Holy cow- The fact that you put this much work into a video that isn’t even sponsored by the ordinary is crazy. Im so glad I found your channel! ( I don’t mind sponsored content AT ALL- of course but it’s nice to see something so exhaustive on one brand and know that it’s totally not influenced by anything)

If you think she isn't getting paid by The Ordinary, think again! These creators get paid lots of more money! By saying its not a sponsored video, think about it if it was sponsored and the person was selling it to you like how she is informing you of these products (overly excited, like she's on meth and the ordinary is her Meth) you would think this person is trying to pull a fast one on me but since she says it's not sponsored you think she just LOVESSS these products
@abby7038
@abby7038 Год назад
@@Nehemiahsaved I don’t think sponsored videos are always someone pulling a fast one- There are a lot of influencers out there- I don’t think they are all the same. I hope she’s making a ton of money. I’ve been watching her for forever and It looks like she puts a lot of effort into her work.

I’m officially a skin nerd!!! I have a question, I’ve recently incorporated the 23% vit c with 2% Ha in to my routine. However, there’s mixed messages on when it should be used in your routine due to it being non-water and non-oil. I’ve read it should be used first as it has a low PH and I’ve also read it should be used after serums including hyaluronic acid as this product doesn’t let other products penetrate it once applied. Just wanted to hear your thoughts! This is my routine in order - HA Serum, Vit E, Vit C , Vit E moisturiser. Thank youuuu!❤️

Cassandra I appreciate the research and work you put on this video. With that said it would be amazing if at some point you'd be able to do a similar video but with non-ordinary products but instead with the most common actives and skin care products out there. For example one of my biggest questions which I havent found a clear answer on, how long should I wait to apply vitamin C if I had used a benzoyl peroxide wash prior? What are the waiting windows between applying two active ingredients that dont get along? Relationship between Active wash formulations and leave- in formulations together etc. And things of that sort would be helpful for a lot of us who just dont know much about the chemistry of the common skin care ingredients. Again thanks for all you do!

Hey Cassandra, firstly thank you so so much for making this video! It has been so informative and helpful and I so appreciate it! After an online consultation with a representative from The Ordinary to figure out what products would target my concerns of anti ageing, redness, dullness, sensitivity, oily t zone, breakouts and signs of fatigue, they recommended the following products for me: Marine Hyaluronics Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Moisturiser Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG Marine Hyaluronics Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% They also specified I could incorporate Buffet into my routine as I'd heard great things about it and really wanted to try it. I inquired about squalene also but the representative said they they felt the 100% Cold Pressed Rose Hip Oil would probably be more appropriate for me. My question is whether I could use a Squalene cleanser at the beginning of my routine? I'm kind of having trouble figuring out which products are my cleanser, which are my toner, and which are my moisturiser in the general skin care regime and whether I'm missing a product that is a toner or a cleanser (if that makes any sense?) I've never worked with acids before and such and am new to The Ordinary so would be so grateful for your feedback on these recommendations and in regards to my question xoxo

I'm totally confused now! I think that I need a science degree to even choose an Ordinary product. I thought I'd give The Ordinary a try, but after watching your video, I truly don't think I'm brave enough to try them - too many products and too many that do and don't "play nice" with others. I didn't realise there were sooo many different products out there! I've been using Retin-A prescription cream, then Hyaluronic acid serum on damp skin, then after waiting for the hyaluronic acid serum to be absorbed, Collagen serum, and then Vitamin C serum ... to end with a cream moisturiser. The only difference between my morning & nighttime routine is to leave out the Retin-A in the morning. I've just been using the Piping Rock brands. This is about as complex as my baby boomer generation uses, and I'm probably in the minority that even uses this level of skincare. Most women in my generation didn't grow up with all of these products. If we had acne in our teens, then we'd try various products, but once we were wearing make-up, if we were clued up, then we'd use just a basic Ponds Oil of Ulan cold cream to remove it and that was it. However, we're now aware that we need to add sunscreen into the mix as we didn't know about damage from the sun. My generation of Australian was pretty well raised to worship the sun and we spent all of our weekends at the beach. The only thing we used was zinc cream on our shoulders & on our noses but we weren't given any sympathy if we spent too long in the sun and came home with bad sunburn that led to peeling. We all tried to get a tan, and I don't mean one out of a bottle which is probably why so many in my generation have had melanomas. However, there wasn't a big hole in the Ozone layer that there is now. I was just fortunate not to like lying out in the sun getting all hot & sticky. It would have been good if you had said what each product did, then why you'd use them, and which stage of the routine. I'm 69 and people usually think that I'm early to mid-'50s... and that's with the routine that I've stated above. I had no idea there were so many products. Surely we all have the same skin, just some with oily, dry, or combination skin. Why is it necessary to have so many products??

Help, Cassandra! I'm a skincare noob! When you say to not mix certain products together, do you mean not putting them on your skin at the same time (like rubbing them in simultaneously), or literally put them on at different times of day or different days entirely? Hi! I just started using AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%. Just wanna ask if I can also use the Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 at the same time? And if it’s okay even if I have oily skin

New to skincare this is amazing!! I have oily acne prone skin w hyperpigmentation. I use cetaphil cleanser + ordinary niacinamide + ordinary moisturizing HA and i just added ordinary's salicyclic acid and the eye caffeine serum. Is that right- should I have gotten glycolic acid or arbutrin instead? So many options😭

Idk if anyone will see this but I have a question. When she says you can’t mix two products, does she mean that you should layer one after the other or you can’t use those two products in the same routine at all?? For example, if on, say, a Friday I used the aha bha peeling solution, would I be able to use another acid on Saturday or Sunday? Or should I not use any conflicting acids in my routine at all??
