder took him to court and was ordered to fight. Furys old style was his best chance of beating Usyk but he can't fight like that anymore due to his poor lifestyle catching up on him. His legs and reflexes started to go 2 years ago and has become a slow flat footed fighter who relies on his sheer size to wear his opponents down in the clinch, which he couldn't do against Ngannou. His newer style under Sugar Hill was tailor made to beat Wilder but not Usyk.

From the 3rd round on, I was literally waiting for Frances to drop Tyson and put his lights out. In fact I was surpised that he didn't because it really felt like it was coming, any time from round 3 onwards. And the only reason that he didn't imo was because he decided to save his gas for the later rounds. I firmly believe had he just gone for it, he'd have taken Tyson out before the later rounds anyway. And from what I heard Frances say after the fight, he thinks exactly the same way. If they have a rematch, Frances wont be saving gas for later rounds, he'll just go for it. And I recon he'll put Tyson in la la land before the end of round 6. Also, nobodies really mentioned the way Frances effortlessly not only dealt with Tysons clinch tactics, but was managing to pile upper cuts on Tysons chin, like it was Christmas morning. How many actual boxers can do that? The clinch is supposed to be a safe heaven when in trouble. The only thing you will get clinching Francis is a barrage of vicious upper cuts. But there wont be a rematch anyway, because Tyson wont want one, because he will also know all of this too.

The thing is Ungannou had no reason to fear him he was expected to lose. So he came in not caring for the feints the herky jerky and basically said cmon then! Who else has done that apart from Wilder (to a degree). This was one of the reasons Mike Tyson was so good early, he went for people! Fuck the respect, prove the respect rather than listening to a boxing journalist/reputation, TRY THEM, go for it and don't be afraid of loosing because with too much respect you will lose eitherway!

If I am honest I am a fury fan! I agree with what he is saying in this video but I think this hole video would’ve been different if Tyson didn’t insult him on that podcast/ interview! At the end of the day Francis did really well against fury and fury wasn’t the best version of him self but Francis does hold the hardest punch ever known to man so that means that guy would drop most people walking on this planet if not everyone walking on this planet 😂 this video does come across like he is a bit salty towards fury but I am sure that if they rematch n if fury absolutely smashes Francis he won’t be doing a video like this!

I think Fury has definitely took his foot off the pedal and sat back in his comfort zone. He got away with it in Wilder 3 with heart, same with Whyte, vs Chisora but against N'Gannou he's took it even easier and got a huge shock. Seemed like he might have won on points but he definitely didn't win title of baddest man on the planet.

Note that Muhammad Ali was robbed of the prime years of his career (when he was 25 to 28) because he would not be drafted for the Vietnam war. He fought everyone out there and was a hero to Mike Tyson, another boxer who is head and shoulders ahead of Fury. Add in Lewis, Foreman and the Klitschko brothers in their prime and you'll find that the queue is getting longer. Larry Holmes had the misfortune to follow on after the greats but he must also be in front.

I would’ve let Fury off for not rematching Klitchko due to his mental health breakdown if he had stayed on the trajectory he was on during his comeback series against Wilder. Even if he had lost after Wilder, if he’d at least gone on to try himself against the best I would’ve said fair play, what an inspirational man. Coming back from the edge of suicide, where he was being such a wanker that everyone hated him, he really seemed to humble himself, and the work he did to blitz off however many kg that was and get in there and win the title - that was amazing. But after the 2nd Wilder fight, he progressively started to behave more and more like a wanker again every month whilst also not taking the fights he needed to take, until far from being the new more humble but brilliant man, he was a loud mouth obnoxious arsehole ducker. What a sad fall from grace, after such a magnificent rise from a previous fall. Ngannou is the real humble warrior that Fury looked like he might be for that one year or so…

Fury was never anything but an average "boxer", who gets away with being very tall, heavy, brilliant stamina, a good chin, who can clinch or push opponents away after bunching them with an open hand or open palm, leaning and squashing opponents and any other of his bag full of semi-legal tricks, like elbows, he usually gets away with. The real one of the greatest Ali underestimated Cooper who was one of the then top fighters, and when he realised his mistake adjusted immediately and beat him, and gave him a return fight to poor Cooper's detriment. The "greatest of all times heavyweight" Fury could not even adjust to an amateur and "novice" to boxing Ngannou and got a hiding and was dropped by a newcomer and first time fighter in a boxing ring. How brilliant! And I guess the fans still don't see and recognise his absolute limitations?? I for one don't undersrand why and I have been in the boxing game for over 10 years. I guess I must be stupid and understand nothing about boxing. Having spent time in Buenos Aires Luna Park stadion and observed Calos Monzon, Victor Galindez in training and sparring and Calrlos Gimenez in Bahia Blanca, having driven Victor Galindez to his Ellis Park, Johannesburg, world title fight with Richie Kates, having sparred with Jimmy Richards at the Tony Karam gym in Pretoria and having co-trained Bertie Potchiter, Nessie Roux and Baby-Jake Madlala and having had 27 fights myself I guess I might know and have learned a little bit about boxing. That is why I think I can say that as far as boxing goes, Fury is just a little bit above average. Good luck with fighting Usyk if that fight ever happens, which I doubt. Maybe that is why Usyk just laughs at Fury, which unsettles him no end.

Some excellent points made there, A boxers overall legacy also includes how they handle themselves both in and out of the ring too, the one claim I'm tired of hearing about is this lineal champion stuff, It will be just like Fury to come out and knock Usyk out with a body shot in the first round, videos like this and the overall stick he's getting will either ensure you see the very best Tyson Fury we've ever seen in the next fight or the very worst, let's hope it's the former of those outcomes because that sets up some amazing fights for UK fight fans.

I mean.. what really could silent every doubters, as unspectacular as it may be, is the fact that he technically really didn't lose this fight against Ngannou. Yeah in the eye of the general public he got the worst of that night but actually scoring the fight by the rules he still won. And that could be the point of split opinions for his whole legacy: Not "beating" everyone but never being beaten. There is a high likelihood that he will retire with his 0. Because of his boxing IQ and reach and most importantly his chin. Let me tell you no one would have taken either shots from Wilder or Ngannou. And he scraped both fights. I agree that Joshua is now a hotter fight than ever, definitely has to happen in his career. Tyson is not getting younger but I still believe he can become his best version again at least a few times. If he beats Joshua, Usyk and Ngannou he has a case for goat.
