Instagram - AdamTheWooATW Never would have guessed this series would have gone on as long as it has . Not planning on stopping the daily uploaded and food adventures for a while . Kinda enjoying it . Also may or may not branch out a distance bit ...take that as you will .
I have been kinda watching you incognito for a while. I love your vlogs! I found you through Jordan the Lion. Will you go back to San Pedro? I live in Wa State but grew up in Pedro. Peace and Love!
GOOD NEWS, Titos Tacos in Culver City is open for Delivery and takeout..... You should try a few tacos and an all beef burrito. I am wanting to see you do it, so I can live vicariously thru you. www.titostacos.com
Fun fact, there's actually a mansion behind the Uhaul there, can only access it through back of Uhaul. I lived next door to Gloria & John for years and my dad ate there weekly since the 60s. A good hard working family business.
It almost looks like a Navajo Taco, which I have had numerous times in Arizona. When we've stayed at the Grand Canyon, we've driven into the Navajo reservation to Cameron. There is a restaurant there that serves them. Sooooooo good!
I personally find the new series to actually be more enjoyable than your pre-COVID content. And a lot more enjoyable than the culinary travel shows on the Food Network! Keep 'em coming!!
My wife makes these kind of tacos for me all the time at home. It's just the flour tortilla that used instead of corn that makes them puffy which you no doubt have figured out by now. They're delicious. I loved the Naugles visit. Makes me ready for one of their beef burritos. MMMMM!
Puffy tacos looked so good. Would love to try one. Sounded nice and crunchy. This food series you’ve been doing is showing me all the different varieties of food that I’ve never been able to try but would like to. So glad you’re keeping this food series going. Thank you 😊
Those tacos look so delicious! The first "taco salad bowl" I ever ate was at Chi-Chi's Restaurant back in my high school days. It was awesome! So was Chi Chi's signature "Mexican Fried Ice Cream" dessert! Thanks for another great video, Adam!
I could’ve typed this! Exactly what I would get at Chi’s Chi’s back in the day. We would also get a virgin strawberry margarita because we were trying to be so cool, but they were delicious. 😃
I grew up in Whittier! Puffy Taco is great, is Borrows Pizza still around? Not sure if I spelled correctly? But we used to hang there too, couple pitchers of Beer and pretty good Pizza. Used to live on Ocean Ave.
I grew up right down the street. There’s nothing like them. Interesting fact, the stand used to be Doug’s burgers owned by the Grandfather of Fergie aka Stacy Ferguson.
Adam if you ever go back to whittier burrito track has the best bean and cheese burrito you will ever have! They are known for their beans. That and a couple shredded beef hard shell tacos and you’re golden! The best! Also uptown whittier is also a neat place to visit if you haven’t. There’s a record store up there and lots of little shops and a Rocky a cola cafe. And up the road from there is Turnball canyon I’m sure you can goggle stories about that place.
Adam, I'm quite surprised you still haven't visited Ramona's Mexican Food. They are a VERY popular L.A. based franchise. I've been trying to bring that restaurant to your attention for the past two weeks! They are authentic Mexican Sonoran. You'll fall LOVE with them
I loved your video on Arturo's Puffy Taco stand. I prefer the chicken, but beef is good too. BTW, if you want to eat some takeout that is so good it will make your eyes roll back, try "Baja Fish Tacos" at 3664 South Bristol St. Santa Ana, CA 92704. They have one in Brea and I think also in Irvine too. Their shrimp tacos are amazingly awesome, but the blackened grilled fish tacos are great too. I always get the two taco combo. Normally Mexican combos just add rice and beans as stomach wadding, but Baja's rice is pretty tasty by itself, especially if the white taco sauce drips into it. I have tried to recreate their white sauce, and though I came close I was never completely successful. If you can get the recipe for it let me know because that is the real secret to the eyes rolling back flavor. It is a bit pricey for takeout, and there are usually long lines especially during peak hours, but believe me when I say it's WELL worth it.
Never had a fluffy taco 🌮 but it sure did look like the ingredients for the taco bowl, I’m enjoying your food reviews as well and looking forward to whenever you do brand out
If you like fish tacos you need to try Los Cotijas in Garden Grove(on Euclid) it was voted the best fish taco in Orange County. if you go its cash only its one of the best fish tacos I have ever had
Here in Oz 🇦🇺 we have pretty decent food, but if there's one thing lacking, it's good Mexican food. Man, I'm as jealous as Big The Foot wanting to get out of the car.
I didn't even know puffy tacos where a thing ha ha. I am obviously living under a rock if I haven't heard of these types of taco's.That seems like a unique type of taco and great video Adam. 😂👍
This is a few miles down the street from where I live and I always wondered how it was. I like out-of-the-way, non-chain Mexican places, but have yet to check this place out. I'll try to remember to go next time I'm feeling hungry.
Looked good. Only problem is that it's located in Whittier. What a junk hole city. Wasn't bad 50 years ago. All of the older nice folks are gone. I was there about 15 years ago and it was horrid.
Woo are there days when your just not feeling it but you put on a happy face anyway because well it's how you make your living. Its totally understandable no one is happy everyday.
good lil sunday vid never heard of a puffy taco wouldnt use any store atm unless its my banks they normal charge few dollars and not worth it taco bowls are the best home made even better!
Adam, just curious: How do you decide where to go each day? Do you have a list, and when you wake up in the morning, you think, oh, I'm craving tacos today, and then choose where to go based on what you feel like eating that day? Or do you have a list with all of the days planned out? Or do you just randomly draw something out of a hat?
I have a list . It’s ever changing and growing and also try to mix it up as far as locations around SoCal go . Not doing same town or food types for consecutive days . Other than that no real game plan
Good Eats🌮🌮 So far since Covid every purchase I have made prefers the use of a credit card. The only time I have used my cash since now is to give a tip curbside.
Hey Adam! How about a midweek stay in San Clemente. They have a pier, Bike shop rental? Local cuisine. It’s one of the few places I don’t know about. Richard Nixon Homestead. Maybe. You could walk the beach in your socks & shoes like Dick. CJ
Those tacos look super crispy and delicious. If I make it up there, I'll give'm a try. Thank you for going there. By the way I love the commentary with Big the Foot.
@@Gogogordy1 Gordy-dito?? Lol !! There seems to be an awesome theme, developing. (Just FYI - my ex used to call me, "burrito butt".......but, I digress.)
@@kevina2052 I see your point, but a taco shop that has taken cash forever will not change that for anything. They are doing it for tax evasion and potentially money laundering. The ones I know are still doing it and if they all of a sudden report earnings through card sales, it would be a huge red flag. The cash only thing is specifically to evade taxes and honestly I don't blame them
So happy to see this review brotha! I grew up a couple miles from this family owned institution. The food at Arturo's is very high-quality and well worth the quick trip off the i5.
