The shotguns were perfect around two seasons ago, as somebody who used them a lot. They were incredibly balanced, but since siege players weren't used to balanced shotguns, they demanded they get changed again. They are all so inconsistent now, and they were never "better" than any of the other weapons, but when they got buffed, nobody was used to them, so that's what they treated them like.

unfortunatly they're pretty much all C-D tier with some at A tier at best bc Ubi can't make good shotguns. Same story with XDefiant.

As a shotgun not enjoyer, I thought cav and ela shotgun would be up higher on the list, and i thought the british shotgun would reign supreme or something, still a great video though :)

Oh my god, I've always kept away from certain shotguns because they had such low damage, but I never thought the spread of the bullets changed. This video was super helpful for me discovering better shotguns than the British Shotgun.

One thing to add its that supernova has "Changeable" shot, when i mean by this is that from hip you can make well destruction, just for entering soft breaches, enemies to close range and barricades, but aiming it concentrate the shots, to making its pattern more closer, i noticed it, and some shotguns "Doesn´t have" this "changeable" function... maybe im bad or good, but it a good point im pointing

I find the German shotgun fairly consistent. Personally I'd have ranked it a bit higher, as I find the fast rechamber speed worth the slightly less consistent damage. Love the vid ❤

One other factor you should add is utility, like making rotations and peaking holes. How efficient is the shotgun at setting up sight or making a rotation hole to get out of a gun fight?

yeah the m870 used to be my favorite shotgun but now i use supernova or the french shotgun

I personally would have put the SPAS-15 in A-tier, it oneshots at decent ranges, plus I feel like it's Cav's stronger primary and for Thunderbird it's a solid option especially since you have the Bearing 9 to go with it.

I feel like the ITA12L is super inconsistent there have been 2 many times for me where it’s done an embarrassing amount of damage I personally feel it should be d tier I’d happily take any of the c tier shotguns over that one but other than that great video and tier list

I agree 100% with this list. I tested all shotguns when new blood launched hoping they would give the ads spread benefit of the echo/Amaru shotgun, but unfortunately not. Since the laser change from hip fire to ads time, shotgun in siege are more inconsistent than basically any other fps that I played. The spread is too randomized and with no laser to make then a little bit better, led me to instances that I shot all 7 rounds of the spas15 on a finka at 5/6m and still not downed her. They need to add a foregrip that increases hipfire and spread consistency but slow your aim walking speed, so you can get better shotguns at range at the cost of slow ads strafe, to make it balanced (at least imo)

Where's the ACS-12 and the TCSG12? I know they work more like DMR's than Shotguns but they're still Shotguns at the end of the day. Or are you making a DMR video with these two instead?

Id have to dissagre on the saussage, my mouse has a macro were it fires really fast when not aimed down sight, and i pair it with the silenced pmm pistol "less damage but more bullets" I use it for stealth roamer control and works really well

Not gonna lie im a hard shotgun main and the laser pointer change has hit me emotionally. Walking around at max speed (not ads speed) and hipfire killing is something i miss

Honestly surprised that the M870 isn't higher up I still use it and it's a fucking monster. Crazy damage, good spread, good fire rate, and sleek design.

they should just add an extended barrel to all shotguns with a spread reduction of 35% and a fire rate reduction of 25%

Ela’s shotgun was fucking insane before the nerfs amazing weapon it was they should have kept it…. It made ela a solid pick
