Apologies to anyone who's viewing this on a small screen. There's plenty of voice acting, but a lot of the text may be hard to read on mobile devices. It's a very cool little game though with some clever ideas so I really wanted to try and showcase it. :)
@@ronin4877 There are so many indie games I love so it's really hard to choose a top ten. I think these would be in contention though: Inscryption Krimson The Midnight Scenes Games (probably A Safe Place) The ...Of The Killer Games (All of them!) The Night Is Grey The Invincible Incision Mike Klubnika's Games South Scrimshaw Stasis: Bone Totem Viewfinder FAITH Yames' Games Pod Selaco Limbo (first indie game I loved) Buddytale Woodworm and probably a lot more I'm forgetting about. Also, I'm pretty certain Iron Meat, Big Boy Boxing, Divine Frequency, Lorn's Lure and The Drifter will be up there when they release too! :)
@@leoneldoleschal1194 Oh that's great! Thanks for the heads-up. I was worried how it would look on smaller screens. I usually try to zoom in to smaller text when I edit the videos, but it wasn't really possible here due to the desktop interface.
@@AlphaBetaGamer it is okey it still very enjoyable and awesome . I remember you have the same issues with solace dreams mod so is okey . Love your content!!
There's a surprising lack of games that cover government investigation bureaus, while there's tons of TV drama series where that's the whole concept, let alone the FDI. This was done meticulously well. Like you're a real part of the badass teams in one of those shows, instead of just observing the characters
Absolutely obsessed with how the 3d has that slightly uncanny feel to it in comparison to the hyper realistic portraits. Its very phoenix wright and i love it
The sound design on this game is exceptional, 10/10 voice acting and lots of little flourishes that even AAA-devs would not consider I think the plot doesn't stick the landing though, the problem with conspiracy stories is that its far too easy to see the twists coming when you have a small cast. There's only one way this can go, which makes the ending feel contrived.
Haha, I hadn't noticed it was set in the 90's! I guess it's the kinda fictional tech that the X-Files and the CSI TV shows have been saying exist for decades!
Maybe this is one of those conspiracy settings where everything after the semiconductor revolution was reverse-engineered alien tech or something, trickled out over time so it seemed plausible, and these Men In Black got all the good (seemingly almost modern?) stuff first? EDIT: Or the weird prologue bit is years before the actual game, maybe. A look into the backstory of our villain, perhaps? EDIT2: Hmm, nope, seems to be the early 90s still.
🚨Anchronism alert!🚨 The "hacked" sequence shows a linux machine booting. While technically Linux did exist in 1992, we didn't have xpp_usb for the reason that...USB hadn't been invented! We were using good old RS232 and other serial standards :)
@@Onomatopeizator Exactly . I'm surprised some computer nerds don't understand that all cutting edge tech goes through DARPA / MI / ECT , FIRST. Then they release it when it's obsolete .
Hmm... I've had an eye on this game for a few days now and it's great that you covered it. I'm about 16 minutes in and I'm now more convinced to get it and try it out myself.
it took me a bit to notice they were saying FDI instead of FBI lol also I really like the small touch of occasionally seeing characters mistype, backspacing, and retyping things it kinda reminds me of that idea that everybody types differently and how typing patterns are kinda like fingerprints and can be used to track people
Kind of lame to cliffhanger the game when it couldve easily resolved itself right then and there. Also killing off the mind wiped, interesting character to segue to the generic hacker as the next protagonist is a boring choice. Reminds me of Burial at Sea in the worst way.
