Love what you said about letting the Scriptures interpret the Scriptures and staying away from study Bibles. I also appreciate that you pointed out the problem with the references that put in the errors of the critical text. Thank you!
I love the Open Bible. It's like a hybrid cross between a reference Bible and a study Bible, and it's still carry-able with an abundance of resources but without the heft. And the topical index is worth the price of admission.
I bought my mom and dad both one of these bibles for Christmas last year and they absolutely love it. I do wish the font was bigger but it's a great bible. There are alot of pastors in our area that uses this as their main bible. Thanks for sharing a great review of a great bible.
I ended up being very disappointed in this revamp. Fonts too small, and I think they took was was special and unique about it and just really messed it up. Glad I have the old editions of it.
Also, I distrust all study Bibles and agree with you to be very careful. I've read so many nonsense notes that are clearly written with huge biases. Some are so bad, it's apparent whoever wrote it doesn't believe.
