Honestly, moving. Idk why but this is probably one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard. The casualness just tops it off. Exactly what I want metal to be
Reminds me of karmanjakah or bird problems or some prog band. I’ve definitely heard some major bendy THALL riffs before very similar to this somewhere.
@@idiot_city5444 I feel dumb for saying this since they're so old and I should know better - but thank you for showing me Stroot Neer! This året utan sommar EP is fucking dope!
@@Zainmhz ah damn dude it's a beautiful game and track for sure, but fair enough man. I really do like what you did here tho. I expected it to be a little more silly like a joke anti-thall song, but what you ended up with is genuinely very cool.
Sounds awesome. Thall and djent are so diversive as genres, that trying to be "anti" -them still kinda sounds like it. But who fucking cares, this shit is really really good. I do get bits of post rock offerings like Mogwai or GSYBE in some of the tone and riffs, beautiful
Thanks! And yeah, I didn’t mean to write this as literal “anti” (that would be pop i guess lol). Just tried to do the opposite, like play it on higher tuning and bring upbeat vibes unlike thall that is usually dark, creepy sounding
this is like the 2020s version of everyone trying to be Dream Theater and Epica now everyone is trying to be Animals as Leaders and Polyphia. Just make good music with good song writing
Production quality over actual quality, we live in a garbage time period, there so much VST and plugin going on in this it sounds like AI. Cool playing concepts, but do it without a DAW and a ton of processing.
A mix of post rock, maybe some shoegaze, a bit of pop punk? but with djenty low tuned sound. It's probably the best djenty/thall-ish thing I have heard in years. Is actually musical and stands out instead of being just a generic cacophony that yeah these were interesting 10 years ago but that was a dead end that should have ended back then instead of becoming the majority of what young guitarists want to do nowadays (besides polyphia and similar).
This is great. I'm usually not a fan of this style, it always come across as just a bunch of button mashing and the guitar equivalent of LọL s0 rÄnDøM ^_^ but this is a good balance of technical and tasteful without being a note salad. Well done 👏
Call this ," hey y'all. (At the mall with my friends, and we're heading to the food court. Jesse is working at the cinnamon bun stand. Let's go say hi.)"
as a drummer Im curious how you write these drum parts. are you writing them in a midi editor? I can't wrap my head around knowing how to write drums but not play them, its impressive since you need a good understanding of drums to write something like this
i am editing it on midi editor while air-drumming it lol. i do have an e-kit and i was a mediocre drummer back then so i know more or less how to write drum parts that are not impossible to play. i can't actually play this song tho
