Sorry for my bad english, but I disagree. From my point of view, that would be like paying a few thousands in order to gain useful metres instead of paying docens of thousands in order to gain real metres. It would be a good inversion, specially if you live in an expensive city, like Barcelona o Madrid.

If you live in New York City like I do an apartment of 500 sq ft is still like 500k so I could see people using this. Or if you’re getting a tiny house

If I remember correctly this unit retails for over $20K. The price point for this thing isn't right. Regardless the size of your room, this huge moving block eats up open space and blocks the view. It's useless for people with family (who presumably live in large space) and a pain in the ass for singles who live in smaller space, move often and dont want this monster to tag along all over the world/country. Resale value is down at the bottom. I don't think there is a secondary market for this where you can sell a pre-owned for more than $6000. For people who don't care about $20K expense, they don't need this! And they will put money to invest, to purchase assets, or something adding value like education. This is an ill considered expense. Not saying this is a bad idea or bad invention. It should be in the market section comparable to Ikea.

If you're in a rental, no reason. But if you're buying a 350 square foot studio, then this would be gold, even if it costs $15-$20K. If you have the money to purchase a 500+ square foot home, believe me, unless you're in a transitional neighborhood or the last owner was a dunce, you'll be paying a heck of a lot more.

As the time Góes by this will Be affordable for everyone. They need more consumers to expand their bisiness.

They mention this at the 1:23 mark - it goes into a mode that allows you to move the components manually; and when power is restored, it resets itself.

All Ori products automatically enter manual mode when they lose power. You can easily move it by pushing or pulling the system to where you need it. It's just not as much fun as pressing a button :)

We do have a showroom in Brooklyn, however it is not open to the public at this time.
