For Cordelius, I think he is named after the “Cordyceps” fungus. Cordyceps is a fungus that literally turns small insects into zombies, and as you mentioned earlier, Cordelius has gone a bit mad from the toxicity of the mushrooms in the forest, almost as if he got zombified by the fungi, completely changing his personality. So his name for me is literally just a combination of the name Cornelius and Cordyceps.

Funny enough Rico was originally called Ricochet and I’m fairly certain the devs changed it cause everyone referred to him as Rico. I think they changed the name when the remodelled a lot of the brawlers

For the new brawlers that came out after this video: Charlie: her name is based on the book/movie Charlotte's Web, and one of the most prominent characters in that book/movie is Charlotte, who is a spider. Mico: the "M" in his name would most likely be there no matter what since he's a monkey, but it might go beyond that. He attacks with some sort of "Mic", and tamarins, a type of monkey, are called "Mico" in portuguese (probably just in brazilian portuguese, as I'm not aware of that word in european portuguese), and this might work since Dani, one of the Brawl Stars community managers, is brazilian. Kit: nothing too deep here, I think his name just comes from the word "kitten". Larry and Lawrie (not out yet, but they've been announced): Lawrie's name comes from the word "law", since he and his twin brother are some sort of police officers in Starr Park, who obviously enforce the law. As for Larry, I think they just gave him a similar name to go nicely with his twins' (even though technically Larry is the main twin, since it's the one you play as).

I think Buzz is named Buzz because he’s a buzzkill. A buzzkill is somebody who is a stickler to the rules and doesn’t allow others to have fun, which fits Buzz pretty well.

I think Pam's name could be in relation to the word "pamper" which means to "indulge with every attention, comfort, and kindness; spoil". Which relates to her being a mother and a support brawler who heals. As for Piper, it means pipe player, so it could kind of relate to her using a long range weapon, but I digress. It can also be a reference to Mary Poppins since she has the whole lady with umbrella persona going on, and her super is poppin'!

I personally think that Buzz's name comes from the fact that he's a lifeguard, which often have a lot of rules, for example not letting you jump into a pool aggressively. So most children trying to have fun on the peach/at a pool would call a lifeguard "buzzkill", which in very, very old slang means someone who ruins having fun, which is basically what lifeguards do besides saving lives.

Fang's name actually comes from Bruce Lee, as Fang was inspired by the martial arts movie star. On top of that, Bruce Lee's nickname was "the Fang". Great vid tho.
