That ‘no cleanser in the morning’ I do not recommend for oily skin Because the skin care you did in the night have served it’s purpose throughout your sleep and the morning it is good to wash off the remainder of last night and start your face afresh again because whatever was left over from the night will do little or nothing more for you over the day so no true point
I have oily skin! And last year, I decided to no longer cleanse my face and just use water in the mornings. But you're right, I was still dealing with the oils still left on my face. So now I just use micellar water to take the oil and away and my skin has never loved me more
Azelic acid does work very well, especially for rosacea and/or redness but it is extremely drying to my skin. Therefore, I only use at night 2 to 3x a wk. Great vid btw, very informative.
Thank you for a very, clear, precise, well spoke, informative video. Made it very clear to me to get into my new products............I have 2 containers, ( morning and night), to make it easier for me. Keep them coming please.🤗☺
When I got diagnosed with HSV 2 it was hell for me, had the worst days, Mental breakdown, crying not eating or sleeping either. I was restless looking for alternatives to get rid of this virus in my system. not until I stumbled upon a video on RU-vid about Dr. Aloha’s Herbal Medication and how effective they are. I reached out to him through his email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com and followed the instructions given on how to use the Herbal Medication, To my greatest surprise, it worked perfectly and today makes it a month and two weeks of testing Negative to HSV 2 after making use of his Organic Herbal Medication. It’s so amazing regaining my health back to normal and ridding my body of Herpes. Thank you so much 🙏 You can as well Contact Dr. Aloha through his email: Alohaherbalhome@gmail.com or WhatsApp +1(202)871-3222
I actually use vitamin c and niacinamide in the am in conjunction with spf and have noticed a significant difference in my skin. I usually have a very reactive skin but surprisingly did not have any problems. Now that I'm in my late 30s it really helped with fading away lines that I started noticing. Love The Ordinary!
You have such clear skin I’m jealous😍😭 I’m definitely going to look into this because I didn’t know about the cleanser thing. I always wash my face in the morning but I break out so much and my face has been drying out so quickly🤦🏻♀️so I think I need to change my skincare routine. And start using moisturizer
So I’m totally new to this whole skincare routine stuff and I found this video actually very helpful, I love how you actually explained everything. My only problem is I went to go buy the products you listed and was shocked at how much the drunken elephant products are!😳😳😳 How long do these products actually last you? Is there a more reasonably priced product you can recommend?
They honestly last a long time because you usually only use 1-2 drops of each product so like around a year they usually last me! It’s worth it in my opinion because they work
Thank you for the detailed routine!! I love the Ordinary and this video helps which ones to apply together (for a beginner like me!). I do have a question on the night routine, in the video it was your retinoid night, how does the acid night routine look?
+Nicole Vestermark Thank you for watching! Glad you found the video helpful. As far as acids, it just really depends on the product that you’re using. Exfoliating acids can be found in toners, serums, as a mask so based on that you would apply your skincare accordingly. But I wouldn’t use any products with acids the same night you would use a retinol
I’ve been told it’s better to spray a mist of water on your face because the HA draws water from the environment and you don’t want it to draw water from your skin if you’re in a dry area.
What does the glycolic acid do? Also is it too high of a strength that it will hurt on the face to use once daily or every other day? New subscriber as well!!!!
Glycolic acid is an AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid), it is the strongest out of all AHA’s. It chemically exfoliates your skin, getting rid of all the dead skin cells. The ordinary’s has 7% glycolic acid which is a pretty high concentration so if you have sensitive skin it might sting/burn. I would recommend to use 3x max a week if you’re just starting out or are using a retinol. Also always use in the PM, as it leaves your face extremely sensitive to the sun. If you want a more gentle chemical exfoliation try the ordinary’s lactic acid 5% or 10%. Hope this helped! I have actually bought this 3 weeks ago and I have no complaints, but you do have to be careful with it! Ps. I’m not a specialist
@@Hellacrazzzy18125 hey...yeah you should to keep your skin hydrated throughout the night, it also calms down any stinging that you might feel after using it
Can we use hyaluronic acid and niacinamide together? Please help i wanted to start a morning and evening routine but i don't want to use to many products at the same time i have little acne scars tan and dehydrated skin please recommend some products

hi this was so helpful! i have two questions! what step in your skincare routine do you use the peeling mask? and i notice you have the same facial steamer as me! what step in your skincare routine would you use this? (i just want to make sure i'm doing everything in the right order lol. have a good day!
You can use this : Cleanser Peeling mask (Don't use serums/treatments after the peeling mask) MOISTURISER!!!***** Spf (If you're doing this in daytime) Hope this helps hehe
I only use the mask once a week. Treat it like you would any other mask that you apply then wash off. Then apply your skincare after. And you can use the facial steamer after you wash your face and before applying your skincare. It'll open up your pores and allow your skincare products to work more effectively!
I have one comment. When you put 3 drops of product you do not spread it on your hands like you did. You put one drop on finger and put it on your face and do same with second and third drop. On your face you spread it BUT NOT ON THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS. All people who do vlogs do this same mistake.
Ive been having problem with black heads and white heads since I was a teenager, now Im 27 and still dont know what product to use. I have it in the nose area. Can you recommend something? Im frm the Philippines
I have the same problems! I’d recommend CeraVe SA cleanser and CeraVe Sa Moisturizer- SA AKA Salicylic Acid is brilliant for acne prone skin, blackheads and white heads and has cleared a lot of mine up. From The Ordinary I recommend Niacinamide + Zinc which reduces sebum which clogs pores and can lead to breakouts. Hope this helps!
Its just because you are using different products.. -- you would not know if its effective or not.. I have tried the Hyaluronic serum but no effect at all.. its just like your putting an olive oil to your face..
I ordered the Hyaluronic acid and niacinamide products. Every time I use them, my face starts peeling! & I have no idea why! Do you have any idea as to why that happens? ❤️
Mahnaz Hussain Hey! Your face isn’t peeling. It’s the products building up on your face. You’re using too much, I had the same issue. Check out this video about it...ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l_C7HtO826A.html
I had the same issue it was so annoying! I found that I can’t put any products on top of the niacinamide so I use that at night. After cleansing (and doing whatever mask my face needs that night) I drop 3-5 drops of it in my palm and just barely work it in my hands, just to spread it around really. Then I pat it into my skin where I need it and sometimes if the product dries in my hand and I’ve lost some of it I’ll do another drop or two with the same method. The hyaluronic acid I recommend having some moisture on your face (probably after cleansing so it’s damp or just use a toner or face spray) then drop 4-5 drops in your hand and patting it into your skin. Best tip to get it absorbed quickly is to pat my face really quickly with my fingertips until I don’t feel sticky anymore. Another tip I found is to not use any product that contains oil or has an oily feel directly after using the hyaluronic acid. Put on a fast absorbing (usually water based) serum first and then follow up with your oily-er products. Hope that essay helps lol
Hylaronic Acid is bad for your skin! Stop using it - big marketing scam. Google - Oumere and read their latest blog. Vit C for skin is meant to be harmful too. Hope that helps

You should still double cleanse in the evening as you had applied sunscreen in the morning❤️ sometimes a water based Cleanser do not remove the sunscreen completely, Which may lead to breakout.
Htay Cho for second cleanser I recommend cerave foaming cleanser. Just changed my skin. But that is for oily skin. If you have dry skin I would recommend getting cerave hydrating cleanser
Physical sunscreens wash easily with just water, so just one cleanser is more than enough to clean them. For Chemical sunscreens you should always double cleanse.
For anyone who needs encouragement: Romans 8:18 “The pain you’ve been feeling can’t compare to the joy that is coming!” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Whatever is going on right now, have faith, your situation will get better. :) Jesus bless anyone reading this and have an amazing day!!🥰✨💖
Hello , I'm Aum from Thailand . I'm sell the ordinary on facebook , instagram and twitter platform . Can I use your video or your picture, please for review to my customer and give the good thing to them I will put the credit to you . Thank you very much , ขอบคุณค่ะ
Thank you for your great demo/explanation. IMHO I would be sceptical about using too many products in one sitting for fear of reducing/cancelling out the effectiveness of the products. Personally, I would use different products on alternate days and no more than 2-3 at a time but I fully appreciate that in this video you are addressing the issue of how to 'layer' the different products.
I tried her tips from multiple videos and ended up in breakouts. Do your own research guys, every skin is different and these people probably make money sponsoring them.
The Ordinary has amazing products. I would make sure you read their site or google for product interactions. Everything can't be mixed together. Also, if they tell you do a patch test, do a patch test. Some of these products also purge the face which may look like a break out, but the skin is getting rid of all the nasty stuff within itself which is good.
What I recommend is applying the serum on your face and spreading with fingertips, then other products like eye cream and moisturizer, apply with finger taps not face rubbing so that it blends well to the skin and not move the serum around. Also before applying the next product, wait for the first product to set and absorb into the skin.
Just a tip from my dermatologist and also I saw a video on RU-vid from a US based dermatologist, that serums shouldn't be put in your hands. It should be directly applied to your face because you are only wasting the product. Which is a common misconception when doing skincare. People think that it should be activated with your hands. You're only making most of the products be absorbed by your hands instead of your face. Try to search for serum mistakes. :)
It is recommended to wash your face in the morning for various reasons. One, you do want to be removing your nighttime creams and serums that you used the night before. Especially before putting on more in the morning. Two, you want to prime your skin by cleansing it for your morning skincare routine. And three, bacteria can accumulate throughout the night. So it is not recommended to just rinse your face with water to keep the benefits of what you put on the night before. You got the benefits from it during the night when you were sleeping. 😊
@@eloisepallas2693 There's certainly no law against using vitamin C products in the evening, but you may get the most benefit from using them in the morning. “In general vitamin C products should be applied in the morning before heading out for the day, when UV radiation is at its highest,” Dr. Hogan says.
Sorry we need eye cream it has specific ingredients for the eye area it is very very fine no oil to a vs there don't rewrite the book of skin care without the right information we all need eye cream i am a very experienced beauty therapist
okay people i need help. i’ve never tried any of these products so i really don’t know how to act here lol. so last year i had acne and it cleared up about 6 months ago. now i’m left with some really subtle scars and hyperpigmentation, some red spots... you know, what you would expect from acne. for this past year i was using products prescribed by my dermatologist but she told me that once i’d run out of them, i would have to start using a skin care routine (these products i was using were from the drug store so they were “medical” products). now it is time for me to start building a skin care routine but i have no idea what do to or where to start. my concerns are: -acne scars -red spots -hyperpigmentation -i have oily and dry combined skin (oily on the t zone) -not necessarily sensitive skin but still i don’t want to damage my skin even more lmao -during winter my skin gets really really dry so i need something really moisturizing. i think that’s all. please someone help me i have no clue what i’m doing here and i currently have nothing to put on my skin ✌🏻
I agree! I never use this many products. But people always ask what order skincare goes so I wanted to show that in case they use any of these products. But yes I usually apply a vitamin c, moisturizer, sunscreen and call it a day!
